Scoring and Quitters

2 questions.

1) How on Earth does scoring work. For example was playing GA ;

Obejective score 3/40
Combat score 1/40
Score board placement 30/40

What on Earth is that mess should I not be higher on the scoreboard????

2) On my last game of GA Hoth map over 1/2 my team left. At one point during the 1st phase we we're playing 8 vs 20, and before the end of the match we were up to 10vs 20.... Like how fair is that? Can they not make something that balances the teams mid way? We weren't even doing that bad on the the 1st phase 1 walker almost destroyed... I tuffed it out but we literally got run over, how come they wouldn't limit the number of heros on the other team? There was an issue too that for some reason it wouldn't let me spwan in as a hero (I had enough points at the end of 1st phase) even though there were only 3 on our team playing as them... Was it because we didn't have that many players? By the time it let me spawn as one, 3rd phase BTW, I got tackled by 4 of their heros! What gives?

  • On the first question I am equally baffled. I've had situations like the one you've described and I've had the exact opposite too. Yesterday I had barely scratched double figures on kills ( yes I'd been spamming out points as the officer some of the time but then I'd spent a lot of time running back to combat as an assault too, those are my excuses lol ) and lots of people had got 20/30/40+ kills yet I was something like 6th on combat score. Go figure.

On the second question, it is frustrating. I guess you'd need data on how often it happens and how long it usually lasts like that. If it only happens very rarely then I guess we just suck it up. If it happens a lot, it would be useful to have something to balance things out in the meantime while you are waiting for people to join. However, with people leaving and joining throughout the entire game, I can't see an easy fix.

Firt time for.me it was this unbalanced... Should have mentioned however that at one point there team was down to 15... So how come they would get 5 more players and we got 2???? Not really whining about it just curious. I've had this happen to in extraction.

It is possible that the other team's additions used the join game feature to play with friends on the other team. I've popped into games with friends that were uneven heavily in favor of my friends' team. Not sure Dice wants to limit friends from playing together even if the match is unbalanced, though it might be beneficial to limit joining a team that has +2 player advantage already.
  • Strike match last weekend ended with 4 V 1 due to quitters, must admit the guy stuck it out and played rather well, just dragged it out for a long time.
  • You know what really troubles me? When I get kicked out by error 201 in hero SFA or HVV. it’s happened three times in the past fortnight when I’m being trounced by another player and I always feel like they just think I rage-quit the match.

I've found that taking out vehicles such as the LAAT and AT-STs gives you a good amount of objective points even if you aren't near the objective. I play specialist a lot with the 242 and disruptor shot and I'm almost always ranked high on objective points ranking (anywhere from 1-5) on maps like Naboo, Hoth, and Kashyyyk. Also, I think killing somebody when they are on the objective or from it gives a good amount of points too but I seem to get the most from vehicle kills. Give it a try with the 242 with improved cooling and disruptor shot and let me know if you have the same luck. It's really easy to take out LAATs and also the manned cannons and radar things on Hoth with this...lottsa points. You can also 1 shot all turrets with this which is very helpful to the team. I have also found that since they nerfed the ion torpedo damage I can get more objective points shooting the MTT and AT-ATs with his loadout (8-9 shots if I'm ready for the launch impact on the target) and you have the added bonus of being able to target tanks and turrets close to the objective where as the ion torpedo would just keep targeting the locked objective even when it's not what you locked onto. The cards I keep equipped when doing this is the stinger pistol, expert weapons handling, and stealth.

Your assuming the score register is working.

Example I used a rocket launcher and I shot hero in front of me in Hero Hunt, I should have received 100 points but I received 0 POINTS. I DID RECEIVE 35 POINTS IN THE SEPERATE next HERO score MENU.

Something is seriously wrong with scoring when hit is registered in one menu but not the other.

I have had 2 years of this I just quit again and again, I will never buy a ea or their associates game again.

Emperor fully upgraded takes 5 to 10 seconds to kill opponent in H vs V. Ridiculous.

Battlefield1 put in a mid game balancer, it is awful and a chunk who get moved from the winning to losing team quit out.
