I do not usually play GA but gave it a go, amazing map though too chaotic, Teamed in with 7 others, and no one had a clue. Complaints regarding STAP shooting the ground mot of the time.
Suffered massive graphics stuttering during the match, and again later in HVV, only since the update so whats the reason for that?
Oh the other gripe from people in HVV why have you put us only on Clone era maps, pain in the rear, and so boring most of the guys got fed up after 2 hours and went off to play a different game (not mode).

This. Love the clone wars maps in GA but I despise them in HvV especially Kashyyyk and Kamino.

Had two matches last night, won both (clones and seps). Had trouble with the vehicles and aiming, especially when the clones are coming down the hill (phase 2?) And the separatist speeder won't aim up the hill.
Also I would shoot the ATTEs but didn't receive any playing the objective points, so I had no idea if I was doing damage or just cannon fodder.

Somehow I got to play as Obi but got melted by a couple of heavies, and grevious in a tight trench. Oh well.

Visually stunning too, really enjoyed it otherwise.

I don't get much time to play games. Long hours at work.

However, overall this game is massively different from Day 1. I am impressed.

Genosis/Obi Wan/Grievous are fantastic additions to the game. Grievous is probably one of the most fun characters to use on the entire game.

    Genosis:

    Pros:

    - Looks stunning.
    - AT-TEs are fun to use. They can get stuck and they seem a bit weak in terms of health (playing last night) but the way they are dropped and the way they fire are excellent.
    - I probably won't use the speeders much, although the STAP could be fun to get used to. STAP looks cool and players seem to be able to cause a fair amount of damage with them.
    - The game mode, when people play the objectives, is fun.
    - Attention to detail is fantastic throughout.
    - I love the absolute chaos that seems to break out.
    - Seeing Obi Wan and Grievous fight it out close by is great.

    Cons:

    - Droids need more to pilot and more variation.
    - I thought personally that the droids felt a bit weak.
    - Phase 1 is over too quickly.
    - Would be great to have more troopers/players on a map this size.
    - Spiderdroids and Droidekas please.
    - Despite earning the points I NEVER seem to be able to choose a hero/villain.

Some people are moaning and bringing up the old BF games. I used to play those, and this game is FAR superior. I think a lot of it is just nostalgia kicking in.

SNES/N64 games used to cost £50-60 and you would not get an update to bugs/new features etc.

Enjoy what the team are doing and enjoy the game. It has come a LONG way.

managed a couple of goes on Geonosis.
First impression - it reminded me very much of the Raider Camp on BF1, with its crevices and canyons. No bad thing, I liked that map.

1st Game consisted of spawning as a Seperatist and watch everyone run to the terminal & AT-TE. They then proceeded to shoot the AT-TE. Does it even damage it when it is parked?
Lots of shooting, then game over before the AT-TE even started moving.

2nd and 3rd games, spawned as Republic. managed to get to terminal and hold it long enough to start AT-TE.
How do you then get in it? Didn't seem very obvious, so I run a little ahead of it clearing a path. So I thought.
I turned around to find the Droids had spawned in behind the tank and proceeded to shoot and destroy it before it got around the first corner.
All my games so far have ended very quickly, with the Seperatists winning.

So I have no idea what phase I actually made it to. If these were typical games I can't see it being very easy for Republic to make any progress.

Bear in mind both these games were at around 10.00pm UK time so assume the update to AT-TE strength had been put in . i think having some health indicator on to tanks would be useful.

So yeah, it looks quite nice but i'd like to be in a longer game.

The other updates, I think Obi Wans face looks a bit weird on the selction screen. Maybe its cos i'm not rocking 4k HDR only having a normal XB1, but his looks a bit overly fake, probably worse than Leias. Oh and his abilities are a bit hit & miss when they fire.
The new Gievous skin on the other hand is fantastic,

    After playing one night thoughts:
    1) Phase 3 seems to require clones get in ATTEs fast and push as they take damage almost immediately on getting dropped off.
    2) Too many people just focused on killing loses the match.
    3) A very different feel. This should be a good change up versus other maps.
    4) I didn't notice heroes too much. I was either in an AT-TE or a heavy firing at an AT-TE. It was all about heavies, vehicles, and specialists.
    5) I am really use to using shield instead of ion turret. Lost so many fights when I should have rolled instead I tried to pop a nonexistant shield.
    6) First phase is very fun.

