Wow, Strike is actually a lot of fun

Yeah I would agree with especially with Blast since it’s constant non-stop action and you can rack up kills, which unlocks the weapons.

I would have to agree about Strike now that I've played it a bit...I had one match last night where I hit 48 or so eliminations! Wish I had known this earlier... :/
My Wookie went to Scarif and all I got was this lousy t-shirt...

That’s true... especially easy to get lots of kills when it goes into overtime forever. Lol

  • Only thing that can make strike infuriating is that some maps are heavily favoured for one team,

Cargo would lessen that issue since both sides would be balanced with the same objectives.

Actually this part is easy if the rebels have a decent aerial. The aerial either distracts/takes out the encamped enemies for a carrier to get past or the aerial takes it out. All you have to do is get the package one millimeter out of the bunker and the spawns switch to something more tolerable.

Truth! One millimeter is all you need to get your allies to spawn outside of the bunker, then it's time to say:

I love strike, like yourself I never played it at first
But it's less chaotic, less laggy

Unfortunately it's gotten no love since launch

Just finished a crazy-long match with @Jello770 ...I was 1 elimination shy of 100, while jello and another player finished just above 100.

Unfortunately, we were the droids in Kamino and lost...

First game together was me 29 with a 2 round back to back Massacre. Real quick.

MM did it’s thing next game (for once), and we had a little bit of a longer match, lower scores, same end result. Grabbed a WW at the end to use BP for something lol. I was using my "Top Secret" Assault Build :)

I played my first Strike match (which lead to several awesome strike matches after that) in a long time, yesterday, and I had a lot of fun. We worked well as a team, and pretty much decimated the opposing team.

Pre-mades and Strike? How can you NOT do well?

How is it even fun to run in stacked parties? It's darn near impossible to lose.

Do none of you “Play with friends”!?

That’s what a “Party” is. This “OH no clans” taboo garbage is silly. If you have friends, and you play with them, guess what, You’re in a Party, You’re Premade, And unless You Suck, you’re going to stomp.

Skill doesn’t Magically appear in groups.
Nor does it Disappear when Solo Queing.
You’re either Good, or you need to Git Gud.vazmco7meo29.gif

And for the Record, it’s Always Fun playing with your crew.

I strongly disagree. I used to play with some of my XBL friends on Supremacy, and it was just too easy. The games aren't exciting when you can tune off and still win with ease. By stacking in a big party, you can slack off and still win. I prefer the challenge of trying to lead my team to victory.

The outcome of the matches is never in doubt. The games become predictable, repetitive, and uncompetitive. That takes away the excitement, especially for competitive lone wolf players who have no chance to win merely because the other team is running stacked.

MM is at fault. Not the players playing together with friends/Clans.

There will always be Video Games, and Friends/Clans playing together Enjoying those video games.

I get you, you get me, neither of us is at fault. No need for Shifting Blame towards “Gosh darnit, dang them “Stacked Friends/Clans” teams. People around here Demonize Clans/Premades.

Remove the tag what do you have? Friends playing together.

Ok it’s official. Strike is my new favorite mode. It’s all thanks to this thread as well, and as fate would have it my first match I got paired up with the OP. Man this mode is fun!

I had one of the best moments I’ve had in this game today on DS2, where I flanked the entire enemy team, stole the plans and delivered them to the objective as an Assault just as I died.

Oh and I got a 4-man Ion grenade kill as well >:)

I think a simple dot next to people who are partied-up with their friends would help a ton.

And personally, I see it both ways - most partied-up players are just looking to have fun with their friends. But parties can make for a miserable solo player experience. Neither is wrong, per se, but unfortunately the lack of proper MM leaves to two in direct conflict with one another.

Would be a nice addition, overwatch does this well. Wait to after the match then have it appear in the stats, this would be to keep people from leaving early or before the match starts.

