It would fix balance, people would have servers with people in it,i really do not understand why use a system that was not great and then use it again when battle log was and is great.
If it aint broke don`t fix it kinda thing. The amount of people that would be all for this would have to be more than less. For the fans and players i thought.i`ll still play it no matter what but you could polish this gem and make it shine so much more.
IF YOU HAVE thanks for not telling us, and it is still not working!
Everytime the round I was in we would finish with nigh on full teams and ecah time wind up in lobbies with only 40% of people needed to continue. Hard to beleive people would quit that fgast, including people on a winning team or teams near evenly matched.
So we proceed to the D'qar map. This is how many people were in thje lobby with me to start the next round -
So, to me it looks like -
1. You have turned matchmaking back on and not told us.
2. It is still leaving people in empty lobbies after each round.
3. It STILL does not work.
TURN THIS CRAP OFF AS IT IS RUINING THE GAME!!!!!!!!
So after Kessel finished, this was how the board stood at the end of the 2nd fight on that map -
This is what I was left with after the "matchmaking" -
Do you people delight in not listening? we told you this blasted thing doesn't work as it dumps you in empty lobbies.
NOTING HAS CHANGED. IT IS MORE ANNOYING THAN ANYTHING YOU HAVE DONE.
PLEASE TURN THIS OFF AND LEAVE IT OFF, OTHERWISE YOU WILL KILL THIS GAME STONE DEAD VERY QUICK. NO ONE WANTS TO SIT IN EMPTY LOBBIES!
I am just more annoyed, let alone angry, DICE and EA that you re-enabled this and did not have the courtesy to announce it. I am tired of being a guinea pig.
Fact is this change just makes me less inclined to play this game. Fat chance I will spend any money on crystals whilst you pull this rubbish.
I cannot play Strike anymore just 3-4 player lobbies after all matches!!!!!!
I guess EA & DICE do not play their own game Online! Forget Internal testing.
Its like the definition of insane.. doing same mistake over and over again.
Spending 15 to 20 minutes between matches/finding new lobbies is ridiculous... If I'm going to invest my time in your game (which I have done daily since launch), I don't want to waste 50% of that time waiting in lobbies.
And please, do not give us (the players) the ability to decide if match making is required. There's always someone that hits the button after a well balanced match. Maybe they're rubbish at the game and didn't do well, maybe they think they're good, but got melted too many times, maybe they just want to test it or maybe they're just jerks... none of these are valid reasons to matchmake though.
Tonight we played a perfectly balanced game on Naboo... final phase went into lengthy OT and was a great game no matter who won... but then someone had to hit the ***** button I'm back to waiting in a lobby that never filled up and everyone eventually left.
The heavy exploding glitch was horrible... but I'd take that back in a heartbeat if it meant we didn't have to get this match making enhancement... at least I'd be able to play the game rather than sit in an empty lobby
If you can't automate the matchmaking - then don't do it. Don't waste any more time and just focus on new content.
Or if you HAVE to give players access to it - then only give the top 5 players from each team the option to hit match make... and majority vote wins.
Played yavin twice, went back to yavin.
Didn't get empty lobbies, but had 1 round really well matched - we lost, but barely...
It was a really enjoyable match, and I thought they've finally cracked it.
...and then someone must have pressed the button because I ended up in a different set of players.
That included one or two I recognised from the previous match, but now on same side as me, instead of opposite.
But the second match was unbalanced and we were slaughtered.
The same thing happened on 2 more rounds and each time seemed to get worse: different set of players, lost every one by increasing margins, and by the third round I ended up in a match where I scored a grand total of 0 kills, due to being utterly outclassed (I'm not talking levels or anything, I mean the opposing players were obviously highly skilled, knew all the right places to hide, and working as a team, etc).
I really want matchmaking to work - I've been one of the ones shouting loudly about it for months, but it's obviously not working as intended at the moment.
Hope you work out how to get it right soon, before it gets shouted down again.
It has nothing to do with a troopers level. I don't know what part of that people don't understand.
They work on a complicated problem, further issues while trying to fix it were predictable.
Getting tempered and going harsh on the Devs wont solve anything, it'll just lead to less communication and frustration on both sides.