If you weren't receiving any score it is because the shield wasn't down so you couldn't damage it.

You need to use the ion shot ability (right one). It is counterintuitive because you need to be in close range (if not you'll just waste your shot) and use the Siege Mode ability first (middle one). At least the icon for the ion shot objective is the same as the ability (probably to help people know what they have to do).

That's why people keep bringing up the old games.

Who cares if snes or n64 didn't get updates back then, at least FULL games were released.

I think he's talking about shooting the AT-TEs, not shooting with the AT-TEs. I am not sure if non-ion weapons are hurting the AT-TEs. Ion torpedo registers damage. DC-15LE did not register points without explosive mod. Explosive sentry sometimes registered player damage, but I don't recall seeing it was registering objective points. Granted, I was either far away or I was up close paying attention to the chaos around me (i.e., trying to stay alive was more important to see if things where registering). May need to hit underbelly with non-ion weapons.

My thoughts on the update (apologies in advance if some of these repeat with others, I haven't read back too much):

    GOOD

    - The map itself is visually stunning. Absolutely beautiful. Props for this. The size of the map is great too - conquest will be epic on Geonosis.
    - I like the living world side of things. Hearing the Geonosians and seeing them flying above everywhere in the catacomb like areas on phase 1 is great. Likewise, phase 2 and 3 seeing the battle alongside the map areas, with AT-TEs dropping in and dwarf spider droids battling away, makes it feel like a massive battle, as it should be.
    - Phases 2 and 3 are great. Whilst taking a while to get used to what was going on (first couple of games felt mad), those 2 phases in particular feel great with the use of vehicles, battling through the terrain, etc.
    - The sandstorm effect is cool, particularly at a distance when you can see the blaster bolts flying from all directions. Felt it also gives you a bit of cover as a saber hero too (with the saber turned off of course).
    - The BARC is excellent, feels very smooth.
    - The AT-TE feels powerful enough being in one, great fun.
    - Sound and visual effects of the OG-9 are very well done.
    - 212th skins look great. Obi-Wan skin and Grievous skin both look good too.
    - The cinematics at the start and victories for both sides are great, particularly the Republic winning!
    - Obi-wan specifically feels fairly well balanced (to me at least) upon release. Yes a few bugs (see next section) but is very viable both in HvV and GA. Feels like he can hold his own against troopers and certain villains. His lines are perfect too.

    COULD IMPROVE

    - Despite liking the living world, it would have been even better to see actual Geonosian models peeking out of catacombs or running off the map. Or hearing their weapons firing off in the distance.
    - Phase 1 - I find clones can end up spawn camping droid areas fairly easily. I find phase 1 tends to end quickly due to this.
    - For phases 2 and 3, it might have been good to see a hint or something appear in a box i.e. when you are in an AT-TE something like 'go into siege mode and use the ion shot to damage the hardcell transports'. I found in the first few games a lot of players didn't seem to know what they were doing. Some hints to keep the battle moving would have been good. Phase 3 especially as it feels like all troopers and heroes just rush to the capture zone whilst AT-TEs hang back, not seeming to realize what the objective is and what to do. Less of a problem once everyone gets the hang of it, but maybe food for thought on future GA maps.
    - I find the AT-TE's still go down too easily despite the buff to health server side (props for noticing this straight away though DICE!). I have seen more Republic victories now but put a few specialists with NT disruptors together and the AT-TE's get obliterated fairly quickly.
    - Likewise, I think a time limit may need added to phase 3 for the Republic. Something still lengthy, but a limit nonetheless. The reason I think this is due to the fact in one game last night (as Seps) we faced an AT-TE pilot on phase 3 who decided to move to the back of the map low down and hide behind the terrain. He couldn't be hit. This ended up going on for about 40-45 minutes before he must of got bored, moved forward and was destroyed. This used to happen in BF15 when someone would get R2 on the Death Star and sit at the back of the map (had limit of respawns then at least).
    - Obi-Wan has a few bugs - all out push doesn't always register (despite me having the range card equipped), his 'your move' emote goes through the 'absolutes' animation. Few audio bugs with the saber too.
    - Obi-Wan also feels like he takes a while with his mind trick animation.
    - Sound bugs on PS4 with Geonosis, such as crackling in phases 2 and 3 (not all the time though) and a nitpicking one in Grievous' theme plays about half an hour after he enters if you pick him!
    - The STAP feels fairly slow, and awkward to aim with. Always seems to be too low and is hard to raise the trigger.
    - Would have liked the OG-9's to be playable, and/or the Dwarf Spider Droids. At the very least an icon to destroy the OG-9's needs to be added when in the AT-TE.

