  • New Arcade map nice surprise. Still waiting for the large mode and the real starfighter assault in arcade.

Hopefully news in the roadmap on this.

No new Extraction maps?? :( Really getting tired of Jabbas Palace and Kessel for that mode.

They don’t listen or care I guess
    Very cool!
But I'm still waiting for more Strike maps :-/

They don’t listen or care I guess... nothing new since Nov 2017

Once again a Blast map is all we get. But I understand it’s probably easier for them to do this since it’s already created for HvV and requires less work for them to switch to Blast...

I'll keep hoping that they'll include more Strike maps :-)

Can guarantee they will then campaign for time limits on hero play

I’ve been campaigning for that forever. A timer fhat ticks down when not in proximity to an objective.

  • Sssh! Don't tell them nothing! If they put a clone commander in there let them... Let's play with the commander!
  • This is excellent news. Thank you and please just keep adding content, paid or not, significant or small. You can't go wrong with positive progress. I am equally sick of being frustrated with the game I mostly bought because of the campaign, which was good enough (and I honestly didn't expect much more), but somehow ended up playing for the multiplayer experience, with my own high expectations from a Star Wars title (can anyone here blame me?), and with the negative all in all around it for the most of this year. I can't imagine that this would’ve been very rewarding for the Star Wars Battlefront II team either, so kudos guys, can't wait for Wednesday

  • Are those new weapons too? Will they make it into the game?
    Xbox Gamertag: RustyPapaRelic
  • Bundle clone appearances for me, like totally.

I've been waiting months to unlock Palpatines Let the HATE FLOW through YOU emote as well as a whole lot of other emotes and victory poses.
  • Soooo, no battle damage customization option or kill count markers on the helmets for the clones?

And taking away Fett's one advantage of being able to get to and use the high ground in the hero modes? If that's the case, then what would be the point of playing Fett in the hero modes? Because if he can't get to those places, then the annoying rey and luke would just decimate him.

Very disappointing !! They are delayed 1 month and the only content are 2 skins.

A modder would take little hours or max 1day to create these skins.

    No new GA maps !
    No new weapons !
    No new classes !

Free DLC!!! 100 people working!! XD
    EA laught at us.
    ddw3rc11mp2j.jpg
  • Great pricing on the emotes/victory poses. Decent pricing on the heroes. Bundle pricing on the clone skins is a nice touch. Love the fact that Blast is getting a new map, although I would have preferred something new for Extraction. Hopefully the ping site fix will actually allow more people to get in to matches. Didn't think the BP cost changes were necessary but I'll take it. Be warned though, the rich just got richer. If you're already a beast, this makes it easier to get heroes and to keep heroes. I'll reserve overall judgement until we get the complete patch notes but it's certainly leaning towards the positive. Thanks!

Better still, heroes on a 4 or 5 minute timer with fully regenerative health, that way you can't dominate forever but still have to play tactically so you don't die too quickly.

  • only upside I see from the BP reduction is it might actually make it easier to carry a crappy team otherwise all I see is balance issues but I guess we will see.
  • I'll be waiting for the update of emotes and map fixes to return to the game. A week left! :)
  • also a bug fix, boba balancing for HvV and rolly boys? im actually surprised but this might be a decent update I know by now not to get my hopes up though so we will see in the end its just one single bug fix and there is so many more to be fixed.

We probably arent getting rollie bois this update. Just a tease for the next month or so.

  • I'm satisfied with this Transmission especially concerning the prices for Heroes, Skins and Emotes.

New BP prices will also be a good thing as we won't need to grind intensively to play them multiples Heroes and Vehicles.

I still believe there could be more recycled content from BF1. I mean, bringing back 1 or 2 old maps every month is not much work for the devs and could help avoiding us to get bored.
  • Wow! I can't wait!!! I'm so excited!! :)
  • I am very excited ! and i know this have been talked about alot, but when do you add more bots to Arcade, i don't hope it is like far ahead, since i would like just to go up Against 20-30 bots in Onslaught or team battle, that would make it more fun to play Against bots, and maybe also make it possible that (as your doing with naboo now) adding different sections of the map that you can choose :D
  • So we are only getting 2 Clone skins? :disappointed:

I think, but it is a test to see what people would think of it, then next time they are adding more - i remebmer those nice pink/red ones they had in the snow battle in ST the revenge of the sith!

    hi guys,

here in latin america we have a large group of players, we are some kind of clan with almost 100 player from several countries like Chile, México, Perú, Argentina, Bolivia, etc.
but we aren't the only "clan" in latin america, there is more "Clans" and we try to face each other, thats mean we really need a private server matchmaking because it is so hard to join a battle against clans, some players, when connect to the battle they fall into the opposing team, or stay waiting a place in the match or other users not from our team join in the battle.

please we really need private server matchmaking to launch personalized matches.

thank you for you great work in the game.
    we love this game..
    best regards.

