  • Very excited for Obi-Wan and Geonosis. But I was really hoping for a regular, undamaged General Grievous with a cape. I hope that skin gets added at some point.

    Flash Grenade: Good Change.

    Officer Weapons: Bad Change.

    What needed to be adjusted: BP gain by way of assists with buff commands.

  • Loving the patch notes! I'm so eager to try out all the adjustments and new content! Only a couple days 'til we're deployed to Geonosis, brothers! For the Republic! :sunglasses:

    I must admit, I'm a little concerned there's no mention of certain issues being fixed. If not, hopefully they will in the near future. Also, I didn't see Geonosis being added to Arcade mentioned in the patch notes, either. Will we have to wait beyond the 28th for it? :frowning:

    Here's hoping Obi-Wan will eventually get some new Appearances based on Episode I: The Phantom Menace and Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Likewise, I want a caped Grievous Appearance as he was in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. :smiley:
    Could you make the lightsaber ignition not interrupt the emotes?

    ^This, and please make it so the emotes that automatically power down lightsabers during their animations do not automatically ignite them if the lightsaber was already power down before activating said emote (Luke's "Greetings, Exalted Ones"; Maul's "I Sense Your Fear"; Yoda's "There Is No Try"; Grievous' "Surrender" and "Audio Receptors").

    Also, please make it so that activating any Hero Ability that does not require the use of their lightsaber will not automatically ignite it if it was already powered down before activating said Hero Ability (e.g. Maul's "Choke Hold"; Vader's "Focused Rage" and "Choke"; Luke's "Push" and "Repulse"; etc.).

    Would it be at all possible for the QA staff at EA/DICE to leave down their coffee cups for a minute and actually test out ( and then rush like the wind to fix ) the Character Selection Menus in HvV and ALL other modes before issuing this update??? Perhaps revert the menus to how they were working a couple of hotfixes ago??? The disaster that is tge current selection system mostly effects HvV but is prominent elsewhere. It would sure make playing rounds a lot less frustrating and more quick fire fun again!!

    The main issues are:
    - it is impossible to deselect a character either before the round or post-kill.
    - there is no highlighter during selection ( or else it is stuck on the first character).
    - players cannot change their character during a round after being killed or sometimes even before a game!
    - it happens in lots of other game modes too like SA.

    Of course not. No fix for character/ship not highlighted on selection screen in HvsV either (which is reproducible like clockwork now, i.e., on every 3rd death you’re unable to change character, etc.). Then again, have they even acknowledged these issues? Can’t fix what hasn’t be acknowledged, and if it ain’t acknowledged, then it doesn’t exist. I bet it’s lag. 🙄
    Btw, ever notice the connection troubleshooting makes no mention of testing the connection to EA’s servers, i.e., ping TTL, packet loss, etc.? That’s where the root cause of latency always lies. Recently, I saw a response in Answer HQ suggesting static IP for you’re console/PC configuring your router’s DMZ (console only), and a static IP for your console or PC instead of your router’s DHCP assignment (because new IP’s confuse EA’s servers or some such) as fixed. Um, yeah... most, if not all, routers use NAT so servers on the internet should only be aware of the public IP assigned to your cable modem, and not the private router assignments anyway . The DMZ bit was nonsense as well. It shouldn’t be used with PC’s because it’s a security risk. So PC users are SOL? Besides, I don’t think I trust a $200 router’s firewall to protect my DMZ, and I’m not buying a Cisco Meraki firewall just to to play Battlefront 2. 🙄

  • I truly love this game but there is only on thing that bothers and it seems like you never fix it.
    That thing is the sound bug, when i enter the game i dont have sound at all and the games full volume.
    pleas fix this, it will truly improve my gameplay.
    if you agree with me so like so ea will fix this hopefully.
  • Most recent note of errors for me is in GA during the use in at-st the grenade launcher after a while nothing happens when you hit fire, it reloads and nothing then it relaods and it fires correct then reloads and nothing is this a known Bug? Nothing major and yes keep up the good work team!!! May the force be with you all.

    Yes this is a bug and it has been in the game since July or so. If you use the fast refresh star card when in the AT-ST it fast loads another round of grenades for you, but it fires nothing. When you fire the third time it works again. Basically every odd time you fire the grenades it works and every even time you fire the grenades it doesn't work.