Definitely a great edition though, looking forward to the new mode being playable on it.

Nice post! I thought you had a good analysis especially in the "could improve" area. I posted earlier about my first Geonosis game: I left out that I was placed in a game in progress, and after running around ( I like that sandstorm and constant laser barrage effect too), I jumped into an AT-TE (from being prompted to do so) and just lobbed artillery, and got a big streak, then got spammed by some hater for killing him several times I guess. I had no idea what to else to do and my vehicle would not move forward.

I do agree that Obi-Wan's abilities are not working right. With him and General Grievous there is often a delay (or not at all) in their abilities going off when you press them. I saw a significant improvement in Grievous' thrust surge since this update. Obi-Wan's mind trick, when it works, does't seem to be nearly as effective as Rey's. Also I kept getting mixed up with his push because Luke's is on the left and Obi-Wan's is on the right. The only ability that seemed to work right was his defensive rush which somewhat resembles a one lightsaber version of Grievous' Unrelenting Advance. The emotes would not consistently work right either. But I'm glad Obi-Wan is finally here and am sure there will be patches to continue to refine how well his character works.

Now that I read his comment again it makes more sense. I remember unloading using sentry on them and not seeing any point message while the HP seemed to go down or just seeing the score come and go. I wasn't sure if I wasn't hitting them, somebody else was or if the score was just bugged.

But, I am almost sure that (normal) Sentry damages them even if you don't hit the underbelly and that I got damage from STAPs when driving it. Other than that I kept using Ion weapons on them (the NT-242, the FWMB-10K or just Ion Turret/Missile). I can test today again to see if it really works with other weapons.

Not always, trust me. I've seen many bugs in fully finished older games. Whilst the way games are released now allows breathing room for the developers, it does also mean in the long run, the game is able to bring in big changes.

  • @F8RGE Okay, after a full day of nothing but Geonosis here is my feedback.

Lets go with the pros first.

Beautiful map and well designed. Finally a map that does not end in an enclosed space eliminating the choke point spam. Need more maps with this open battlefront format as this maps plays and feels much better than the current GA maps. Reminds me of the open maps from SWBF 15 so job well done with map design.

Sandstorm is a great addition and would like to see other weather elements added to other maps like a snowstorm on Hoth for example.

    New vehicles.

    No Wookies.

Great battles when teams are evenly matched.

No more tap and kill speeder spam.

    The cons:

Heroes in the first phase. Might not be a popular suggestion with many on here but heroes should be available only after the first phase.

Spawn camping. Noticed a great deal of spawn camping, often done by players with heroes in the first phase, effectively ending the game there. Also enemies spawn camping by the ATTE's drop locations.

Too many heroes total. Should be a max of 4 total and only after phase one. Save the hero spam for the HU events please or provide a large mode with no heroes like we had in SWBF 15.

Matchmaking. Often played the same faction back to back and often had unbalanced teams.

No atmospheric combat. Disappointing that DICE could not find away to get star fighters or the LAAT involved on this map? The lack of air vehicles lessens the feel of an epic battle when the skies are empty. Unfortunately, once again, pilots are neglected.

Droid vehicles (Spider Droid) should be playable.

Should have some indicator to destroy the spider droids.

When playing as Clones, the ATTE's show as enemies on the radar, which has happened with friendly vehicles on other maps. Please fix as it is confusing.

After using the Sentry ability it still will be locked hindering movement. Still needs to be fixed please.

The destroyed ATTE's would linger on the map and still be a target for the ION torpedo.

When spawning in as an AAT would often spawn with another AAT on top of one another.

Servers were horrible. Had very bad lag and was booted from the match quite a few times.

No Geonosis maps for SA, Extraction, HvV, Blast or Strike?

Thanks for listening to and reacting to the communities feedback on the GA mode. Overall I'd say a job well done for Geonosis and hope to see more GA maps with the same open battlefront play style and weather elements, or SWBF 15 maps, added to GA. The addition of air to air, air to ground and ground to air combat should be added for the immersion factor of an epic battlefront.