This matchmake button is going to kill off the game if it stays in the way its working right now.
Again for the second time for DICE to stop the whiners who are bad at this game from complaining, SHUFFLE the Teams at the loading of the next map.
The Matchmake button right now just creates empty lobbies.
Today I played 1 full game as usual then i saw to my surprise the return of the matchmake button.
I dint press it when the map loaded I went from full Lobby to 4 players, waited 5 minutes never filled up.
I turned off the game in frustration.
I've had some awesome, very close HvV games lately and it's been super fun. I was wondering how I was getting so lucky.
Edit: Apparently, after reading the thread fully, it really was just luck, as I haven't seen this button folks are referring to.
I HAVE been having issues while playing in a party. My friend sees the MVP screen, like normal, but I see a screen saying the match has ended and no results available, as if I had just joined as it ended, when I was there the whole time...

I just played 2 games on Extraction and after each I got thrown out of the lobby and dumped into one that never filled! In the end I simply quit.
What is going on?!
I know I don't speak for everyone, but it seems like a simpler solution that shuffles teams after each map and tries to distribute players based on the last round's score would satisfy a lot of folks' issues.
just my $0.02...
Has a lot to do with it.
They don't know what to do, they have he base weapons no starcards while the other team has all higher level players.
It's ridiculous.
The occasion thing is not happening. it is happening after each match. Sick of it!
Maybe you are the 1%, because I have been playing for the past 6 hours and everybody on each game has been complaining and making a threat to stop playing this game and go to another developer game.
You are the man!!! Turn if off! Turn if off! Turn if off! Turn if off! Turn if off! Turn if off!
In the modes I usually play (Strike & Extraction) you usually want to stay in the same teams even if the opposition won, to have the chance to make it even...
Today it even split a group I was in (me + 1 other), my friend went into a match and my progress bar stuck on 100% (he says the match he was in was full up).
Please, stop listening to the minority who said it was broken - it wasn't. It wasn't perfect, but it was better than this rubbish.
Add me (xbox Oregon server) if you like
please, can you put on hold this matchmaking device, it does nothing beside make me going in search for any mode whatoever after either i win or lose a game.
And it seems to make absolutely no difference whatsoever if I push the "matchmake" button. The exact same thing happens either way. So what is the point of the button, and Why won't EA give more information about what that button is supposed to accomplish? Do we push the button or not?
For no reward whatsoever. Playing arcade really sucks.

I'm not a programmer and I'm sure there's a reason you can't just do team shuffle like you did in BF15. But every time you try to implement a matchmaking change it is a complete disaster. I would rather you do nothing. Just please put whatever you're doing now out of its misery.
Btw, I’m on Xbox.
In GA I was first put into a game on yavin that ended 10 seconds after I got in, on the first phase. Next game was kamino, we won straight through but went to third phase. Competition was easier than normal, came in third overall and got 2 heroes. Next game, Kamino again, Still easier competition, we lost on phase 2.
Game 3, Endor, blowout, we got beat, phase 1. I got second on our team. I’m doing much better individually but don’t know if the games are better matched. Fun to dominate a bit against lower competition though. Lol. No empty lobbies or waiting for me today though.
Not sure how some of you guys are having such major issues though. Anyway make from that what you will, that was my experience so fsr today.

I understand what you're saying, but it was very frustrating to see this matchmaking ruining many players's experiences, watching lots of people reporting in the previous thread how bad it was from the user's perspective across all modes, and then having to read "it performed well".
I know matchmaking is a complex thing and they have plenty of data we don't. But it seems like absolutely no one there even plays the game enough to understand our perspective. Data is very important to decision making, but user experience is just as important, as it lets one understand some non-quantitative, intangible aspects of the experience that are vital for the user in general. Which they seem to be missing by a lot.
I'm very afraid that they implement some new method that'll make metrics look so beautiful to them, but with a frustrating experience on our end that won't appear in the form of data.
And lest we forget, they ignored this issue for SIX months (the game was out for 7) and instead focused on things like holograms...
1. It creates new lobbies when there aren't enough players to fill those lobbies.
2. It does not properly prioritize filling those lobbies. For curiosity, after being dumped into an empty lobby, I went and did housework until I heard the game start. It was about 20 minutes. That's ridiculous.
3. When a lobby eventually does get filled, there seems to be little rhyme or reason WHICH players get put into the lobby, so we end up with unbalanced games. If there is a metric to how they are filling the games, it is really not clear, as the problem this was supposed to solve is not being solved.
4. It ignores the fact that some lobbies are already well-balanced, and it splits the players all away from each other anyway.
5. Map rotation seems to have become more random, which means some maps will be missed for a long time for some players, while they play on other maps repeatedly. This is even more true when you realize that some players have no choice but to leave because they are being held in empty lobbies for so long.
And a question, I haven't explored this myself yet, is anyone being split up from a friend they were playing with? This was a problem the last time they tried this matchmaking. Just wondering if they addressed it before I start going thru the trouble of trying to play with a friend.