  • Love the new videos and trailers of the new update coming tomorrow. Great work Dice.

    However, there are some areas of concern:
    1. You let explosive shot go through unrelenting advanced....why??????
    2. You decreased chewy's shock grenade time......but didn't decrease Kylo's freeze time. While I know that chewy needed this change all it's going to do is allow the dark side to dominate easier. Light side needs some buffs or changes to help them out a bit. Leia needs something else besides a shield for HvV, leia could also get some of the effects that the officer flash grenade use to have like decreased movement and increased blinding effect, Lando smoke could last longer in base state with no star cards, finn needs something besides all blaster abilities like a melee weapon to battle phasma's melee weapon and help against blocking sith lords.
    3. You fixed the AAT star card issues, but didn't fix the AT-ST star card issues. There are still issues with the grenade refresh card not working properly for AT-ST.
    4. You mentioned that thrust surge was fixed against dead players but it also has spinning issues when you use it against living players too.
    5. Also you didn't do many hero bug fixes other than Grievous...please focus on fixing the long list of hero bugs in the game.

    Thanks for all you have done so far Dice..keep up the good work and I hope to see more clone wars content next year, along with Rogue One content, and SWBF 2015 Content too!
  • PLS give us a NEW battle point sistem.
    We all know how to get heroes, reinforcements (jet-troopers and support) and vehicles in the game.
    But most players prefer to earn points and save them to pay the HEROES and play with them. rarely do players take battle points to play with reinforcements or vehicles, what much happens is at the end of the battle when the player knows that he can't longer take the hero, so what rests is pay to play as reinforcement (which is very frustrating).
    But I was thinking so that before getting a hero, players would have to first be the Reinforcements (or optional vehicles) to after be the Hero. as ?
    we would have more than one type of battle points, two more specifically. will call them the battle point A and the battle point B.
    - Battle Point A is for payment only of Reinforcements and Vehicles and to obtain it (Battle Point A) only by playing with Simple Troops (Specialist, Hard, Assault and Official).
    - Battle Point B is for payment only to Heroes and so it is only playing with Reinforcements or vehicles.
    And of course the prices of heroes, reinforcements and vehicles have been changed.
    What do you think of this idea?

  • I hope all the Timed Challenge issues are finally vanquished, been annoying me since the spring.
  • I want 2 add a few things. 1st off, great update, glad 2 see Grievous fixed or hopefully working better & can't wait 4 Kenobi (I wanted 2 play him b4 SWBF2 came out).

    2ndly, the Officer nerf, 1st off u guys completely miss the point of the nerf. The 2 offensive types of classes are SUPPOSED 2 b the Assault & Heavy classes (I'm a Heavy). The Officers ARE SUPPORT! Specialist would b better if their sight powers functioned like Rey's insight or Boba's radar system where others can see them 4 a less time or something. But when an Officer kills an Assault or Heavy in 1 hit, theres a problem. Now 4 the BP, I dont play an Officer, never was 1, but if u typically get BP 4 doing abilities AND kills (no other type does that I believe, except mayb Specialist), then if u take away the kills and leave Officers 4 support, it might balance. Sure they get more BP from abilities, but it prevents them from trying 2 outgun an Assault or Heavy. Assault if anything should have that gun as Assault are the people that run into the battle, quick & hit hard while Heavies hit harder but r slower. 4 the Officer 2 kill n 1 shot & get BP from abilities, the Officer out ranks every1, but when in the Clone Wars or movies as the Officer class out ranked any1? Its usually Assault or Heavy (Specialist r kinda mixed, not my preference, but ok could have better recon skills as what they have I believe only benefit them).

    3rdly, 4 some people, EA/DICE aint gods. You expect them 2 fix every damn problem under the sun, when they can't, not all at one time. I do like 2 see a Luke buff or change. Personally, I wish (like soldier classes) they have new star cards that can change an ability & it NOT count as 1 of ur 3 star cards equipped. This would make heroes different yet a way 2 (let's say) keep Luke's Repulse & by using a Star Card change it 2 (say) Force Illusion from Ep8 where you get a Defense buff, or say change Darth Vader's choke 2 Force Debris (like n Ep 5 where in Cloud City he throws debris at Luke). Anyway, I'm happy they r tweaking Grievous, it shows they do see problems. Its sad 2 see some of your expectations 2 fix everything with this update when Geonosis, Kenobi & Grievous were their hardest task up 2 date & the has been the most requested 4 a year.