    Again job well done.
  • I did run into an issue where I was driving the AT-TE and it crawled out of bounds when I was heading directly for the objective. The walker blew up when I ran out of time just to have the Out of Bounds area lift right before my next respawn. Long story short, I lost a walker because the OoB area lasted too long. Can we get that looked at, please?

    NERF OBI-WAN!!

    :D

LOL. I got to play him yesterday and got killed by Greivous within seconds. I guess the force is stronger in the coughing one.
  • Beautiful and a different experience. Looks more like a Battlefield map.

The Good: Heroes cannot dominate in the open fields as they are easily surrounded and mowed down. Makes for a more balanced experience when they just can't run away, regen and then return.

The Bad: The annoying sniper-spam when you are just trying to play the game. Crait and Hoth are similar but this one takes the price as the most annoying.

Played a couple of rounds and have no urge to come back. Perhaps when arcade includes it.
  • The Genosis map is interesting for sure. The sandstorm is a nice addition making it tough on some of the snipers, but not all. Trenches and rocks give good cover. I've been spotting with Binoculars to help my side out, but I guess if there is one thing lacking in this map, it's a choke point where massive close quarters battles can happen. Some of my favorites are the energy generator rooms on Crait, the Hangars in Hoth, The Cantina Courtyard and Junkyard on Tatooine, and of course the best of them all ... THE THRONE ROOM on Nabu! Oh that lovely Throne Room. Sometimes I wish there was just a 10 vs. 10 map (No Heroes) in the Throne Room alone. You could call it Throw Down in the Throne Room!

Oh, and some of the rocks that look like Mushrooms on Genosis are a pain. They are easy to get your character stuck behind sometimes. Overall though, good job so far DICE and thanks for the free DLC.
  • No atmospheric combat. Disappointing that DICE could not find away to get star fighters or the LAAT involved on this map? The lack of air vehicles lessens the feel of an epic battle when the skies are empty. Unfortunately, once again, pilots are neglected.

LAAT's would get shredded by specialists even more than normal. Only chance they would have is if specialists are having too much fun shredding the AT-TEs.
  • I got killed by Obi-Wan before work this morning, and I could swear that it told me I was killed by Luke Skywalker's lightsaber.

I'm not saying it's a bug. It could very easily have been Luke in Hoth gear, and I was very confused. But I could swear it was Obi-Wan, and I never saw another lightsaber in the area.
  • For all those who were wondering about what to do in Phase 3:

The walkers need to reach the capture point at the end. I think it's kinda obvious, because it's locked and can't be captured. The objectives are always clear and in my opinion were easy to achieve. Since they've upgraded the health for the AT-TEs it's been a lot easier to win as the Republic.

I've played Geonosis for about 5-6 hours now and as far as I can tell, it always comes down to your team playing the objectives. If your team doesn't destroy the walkers, then the Republic will easily win. If the walkers don't move foward, then you'll see one after another being destroyed. Oh and after destroying the Hardcells in Phase 2 the Republic obviously gets new reinforcements, so stop focusing on racking up kills and instead play the objective.
That's what we did and Republic count was down to 0 but the problem is the tanks kept spawning into the match for what seemed like another 10 minutes. We had to have taken out 15-20 tanks but the round just wouldn't end until the droids lost. This is why I get so confused on this map. I was playing a specialist with disruptor and I was only targeting tanks and not going for kills and judging by how many we were destroying a lot of people were focused on the objective.

I'm not sure what countdown is counting. It could be counting AT-TE destroyed, but game doesn't end until every AT-TE deployed (even if not on the ground) is destroyed. It may be counting AT-TEs deployed and the droids still have to finish them. Whatever it means, destroy AT-TEs until there are no more. As long as one is on battlefield, game continues.

That's exactly what the counter does. It counts the remaining AT-TE deployments. And the "health bar" in the background is all of the health points of the remaining AT-TEs on the field. But what he's telling us seems like a bug to me. :#

Or you could buff the health of the LAAT but buffs seem to be foreign concept to most of the player base as they would rather cry for nerfs to the 242 or other weapons.

