This event is helping a lot to level up the hero ships. It still a pain but its helping.

Why dont you guys keep this permanent for SA until you come with a better solution for the hero ship leveling issue?

    Played SA all day today.

    Imho it's still not even close to normal GA and HvV leveling.

    A) We need more Hero ships simultaneously.

    and B) Double XP is not enough. It needs like Pentuple (5x) XP at least to be even close to HvV speeds.

    I'm hopeful that what time I get to play Saturday and Sunday will get my remaining hero ships to 25. I have 3 there already, and need a combined 25 levels to get all the rest to that point.

    I'd be fine with them leaving the double XP in place for others to reduce the grind on the hero ships.

    This is one thing that I suggested before also and I dont think its too hard to implement even on a hotfix.

    Adding to GA can help also, but it will require more work from the devs to balance it out. Also only a few a maps and only in phase 1 in most maps we will have the chance to play with then.
  • It would help a lot if the avenge/revenge flags were removed, at least for the smaller hero ships.

    I never got the point of the flags, if you were being pwned in 2015, it was usually pretty easy to track down your tormentor

    Here are my suggestions:

    - Lower the xp required for each level on hero ships

    - Make hero ships EXTREMELY resilient to impact damage. Most of my deaths occur from a random asteroid or cable.

    - Make hero ships completely immune to AI turrets, but not AI ships

    Hero ships aren't fun at all. They're a grind. They're a labor that you slog and trudge onward through.

    It's currently 0622. I've been playing SA non-stop since midnight. In that time, I've managed to level Maul and Tallie one level apiece.

    Here are my suggestions:

    - Make hero ships EXTREMELY resilient to impact damage. Most of my deaths occur from a random asteroid or cable.

    - Make hero ships completely immune to AI turrets, but not AI ships

    Eh? I jumped 4 levels on Rey and Chewy with in 5-8 games... Around 7,000 points per game doubled due to the bonus is 14k per game, which is more than achievable without double XP. I've seen people get over 20k points as Boba like it was easy work.

    I got Tallie to 25 last night in my last game. I was tired, only was able to get her once before the whole night and was ready to give up, but played one last round. Fortunately that last round was a really good one.
    Now I have 3 Hero Ships 25 or up - Slave 1, Tie Silencer, and Tallie.

    To me the biggest issue is there are so very many factors affecting you even getting to play the one you want in a match. Then when you finally do get it you got to hope you don't get erased in the first minute.

    The XP requirements were higher than I expected them to be for a class that has only 1 mode available and accessibility is an issue...

    Oh I wasn't mocking you or anything, I understand the pain as I have moments where I just want to throw my keyboard across the room(like tonight when I got shot twice and died as Slave 1 in spawn). But the Double XP weekend I feel is very good if you can find yourself staying as a hero for 2 phases of a map.
    The reason I asked how long you'd played SA is because it really does take practice to get decent at it. When I first started, the controls were so alien to me that it was difficult to even imagine getting much better, and not having SA available in arcade doesn't help the matter either (HINT BLOODY HINT DICE!), as it forces you to play online and get "rekt" for 3 months while you get to grips with it. Not exactly anyones idea of fun now, is it?

    The grind is worth it though in the end, as flying through the debris at speed is very satisfying when you get good at it. Half the time it's actually fun to try and make people crash, by flying as close to the wire(great tv show) as you can and as erratically as possible, baiting them into rocks or debris.

    Got in some quality play this afternoon with the double XP. It has definitely made a difference in the rate of progress. All dark side now at 25 or higher. Still a bit more to go on light side: Rey (24), Luke (22), Tallie (22), Yoda (21).

    Hopefully I can get in some more action tomorrow and level up at least two more to 25.

    They could also add a ram habilty for then like we had on bf15 on the big ships.
    Also for the Falcons they could add a defender passive hability like the heavy ro help leveling up.

    This is also an issue. There is no place to practice with hero ships and every ships feels and plays different than the next. An offline mode with hero ships would be wonderful.

    As a Main SA player here is my advice:
    1. Avoid Open areas, specially with hero ships!
    2. Learn to fly close to objects, to cover yourself!
    3. Play objective and than u can buy heroships nonstop!
    4. U can get a heroship within 1min if u kill some turrets and players.


    My heroship lvls and feedbacks are:
    Han's Falcon - Lvl40 but it would be lvl 60 if there was no maxlimit :D Good dmg&survivability in the right hands.
    Slave1 - Lvl38 Good turnrate, increadible aoe dmg.
    Scimitar - Lvl36 OP burst, can takedown the falcon in 4seconds:
    Rey's Falcon - Lvl26 Good survivability, bit boring to play with.
    Kylo - Lvl28 Increadible Turnrate, and primary weapon dmg, u cant lose any dogfight with it.
    Vader - Lvl26 Really good turnrate, highspeed, decent sustain dmg
    Poe - Lvl25 good survivability, ez to play with
    Luke -Lvl25 Good survivability, ez to play with
    Iden - Lvl23 upgraded TIE, nothing special
    Yoda - Lvl15 dont like to play with
    Tallie - Lvl15 Dont like to play with

    6 months later and they finally drop a double XP, they should have been dropping these every week for the last 6 months to help us cope with this trash game.

    First point I agree. XP in general is bland in SA compared to HvVs or GA. I earn much more XP on a regular basis in HvVs as a mediocre player than topping the board in SA.

    2nd point, while yes annoying if I crash into something, I shake the dust off, curse at myself and move on. If most of your deaths are from crashing I suggest adjusting your strategy somehow.

    I don’t think I’ve ever died from an AI turret as a hero ship.

    I can see the light at the end of the 25 tunnel. After a few matches this morning all that I've got left is: Luke (22), Tallie (24), and Yoda (22).

    Maybe I can squeeze in a few rounds after the wife goes to bed. If not, then I'll be able to grind out those last 7 levels this week. Then I'm putting SA down got a while and going back to infantry.

    The solution is pretty simple: a Space-Blast mode with Hero Ships. Add double XP to it and it'll be a lot easier to level hero ships up.
    Another solution might be just lowering the levels for hero ships to upgrade their cards to epic.

    And these are only 2 solutions I thought about on the spot, the point is: would the Developers be able to do anything like that? ;)

    Yes, each one is very different than the other. To add to the fun, the abilities that are similar are mapped differently on each ship. Some you hard lock with R1, some R2, or others you use R1-L2 combination. I always have to make sure to pay attention when I first grab the ship which button does what...

    The grind is over! (until additional ships are added) Just got those last 3 to 25. I'm putting SA down for a while and enjoying some infantry modes.

    Good Job, i had already my hero ships at 25 and just took this xp event to level what I could the others. Was able to put Poe to 40 and Kylo at 37 with all cards unlocked. Lowest I have is Iden at 26 now.
    Only thing i have left to max it out are then and the artillery.

    The thing that I most excited on the next patch is to see if they are doing some changes for the hero ships xp.
