I was informed that Clone skins were made but EA just kept them locked with no intention of unlocking them to us.. that is NOT ok!

People had to complain about rainbow troopers so now we have to wait until they come up with other skins. That or they are just delaying them for a clone wars season.

"Do the people at EA listen to us? or are they just ignoring us??" Maybe if people stopped posting stuff demanding this and that like self entitled so and sos they might. Quite honestly if peoplke talked to me the way some people post about EA they'd get nothing.

People post the truth sometimes. And of course they’re not listening to us. It’s a business and their first priority is money. They’ll do whatever is most beneficial financially before they sacrifice anything for the player base, whether they wait patiently or not. It’s no wonder people are demanding, they waited 6 months for this content and it’s not what anyone asked for. It’s not entitled whatsoever.

Did it maybe occur to you that they might have made them as a preliminary thing as different legions, then heard all the complaints about 'please no rainbow clones' (i.e. Having the 501st, 41st, 212th, and Coruscant guards all fighting alongside each other in the same map) and changed how they were going to implement them?
And who is this informant of yours? Nowhere have I heard anyone saying 'they won't ever be unlocked', although I don't watch the clickbait youtubers so that could be it.
Also, make your title relevant to posts please, this sounds like a genuine valid rant/feedback post but it's actually you relaying some rubbish.

Is it that hard to believe they’d lock off content and drop it for the clone wars season later?

No, they don't listen to "us". They listen to their defense force on Twitter and Youtube comments.

The forums are just a place to placate all fans, defense force and otherwise.

They truly ignore their hardcore dedicated fans who don't pat them on the back for every decision they make.

It would certainly come across as though they don't listen, until someone reletively famous like a well known youtuber says something needs to be reworked. It would seem this game is on a lineal development path and won't deviate from that, unless it 100% needs to.

They probably do a mass media event where they post it all up everywhere. Twitter you get little tid-bits from the devs every now and then, such as a few teases about Droidekas and such. Reddit seems to get more developer attention than their own forums, which is slightly lacking in intelligence(they starred out stu-pid????) if you ask me.

Battlefront isn't the only game they have people moaning about or demanding this and that. The mods and devs have started to get involved recently in what we would like to see, and i for one am happy that they do. Unfortunately if you gathered up the multitude of gripes moans and demands there would be no progression as they couldn't achieve anything going forward.

Doesn't matter what they bring out people will gripe still, i for one am content that they bring things out, Ewok hunt was fun and it was a breath of fresh air, what doesn't help is the rumor mill, until its been admitted or denied officially then forget it, and stop hyping the garbage train.

Fair point, but it doesn't help when they spend time developing stuff that no one is asking for. However fun Ewok Hunt may have been for some, it was never asked for on the same level as other things, such as Clone Wars DLC, Starfighter content, game fixes, optimisation and many other things.

You would think that given how they put themselves in this position, with having to redirect all resources to the progression system rework, they would be pandering to the community for a short while, releasing content which they are asking for, then continuing with the games original path. Even if it meant just adding 2 new heroes that are being constantly asked for(Grievous and Obi Wan for example), or Conquest which seems to be the most in demand. Instead, they put their hardwork into Jet Pack Cargo, Ewok Hunt and a few headswap skins. That would have been fine, had they added Conquest instead of JPC and EH.

I am going to be honest with you, I am excited to see what happens over the next few months. I am slightly disappointed that they are not adding heroes right off the bat, but I can wait for when they will be, no doubt, added during the opening week of Solo. Call me a fan boys, I don't care. I love Han, and Old Han better be one of the legendary skins in June.

Indeed. And Starfighter Arcade and no Hologram menues was asked for too. So far the update includes mostly stuff which has been requested by the community. Just becuse they don't relase CW stuff with this season doesn't mean they are not listening. Besides: The Solo movie is coming out in two weeks. Releasing CW stuff now doesn't make any sense at all.