    4th, Kenobi will win because he has the high ground 😁
  • Get rid of the 10 second spawn timer in galactic assault especially with heroes! Let us be able to pick our hero, class, ship, etc right away like before and then wait. However, drop that to 5 seconds not 10!

    I understand nursing the flash bang with the officer and also the officer's presence with points but correct if I'm wrong but isn't this literally 3rd or 4th time they have nerfed the blerg? And if I'm also right I'm pretty sure the initial complaint was about flashbang and points no one said anything about the guns

    Hopefully QA have tested this??? That Character Selection Menus works now for both Heroes AND villains, Showdown, SA etc??? QA need to go through all the selection menus.

  • It sucks because I was hoping they would fix it for grievous but now we cant hear his banter friendly or with yoda (PS4), and now when obi wan comes out it's the same thing. You would think they would work hard to fix it with new heroes coming out. The voice lines are so well done, why pay the exorbitant money for the actual actors if most players cant even appreciate it?

  • I thought people were calling for a nerf to the flash grenade and bp gain at the start of the match? This change will do little to nothing. Speeders are so cheep that they will still be in them and to the opposing teams spawns before either team gets to the initial objectives since the biggest bp gain complaint was about what occurs at the start of the round. Why not give points only when an ally gets their health back faster because of the skill rather then getting points when everybody around is at full health? Also, all you are doing to the flash grenade is removing the impaired movement? What about all the other effects it has? Why if I'm running away and not facing the officer will I continue to be blinded? Will I still be blinded for the same duration? Am I still unable to tumble when blinded or is this included in the update? Will I still will take the same damage? Sounds like it's still be more powerful than Leia's when all you had to do was swap her's and the officer's and be done with it.

    Also, to those that say you need to remove the assist points an officer gets when using recharge command...then you also need to remove the assist points an assault person gets when enemies they reveal are killed. Can't nerf one without the other.

    I'm still having a hard time with these "legendary" classifications. It's not a card level equivalent for starters, but the real issue for these "Legendary" skins is this: say you just had to have those Solo skins, and new Grievous look and you didn't have the credits. 2100 crystals in the PS store is $19.99 USD. So basically if I bought the crystals for one "legendary" skin it would be equivalent to how the much the game itself is generally selling for now. I have bought DLC outfits for other games before, but never anything that close in price for several outfits, let alone one outfit. So if I were to buy all "legendary" skins by crystal purchase alone that would cost $100 USD. Let's be reasonable here: I'll leave out all the adjectives that can be used to describe these moves, but I'll sum up it up in this: C'mon Man!

    Yesterday I OHK'd enemies with the Blurrg, and I'm terrible. I actually felt bad for my enemy, he/she had zero chance. So yeah it should've been nerfed. The officer has been way too good for way too long now, imo.

    I am the same user as Elimelech401, that account was not tied to the game. I am hoping for more Skirmish with split screen and hero AI.

    They just did a Arcade focused feedback on reddit. A large scale mode is in the works (Dennis said that). I am also eager to play the large scale mode.

    yep crystal prices are jacked. If they wanted to make any money on them they'd just reduce the price. I'd buy crystals if it was cost effective but at these outrageous prices you really have to be desperate to do it. I'm sure some dont care and that's fine, but so many more people would probably buy something if they were cheaper. DICE I'm here ready to spend money on the game but your making it really hard to justify.

    If they wanted to make more money off the game, I still don't understand why they didn't make DLC like with BF1. Obviously that would have been another source of revenue and more expansion as people are asking for. TLJ and Solo could easily have been part of a DLC season, and I think there are many that would like to see a Rogue One version in this game. They could have made a four-part DLC season like BF1. I'd like for someone, someday, in the dev department explain why they didn't do that.

    I don't give a rats a$$ about GA or HVV and the OP Heros. I play strike and they have NEVER done ANYTHING for those of us who only play Strike. EVER... Not ONCE...