I was content with the mostly white ones already in game. Why is customization such a big deal? I can only understand wanting it with regards to heroes.

Because people would like to make it fit into the era they are fighting like with the yellow for "commandos" like we got a kinda Cody type now! and then we get the Green Camo ones too! that makes making BF2 movies better, and also more kinda of role playing or feeling that you are acc in that era cause you camo fits to the era!

    Incoming Transmission

We’re back for another Community Transmission and this time around, we’re going to be talking about the Elite Corps Update, which is due to arrive on August 29th.

Let’s dive straight into what’s coming.

    mevdpi7cm2xe.jpg
The 41st Elite Corps, or Elite Corps as they came to be known, were a division of the Republic Army that were involved in many iconic battles during the Clone Wars.

Toward the end of the Clone Wars, Elite Corps were present at the Battle of Kashyyyk. Alongside Jedi Master Yoda, they came to the aid of the Wookiees on their home world. Other notable appearances were on Geonosis, where the Elite Corps were sent to assist Anakin Skywalker in retaking the planet.

The 327th Star Corps were known for their distinctive yellow markings on their armor. Led by Jedi General Aayla Secura, they would take part in multiple battles across the Clone Wars. Notably, they were part of the Republic force that were defeated on Quell, despite the arrival of Anakin Skywalker.

The new Clone Trooper Appearances will be priced at 20,000 credits or 500 Crystals each and available for Assault, Heavy and Specialist classes for the Galactic Republic. If you’re looking to pick up all three appearances for each corp, then you’ll be able to take advantage of a bundle that costs 40,000 credits.

    obi6w2md8c2z.png

    75nlzhkoyc6m.jpg

In the next update, you’ll be able to purchase Emotes and Victory Poses for both Heroes and Troopers alike. This has been an often requested feature, so we’re really pleased to see it’s release into the game and look forward to seeing what you get up to with your new Emotes.

Hero Emotes and Victory Poses will cost 2,000 Credits or 50 Crystals each. Trooper Emotes and Victory Poses will cost 1,000 credits or 25 Crystals each.

    u3ppsxhfydd4.jpg

The Theed Hangar on Naboo is a bit of a favorite amongst the community, so we’re pleased to confirm that we’ll be making it available to both Blast and Custom Arcade.

    c1p38t5dtmc9.jpg

Ewok Hunt has been a favorite amongst the community since its inclusion with the Night on Endor update, and there’s been a lot of talk surrounding its temporary nature.

As part of the next update, Ewok Hunt will be here to stay as a permanent game mode within the operations menu.

    y2gv8v6yuex0.png

You’ll now be given a breakdown of your score, eliminations, assists, deaths, your longest kills streak as well as overall placement on scoreboard, your combat placement and your objective score placement and weather or not you’re on the winning team. Remember, always play the objective.

    bt6gqles26ud.jpg

    hy3l3c62psjr.jpg

A new tile in the Home menu will allow for quicker matchmaking into Clone Wars related maps on Galactic Assault. By selecting that tile, you can prioritize matchmaking for Clone Wars - era maps. However, if a match is not currently running on any of those maps, you will get to play into any other Galactic Assault map. This is our first steps to help improve matchmaking in the game. We are constantly working on improving our systems, and strive to achieve progressively better matchmaking going forward.

    f632amlt7z98.jpg

Back at EA Play when we announced that Obi-Wan Kenobi, General Grievous, Anakin Skywalker and Count Dooku were set to arrive in Star Wars Battlefront II, one of the common questions we received revolved around their pricing.

Today, we can confirm that we are targeting a price of 35,000 Credits for each of the new heroes.

We came to this price by using our in-game telemetry data to determine the speed in which players are earning credits, as well as the average amount of credits that each player has saved up. What this tells us is that for newcomers, or players with a credit balance of 0, it shouldn’t take too long to earn the credits needed and for veteran players, you most likely have enough credits already or are very close to reaching that amount.

    gzen7wzozi8m.jpg

You will notice in the release notes that a fix for the x2 Bonus Multiplier is not listed. This is because the x2 multiplier will be removed in an upcoming update as part of the Squad System.

