Can we get actual Cargo back?

  • I played bf15 Cargo last night coz Bf17 matches so laggy since patch ...but they are just full of bacta guards and explosive shot KD cowboys....no skill in it at all so it needs careful though otherwise it might be a disappointment Personally for me DZ before Cargo...better for solo players

    Bacta bomb isn't that much different than health boosts like battle command and toughen up, so I don't know why people hated on that so much, but not the star cards for BF2?

    I think all of Bf2015 was super arcade-y in general because everyone had rocket packs, so if they eliminate the rocket packs like they did with BF2 it would be even better.

    Most importantly, we need two cargo zones like capture the flag of course... not sure how/why DICE didn't understand that with "jetpack cargo. " And we should just have the normal trooper classes used in Strike/Blast-reinforcements either way.

    It was the COMBO .No idea what Arcadey actually means. The jetpacks added a great element and speeded up the game...The bad bit was giving them faulty autoaim while shooting midair eg Jumpsniping

    Maybe there could be rocket trooper reinforcements or even boost items like the old game to pick up a rocket pack (less likely than reinforcements)

    Haha... a hard yes or a hard no sounds like it could also be a hard maybe? :smiley: I think it will come out in due time if they want people to continue playing this game, but maybe this will inspire someone to move slightly more urgently.

    I’m cool with no jet packs in cargo, it’ll be fine either way, it just added a speed element and took more skill to kill guys. Dropzone is another story, it absolutely needs jet packs for it to work right imo. It was designed around jet packs in the first game and taking them away wouldn’t be dropzone imo.

    Many say it breaks immersion yet have no problem with Vader fighting Finn, or with the cross era stuff, that to me breaks immersion more than jp’s ever will. Also many FPS games like Cod, titianfall, halo, and overwatch to name a few all have, or have had jet packs of some kind. It adds a speed element, I also understand why some don’t like it. I personally loved the jet packs on bf15 and thought it opened up the map and made another level of vertical gameplay imo.

    Seeing as the likely reason that person (and all who've repeated the action) do it is to have a 100+ kill match, I doubt they care.

    Not a glitch, just an exploit of game mechanics on one map. Some genius (*sarcasm*) figured out that partying up and going to the top of the tall tower on Maz's castle with the package & 2-3 flame troopers is the recipe for making a Strike match go on FOREVER and for those people to rack up obscene kill counts. With no OT time limit they can stay up there indefinitely. The only way to get them out is for people to party up on the other side, get Wookiees, then health buff and kamikaze run them with imploders.

    100 kills? Yeah right lol. I’ve only seen anything close to that once. Last week a couple flametroopers tried this but they only managed to get 30 kills max although it did go on for a little while, which was annoying. Maybe they werent so good or we didn’t care as much. I think our team didn’t run up there as often as they would’ve liked. We just fought the other players in the Forrest mostly.

    I did lead everyone with about 65 kills though, so it wasn’t too horrible of a time. :sunglasses: We ended up going there eventually with a couple wookies to end things after they managed to eliminate us several rounds in a row of rushing in there to no avail.

    The lack of timer in overtime is ridiculous... they can make it so long that we wouldn’t even notice like maybe 20-30 minutes, but there should be some kind of timer. Lol

    I agree about extraction.... it was ok but nothing like cargo or Dz

    That’s not a bad idea. But original cargo shouldn’t really have an overtime problem if they do bring back original cargo it wouldn’t be original without a timer.

    What if they added original cargo but there was an overtime in addition to a time limit? Like say the score was 5/5 and you’re about to deliver when you get killed just before delivering, what maybe 1 minute overtime to see if the team that almost delivered can do it?

    Not for me it was partying up versus solos only and trolling .... worse case obviously later on lathering each up with Bacta and prearranged loadouts to maximise the trolling...so Cargo was both pleasure but a lot of time pain...fixable of course

    Yeah, something like that. I'd like to see some form of overtime that would attempt to force a win/lose scenario as opposed to the draws from the last game.

    I told some friends that I play with regularly about that video. They all laughed, and then admitted to wanting to try it one time for the hell of it.

    To be honest, the thought of doing it 1 time is intriguing...but I think it would feel like the time I got fed up with a crew of bactaguards in Cargo '15. I decided to give them a taste of their own medicine and countered with med droid + adrenaline stim + bacta bomb + bodyguard with DH-17/EE-4. I immediately felt good for dropping a 50+/<5 and forcing them to all find another rotation, but then I felt cheap and dirty. :D:p:s

    Edit...oh, and dodgeimploder sounds fascinating. We should expand on this idea. LoL

    Yeah I think no draws would be nice. Sometimes it is nice to have draws though.

    Making everyone use jet packs and rocket launchers sounds fun in theory as a temporary mode, and I guess there must be some people who enjoy it, but this really isn’t a patch on Cargo from 2015.

    I’m actually resenting having to play five rounds of it to get the skin I’d like. Trooper classes only without reinforcements, and a cargo to defend and attack would be massively superior to this.

    Any chance we could get Cargo 2015 back? It’s the mode that kept me playing BF1 right up until the sequel came out, it was legit one of the best modes I’ve ever enjoyed in a shooter.

    They’re Watching & Reading. Despite what some say, they do in fact read & take notice. They’ve posted within threads multiple times before stating the exact same thing I just did.
