Does Ewok Hunt Present a Good Option for Galactic Assault?

In Ewok Hunt the Ewoks don’t light up with a class icon, name and health bar. Couldn’t this be an acceptable option for the rest of the modes? For instance, when sniping great distances on Hoth, you don’t actually have to see an opposing player, just wait until the icons light up and then you’ll know exactly where he is! I’ve gotten many headshot kills through tree canopies and in dark areas just firing at the spot just below the icon where I guess the head is.

I think what Ewok hunt demonstrates is that part of the fun is the surprise/scare factor. Would GA or Blast be more fun if it wasn’t quite so obvious where the enemy was.

Also take Heroes off the radar. ?

In other modes I feel it would make them worse not better. Every mode apart from SA (nonwhere to hide). It would just be one big camp fest. They would have to rename game to star wars hard-core camp 2.

Yes, the icons should be removed
  • Let's all remember that Luke's hand didn't clank to the stone when he vanished....Everything organic disappears as a force ghost. The in-organic stays...

  • I would agree that heroes need to be taken off radar.

In regard to the icons, I personally wouldn't mind if they went away but I believe it is a kind of crutch for less skilled players because this game is designed to appeal to the average player, or even a noob. I could see noobs really struggling without the icon, even more than they already do. If I had to guess, that is why it's there.

So maybe a compromise is that new players (say levels 1-20) receive the icon just to help them get the hang of the game, but once you reach a certain level the icon permanently goes away? Just a thought.

I think that would be difficult to program in there, but maybe not. I feel like at a certain distance if you can't actually see who or what the player is then you shouldn't see the icons. And that kills me because I love long-distance sniping, but I also feel like it gives really good snipers the advantage of stealth. Stealth should still be a thing someone can use.

The Stealth star card on the Specialist should remove it totally. I think it should only show up in a certain range, or if you're looking directly at them outside that range.

Yep. Would add Stealth to the Specialist more deeply.

It would be nice, Ewoks would need a better weapon or maybe buff a lot melee attacks.

That's an interesting idea. Wish there was a way we could just test some of this stuff out and work out the kinks.