Epic fail, I know. there being a part 2 is even worse, pushing clone wars out that much further. Dice probably has 14 people working on this game max. Totally abandoned ship. What a waste of summer, and here I was really looking forward to it.10/10 on the troll dice, you really got me.

do you honestly think they thought of that?

    no.

they just kept customization out, to make people mad.

if they cared about the people who asked for no rainbow clones, then they would have era locked heroes as well.
Many of the arguments we have about this game would not exist if this was a single player focused game like it should have been since day 1.
  • I hate how so many people in this community complain about skins “breaking continuity” for a video game based on a franchise. This game should be about the celebration of Star Wars long standing popularity, not “seeing 501st and senate guard together means my experience is ruined.”

Aren't these just recycled skins/map from 2015? We've been asking for new maps for Starfighter Assault, new heroes, actual new content....but it seems like we just keep getting reheated leftovers.

I'm happy for the folks who wanted SA Arcade, but we know that's no great stretch for them to program, considering that PC modders basically got about 85% of the way there, with a working (but limited) version of Arcade with no official help.

Also, I'd been meaning to ask where your avatar came from? He looks like Abe Lincoln had a stroke and then got into cosplay. Indiana Abe? :p

You sure you're not projecting? (Or are you just going to truly ignore my post because it can be taken as criticism to your viewpoints.)

They have listened, and they have changed things due to harsh criticism. Just because they haven't changed everything that people have complained about or suggested, doesn't mean they aren't getting around to approving or rejecting something. One of the largest examples of sacrifices from EA/Dice, was the removal of their main source of additional revenue; Lootboxes. Besides that, they're going to be removing/altering the Holographic effect when viewing characters, because it's been asked for. (And that's not even the half of it; They've buffed and nerfed things, and reverted things back to normal, because of all the times people have complained about something needing to be less/more effective. They've even preformed hotfixes from what I perceived as a requests from players. )

That being said, I hope they listened to everyone (including myself) who voiced that some of us *don't* want to see the implementation of open voice chat in the game, for consoles. (There've been 3 or 4 threads that I've personally seen here concerning the matter, & I've only posted in 2, if I recall correctly. For the sake of others, and myself, I hope that open lobby voice chat isn't even on their list of things to do, due to some mechanical error or clash that'd make it impossible to add.)

Whilst I hope June is substantial, we still don't know what we are getting as of yet. I think both sides of the coin are right in a sense. On the one hand, we are getting new content. On the other, it doesn't seem like a large amount as of yet, and we don't know technically what June holds. I like the game overall, but I think its best to see what we get in June and overall in the season before we start claiming we are getting a large content drop or the opposite of EA aren't doing enough. I think that's moreso a logical perspective, rather than following in blind faith or hating for no reason.

Firstly, let's get one thing straight. Not "we" you, speak for yourself. A lot of players have spent their hard earned cash and anticipated to get adequate content and waited half a year only just to receive a old ported SWBF15 map and a few skins, in your eyes that's acceptable but it is not in mine and certainly not for a triple A title game. Now knowing how things are currently going and EA/DICE's current track record for this game, I highly doubt we will get any substantial content in June.

Statistically the users on this forum make up a very, very small percentage of the total number of players of this game. The biggest posts on this forum might have several hundred responses. And many of those posts are the same people posting multiple times.

Considering the game sold 10 million copies if only 10% of those people still play that's still 1 million people. A couple hundred or so vocal people on this forum is still a very small percentage of the total player base. Even 1000 vocal people on this forum is still only 1/10th of 1% of that 1 million active players.

I'm sure they are listening but at the same time your voice isn't as loud as you think it is.

Get 600000 down votes and they listen. Get a couple hundred and they don't.
  • Some of us want more progressional unlockables rather than skins and modes, progression is what keeps most people playing a game, though there are some chimpanzees who like the repetition of just grinding credits with nothing new other than a skin to buy.
But also as I've stated in defense of the released solo heroes now it may spoil the movies plot by making say Emelia Clarke's character a villain we'd then know she's a bad guy so due to that I am willing to wait until June to see if we get heroes at the very least.
If we don't then I will be rid of this drab game, one final thing if anything has shown me that money does come first is them releasing pay for content items like like skins first rather than maps etc so they gauge how lucrative the game still is, but I fear only 2 skins may not cut the mustard!!
  • I don’t want heroes or offline modes. I want maps and infantry game modes. Most importantly, MAPS. Honestly, I don’t care at this point if it’s brand new maps or if they’ve been pulled from the last game. Just something new. For all modes. Not just Blast and/or HVV.