Because of this, we will be lowering the Battlepoint costs for all Heroes and Units across Galactic Assault. Below you’ll find the old costs and the new costs.

    2y7wbn9ppqxm.png

These new costs will be active once the Elite Corps update releases on August 29th.

    oa28twgclw19.jpg

In terms of balancing, we have addressed multiple issues in this update.

Extraction in Jabba’s Palace will have some changes. While playing as a Rebel, you will now notice that the spawn positions have been adjusted.

On Death Star II, we have fixed an issue that allowed players to reach an area behind the armor racks.

On Bespin, players were able to jump onto one of the buildings while playing as a force hero or Boba Fett. A change has been implemented to stop this. A similar issue was present on Kashyyyk, with players able to use Boba Fett’s jetpack to reach places other players could not. This will no longer be possible once the update arrives on August 29th.

There was also an issue at Jabba’s Palace where Boba Fett could stand on one of the ledges and was not easily accessible to other players. This has also been fixed. Sorry, Boba! There’s nowhere to hide now.

We'll be releasing the full release notes in the coming days, stay tuned for those.

    aybs2d9sma5a.jpg

The next Roadmap update will arrive next week. In this update, we’ll break down the seasons (Fall, Winter) and provide details on future content to expect month by month.

Hooray, more immersion breaking... this time with rainbow clones. I love how the OP is littered with lore about the 41st and who fought along side them... then when it comes to playing this game, we’ll have the pleasure of seeing Jedi General REY leading the clones.

  • You might as well have said that the update was coming in September. August 29 is basically the end of the month. We were promised this update in August, and many speculate that we'd receive it around the middle of the month, or at the very least the week of this Community Transmission. But, if everything is already done, why do you have to hold back the content for an entire week, again...

The game is really getting repetitive, and I don't think this is the time to be holding back content. Any content we get can help the game to feel more fresh, revitalized, etc.

So why does it have to be August 29? That's basically September.
  • BP changes are dumb decisions too. Many of us have been playing with a x2 multiplier that hasn’t functioned properly since launch. Good job taking the quick fix route. Middle of the pack players will love this change.

Salutations exalted One, you can send my cheers to the dev teams who worked on this patch, the new maps are great couldn't wait any longer for more Naboo Theed royal hangar.

BUT! sadly yes, other people spotted that before me too, but the more hammering the better fit heh?

As there are other simple issues too that could have been fixed, the one that dearly caught my eyes is to see Commander Bly's armor paint job and 41st still not fixed since they have been leaked, which is a super duper long time.

They still didn't fix the skin for a standard 327th trooper, you guys here are missing a shot at an expansive Commander Bly legendary(?) skin that people might have bought with crystals to support the game!

Heck of it Just make a Clone Commander Hero/reinforcement class or something and gives them legendary skins on top of it with famous quotes from the RotS and The Clone Wars, that 327th star corps skin being part of them.

Did you saw that they didn't even update the 41st skin, just slapped the camo pattern all over the armor, Call'o'doody style?
The Commander Cody visor addon should be another color or something, they should use the standard 41st elite corps scheme (seen in the Yoda's departure for Kashyyyk scene) and Commander Gree's own camo scheme as references.

Please pretty please, give us a deeper customization menu for all factions, in which we can choose Headgear (no helmet for all factions really should be a thing by the way, why couldn't they just have lost their helmet or fully geared up??), torso gear, legs gear, and accessories.

I don't know how it really is but Battlefield V's character customization could be a good foundation to build upon for Battlefront II right? RIGHT?? 8D

There are tons of combinations possible that even if we didn't saw them on screen could still be considered Canon friendly for all factions even CIS...well not really but we can have other separatist races joining their ranks?

I find your lack of Vision disturbingly saddening, it is time for you to Rebel against the oppression of the Mickey Mouse and EA's tyrants!

Comms are certainly getting better, we just need a progress bar that we can check up on to see where the team is at with each patch/update/season.

But I digress, Naboo hanger is a nice touch for Blast. Everything else I’m not overly bothered about and not in a negative way, it’s just that lots of the updates and fixes didn’t bother me or will effect me.

If we're lucky (in the future) they'll block the heroes so they wouldn't be purchased to play on the map.