I used to play Strike a lot, then kinda stopped. I played a few rounds Friday night though because I kept getting put in a Jakku GA lobby, and I've got back into it. It is fun, and I find a lot more fast paced than GA because the map is that much smaller and everyone's focused on the objective rather than running round cheesing kills and trying to farm up for the hero.
Having a Crait, Bespin and Jabba's Palace map would be cool. Crait could be 'place charges on the Resistance Transports' and it takes place mainly near the back of the mine hangar, Bespin could be 'Extract the Rebel data' (mainly because I don't think there's any Imperial extract objectives, they're either blowing stuff up or defending) and Jabba's Palace I guess would be 'Steal the package'? Or possibly blow up some generators or something. Idk.
Another idea would be switching sides after each round - so if you play a round on Takodana as FO, you get put as Resistance next round (rounds being the best of three thing rather than the whole match). Alternatively, staying on the same team but moving to a different section of the map with different objectives could be cool - so on Endor, you could successfully extract the data as Rebels, then next round be over at the outpost blowing up the fuel supply and walker bay computers? Could work.

I don’t know.. takes away from the best of 3 format kinda although sometimes one side has an easier task to do so maybe it would be fair to at least give them once chance to be the other side.

Premade = group of partied-up players that come to a match as a “premade” team

Oh ok... that makes sense. I only play solo... maybe I should change my gamer tag name. Also, I don’t think it’s a big deal to “brag” on forums after having a good time especially if someone is just describing the match and how it was fun. I’d assume most people on these forums play enough BF2 to be better than average anyway. I am almost always a top player in Strike so I don’t care about clans playing or not.

Came across something new last night I hadn't really seen in GA - the Specialist's personal shield (probably because the Specialist can't get within 100m of an objective on GA :( ). Is there a counter to this?

The match I noted in my post above went so long because the other team had a specialist that kept using his personal shield to turn off the timer. I was always able to melee him, but never before he turned off the timer. Well played on their part, but is there a quicker counter than just melee?

I was having this issue last night. I eventually switched to Specialist and used Repulsor Cannon to knock her off the objective and let the team terminate her.
  • I don't play Strike mainly because some of the maps aren't designed well, but have considered playing again because I do well in that mode and can be fun.

I used to play regularly in PS4 parties but I never went on Forums and bragged how good we were....how could I ?- it was just so easy .I much prefer the challenge of playing solo in Strike and small modes

    Begone troll.

Missing the point Dartanian. I used to play regularly in PS4 parties but I never went on Forums and bragged how good we were....how could I ?- it was just so easy .I much prefer the challenge of playing solo in Strike and small modes

Let’s see, the Dartanian Comment again, for no reason mind you. Triple post because you realized your mistake and tried to change the reply, and you’re still missing the point.

There’s a reason people here have a problem with you. It’s because you’re incapable of speaking without being rude.

You mean this app caused the triple posts...but hey go ahead and think otherwise .The point is crystal .Double standards when you post how you and a crew dominated while in a pre-made

I posted about the fun me and another player from these forums had in a match of Strike. And how we skilled players kicked some gluteus Maximus. No more, no less.

You got offended quite literally, from nothing. It is what it is.

    Have a wonderful day.

You have done it in several threads

    Cute edit.

Also, having skill isn’t a crime. You shouldn’t be offended by people having fun in a game they’re good at. Stop crying about it.
@Dash_Gaming this guy just wants attention, don’t give it to him & he’ll go away. We all know what a wonderful person you are so don’t let some schmuck bring you down.

Pre-mades and Strike? How can you NOT do well?

If your friends aren’t up to par. Also if the enemy team is skilled enough to be able to take y’all out.

Pre made teams don’t always result in wins, if they’re skilled enough, they’ll still take us out. When I play with @ARC211092 and other friends, we have fun and we do get challenged.

Everybody's perspective on this post is good
    >Less stress; forced to work as a team; not a lot of farming for Hero points; best place for new players (I stay away for this reason - gives them a chance to learn the controls before GA); not much room for the cheaters either - they instantly kill the game mode
Why is this mode in this game? Why not invite a bigger crowd? What would GA look like without the Heroes?
    >Farming for points to spawn a Hero is definitely a progression issue that will haunt this game to the last day. Some see heroes and take a lunch - leaving like 5 players to fight the other side. Or, upset they don't get a hero all match and rage quit or stop trying.

Exactly. Also strike with 2 teams of premade parties against one another is super fun. Both have teamplay and no OP stuff like heroes and vehicles. Has a ton of replay value if it's done right.

GA is too chaotic, and the only true GA experience is farming BP (so most top players always choose officers, thus the nerf officer thread) and play as OP heal heroes to go on 40+ killstreaks. I really don't understand why avg people play GA who never get a chance to play hero/villain.
