9 New Galactic Assault maps + 6 Heroes + 2 Starfighter Assault maps+ 1 Strike Map

I know people will say that we need more new content before we get any recycled content from Battlefront 1—Clone Wars content, especially—and they're right. New maps and heroes are essential and need to be added to the game. (Geonosis, Utupau, Coruscant, with ObiWan, Anakin, Padme, QuiGon, Mace, Jango, Grevious, Dooku)... Even Felucia and Mygeeto would be great additions. No question.

I don't think anyone is completely against "ported" material. It's just that we want some new stuff first. Still, people seem to be freaking out about the addition of this "recycled" content, but they don't seem to to realize that old content doesn't mean ONLY old content. We could get new heroes as well, not to mention one hell of a dose of much needed variety.

I do think that MOST of the maps and content should be ported over in some way, shape, or form.

There are nine (9) Battlefront 1 maps in total that should all be slightly re-tooled and ported as Galactic Assault maps.

The first five are pretty straightforward.
Hoth, Endor, Bespin, Tatooine, and Scarif (5) should be added as Original Trilogy maps. Scarif, of course would reintroduce 2 Heroes — Krennic and Jyn Erso.
The only change I would make to these Walker Assault maps, in general, is to eliminate all but the last set of uplinks. You would have to manually take down the Walkers with Ion Disruptors just like the rest of GA, until the final stage, when you have to activate and hold the uplinks so that that final bombing run can occur and wipe out the walkers.

Sullust (6), with its Clone Wars connection, should be re-introduced as clone wars content. Sullust should add two (2) new Heroes—Ventress and Ashoka.

Jakku (7), should be retooled as a Sequel Trilogy Map, with AT-M6 and AT-ST FO Walkers. Poe and Hux should be the 2 heroes introduced, here.

SABOTAGE (8) and INFILTRATION (9)
Sabotage on Bespin (Carbon Freeze Chamber) and Infiltration on Scarif should be re-introduced as GALACTIC ASSAULT maps and integrated into the GA rotation. Player count may need be raised to 40. Infiltration would use the ground stages on Scarif beach, jungle, and Landing Pad 13.

(10) The Shield Gate portion of Infiltration should be made into a STARFIGHTER ASSAULT MAP. It would use Fondor SA assets along with the Infiltration space stage.

(11) The Imperial blockade and Trench Run from Battle Station should be stitched together for a 2-stage, STARFIGHTER ASSAULT map. Get through the blockade so you can attack the Death Star

(12) Battle Station (Command, Defense, and Power Sector) as STRIKE ESCORT MAP.
Just as it was previously, the goal is to escort and extract R2 from the Death Star.

There is even more BF1 content that could (and should) come to BF2, especially with the Hunt mode expansion, and the rumored return of Cargo and Drop Zone...but more on that next.

I don't particularly care if DICE trades off every other month with new and retro content, or goes all out for the next three seasons with new content then does nothing but pump out "Legacy" content... as long as we get the new content at some point.

  • The only ported maps I want are Bespin for GA, Sullust for basically every gamemode and Scarif for basically every gamemode.

    It's important to have as many different planets as possible, and Sullust and Scarif are two prominent planets in BF2015 that aren't in BFII yet.

    The only Clone Wars maps I want are Geonosis, Coruscant, Utapau, Mustafar, Mygeeto and Felucia. The first 4 are essential, would love all 6 to appear but not expecting it.

    I would personally rather play the old weapons on new maps and in new modes than new ones on the same old ish. But yes, I also think they need to give us some more blasters. At the very least they should add unlockable mods to the default ones.

  • I only want new / more maps for GA.

    I do not care at all about guns/modes/heroes/clone wars, as long as there is no new maps for GA.

    Yeah by new weapons I meant bring over the BF2015 weapons that aren't already in use in BFII as Hutt Contracts. And make default blasters their own individual weapons with attachments.

    This would be great. Just as long as there was some brand new content released to keep other people happy/keep the player base around. SWBF2015 had some great maps, and I see many people on here, Twitter, facebook groups and Reddit that say they haven't played SWBF2015, so it would, in a way, be new content for them.

    I absolutely agree. I want all of this to happen, but as I said up front, I think at least three Prequel era maps (Geonosis, Utupau, and Coruscant) should happen first.

    I also think we should get Prequel Heroes (Obi Wan, Anakin, Padme, Qui Gon, Mace Windu) and Villains (Dooku, Jango, and Grevious).... FIRST.

    This plan of mine is a LONG TERM plan. By the end of the support for this game (which I believe will happen AFTER the release of Episode 9) I would like to see all of this come to pass.

    If it takes more development time/effort/manpower to crank out brand new seasons, maps, and contents, I'd be more than happy to receive a new "Prequel Season" every other month with Battlefront 1 content drops between.

    Of course, along with the recycled content I'd expect new skins, emotes, vehicles, and weapons to fill out the game.

    While I desperately want new PT content, getting all of this ported from Battlefront 1 is crucial to the games longevity.