Except that this is not what people wanted. We saw the rainbow troopers coming and we said 'no'. Posts were about it here and on Reddit countless times trying to draw attention to this and mostly everyone was in agreement that they wanted more diversity in the attachments, markings, etc, but keep legions to specific planets. We told what we wanted again, and again, and again, and again, but they clearly never listened.

It was the cheapest content they could give us, cosmetic changes are by far cheaper and less time consuming than creating new attachments/items with new/additional perimeters. They still have to fix buge and server issues. They have a very small staff and this is better than nothing.

  • I like this update. I was surprised by the clone trooper pricing but I liked the pricing overall listed. Easily attainable. I'm glad Ewok Hunt is permanent just like Extraction. Just as long as Jetpack Cargo is never brought back. That was the worst game mode I'd ever seen. It looks like clone skins will be rolled out in packs right until Geonosis is released. That droideka in the image wasn't by accident. That's a nice hint. Overall, I would be happy if they rolled this kind of update out every month from here on out. At least it gives the community something, anything to look forward to.

There is no SWBF3 in the works, so let's just let this small Dev team do their job, and continue to make this game better. No matter how incrimental it is. Progress and new content is a step forward. Constructive criticism is one thing, but if we keep brow beating this Dev team everytime they take a step forward, cause it's not perfectly exactly what we want down to the finest detail, then they will jump ship and we'll be left to watch our beloved game die. Keep it up Dice you're getting it, almost there. Just a few more content drops and some polishing(not visual polishing, you've done killed it in that arena).
  • @F8RGE any news on if we will be able to see some of the new hero's/villain's gameplay?

Give me an Old Luke skin, and we will be best friends. He is the only one I plan on buying with real $. :-)

You guys concerned about the rainbow trooper effect, ALL should have stayed quiet about wanting clone trooper customization. I guess it's the price you pay. I was content with the mostly white ones already in game. Why is customization such a big deal? I can only understand wanting it with regards to heroes.

Cheapest to make, sure, but it's not going to make them any money either. Two sets of skins and 80,000 credits total, most people will be easily able to afford that without having to buy crystals. Then there's people like myself who probably won't buy these skins at all, even with credits, because of their objection to having multi-legion troops on the battlefield together.
Even if they had gone with something like the customisation concept in my sig, they'd have 16 unique skins, 12 of which can bought (3 per class). That's a lot more potential credits to be spent and people might be more inclined to use crystals if they don't have enough. Instead, you've got a sitaution where most people have enough credits for these skins and some probably won't bother, so this isn't going to help the live service revenue stream at all.

It's really not a big deal. People complained about heroes on maps they didn't belong, but theres nothing wrong with it. Who cares about Rey on Kamino, and who cares about the 501st, 41st, and the 327th fighting together.

They should care. They made a big deal when they revealed this game about it being "authentic", about providing "an authentic experience". But all the cross-era stuff and now rainbow troopers, they can no longer claim this game is authentic and they should give up pretending that it is.

  • So what about space to ground combat ?
  • Can someone please explain why modders give us better skins and customization than the devs themselves? Like please DICE for once give us an update with a decent amount of skins, only getting TWO clone troopers skins after almost what? A YEAR is just...lazy, there are so MANY different legions to make skins based off of, and if I am getting this correctly you still haven't given the 41st legion its proper armor? I mean it SHOULD look like this ol0bfolk8xsv.jpg I just don't understand.

So we had to wait for the fix that will hopefully solve the Ping Site Issue, that will be release in this patch, at least i hope that is still the plan, for this?

There is not really anything in that can justify leaving a portion of your player base unable to play for this so long, so you didn't have to postpone a few skins and some minor improvements in the end game screen

Yes, the fix goes live with this update.

I really hope the ping site issue fix fixes the long standing issue I've been having of the game sending me to an EA IP address in London England, instead of Ohio U.S.

Thread: The lag source needs to be dealt with.

Thank you for fixing matchmaking. That's 1 of 2 fixed. Let's get it so that the game stops using the wrong IP address and make it 2 of 2.

Did someone beat you in the game fairly and you're upset? Was it not bugged or due to lag or a hack and it made you cry? Then please fill out this form and follow it's instructions for sending to the appropriate people.
  • Hi @F8RGE

I see no mention of Tallie Lintra’s milestone (Everyone Goes Home) not working in Hero Starfighters.

    https://battlefront-forums.ea.com/discussion/117286/attn-devs-please-set-squad-flag-for-hero-starfighters

I don’t know if it was a bug or just an oversight but it needs attention. Can someone please confirm this has been addressed?