No Droidekas. No Air support in Galactic assault on Geonosis. (as a Starpilot im really digging being forced to play GEONOSIS WITHOUT ANY FREAKING SHIPS TO FLY, IN GALACTIC FREAKING ASSAULT!) TERRIBLE IDEA!
Servers are all garbage and bloated atm, Patch broke a lot of optimization for PC.
And for some reason you thought it would be a great idea to force us to play Geonosis only. a Planet that is lacking in immersion and content. New players will be deterred by these new issues, the game ALREADY has a bad reputation.
A lot of players will be giving it a chance due to it being on sale and having "Geonosis content".
They will be dissappointed. The game is worse after the patch, and i dont even mind the buffs and or nerfs, I mind the quality of the service, and the FORCED PLAYLIST CHOICE For Galactic assault.
You literally screwed over the pilots, bet we could of bombed those Separatist ships taking off or the clone Walkers.
I cant believe i suggested this game to my friend only a week earlier!
    VERY DISAPPOINTED.

You will get compliments for a job well done when a Job is WELL DONE.

It's about time that GA had a map without starfighters. All due respect but you "starpilots" have an entire mode, plus the entire original GA playlist to choose starfighters. It's nice to finally have a mode where I'm only fighting enemies on the ground.

That said, I wouldn't take issue with an LAAT or two.

This is their most immersive map because the devs have attempted to prevent the inclusion of units not actually at the battle of Geonosis. No wookies AND no starfighters.

However, once Conquest is released. Providing that is a ground forces only mode, I think it would be fair to include starfighters on the GA version of Geonosis.
  • For those saying too many heroes, not sure where you are playing. From what I have seen heroes get mowed down super easy, especially the saber heroes. You can easily spot them from across the map and people are sniping them from all over the place. Genosis is by far the most infantry map in the game.

Dice -> PLEASE do not change the hero count or hero limits because of a very vocal minority.

Just did two rounds of Geonosis.

The good: I was worried the planet would look boring but it looks fantastic. Brilliant job with the lighting in the caves and outside.

The bad: It feels like one extra large game of Blast with hard to understand mission objectives. I feel like I'm just running around in a chaotic battle until someone randomly wins and it looks like everyone else is doing the same too. The Defend icons are confusing as they seem to be just a signal to kill as many droids/clones as possible. It kind of feels like the 10-15 seconds in between objectives on other maps but all of the time. We need detailed verbal cues about what exactly to do instead of just "take that ship down" or "defend that ship". All the maps in BFII make it very easy to know where you need to go and what you need to do. This is the first time where I found myself saying "I have no idea what I'm doing" at my TV.

Yh, I didn't know what the objectives were most of the time, need a bit of tweaking for objective announcements.
Also I would like a tweak for the STAP to make it aim higher,as i could barely hit anyone infront of me, and also make the controls more sensitive; i felt like I was literally dragging the thing around half the time, and it took me like 20secs to turn around.

One other thing to do with Obi-Wan is why did you swap the positions of the rush and push abilities? Both luke and Yoda have the rush on the right-hand slot, and push on the left-hand slot, but now you've swapped them and i keep pushing the 'all-out push' key and obiwan does a rush instead. Bit annoying.

Other than that, well done: beautiful map, love the AT-TE, and look forward to futher updates
  • I think either 1) Hero timers need to be implemented , or 2) limit the amount of times a player can spawn as a hero.

I love this map so far, great job, it's just nice to play something new, this game would've done much better with a new GA map every 3 months. Anyway played for a few hours, things I liked:
    • Graphics
    • Close quarter first phase great (but too short)
    • Awesome terrain change
    • ATTEs were class
    • Obi Wan is ace
    • Different classes do good things on the map
    • Heavy is super for objective play
    • Officer still viable! Take it whiners!
    • Liked the different phases
    • sandstorm!
    • Map layout, ridges, canyons, peaks, all great for varied play

      Things I didn't like:
    • Final phase a little unclear how it ends, droids destroyed ATs but game continued I think?
    • ATs need more health
    • First phase needs to be longer and make more use of the canyons, maybe have more points to CALL and capture, someone else noticed unused caves?
    • Spider droids need hit markers and to be playable
    • STAP aiming is very bad, needs to not point downwards.

Overall loved it, great job, not noticing significant bugs, I just love SW, still love this game despite its problems, just keep new content coming of this standard.

Finally please put phase 1 of this map on blast!

add a god damn slot for the ATTE's, there's plenty of room for it. There's a blank spot right under leia. use it. The MTTs get one. The AT ATs get one. We shouldnt be forced to do extra work because you guys wanted to rush this update

  • Heroes are beginning to spawn camp the ATTE drop locations now.
  • I will say credit where credit is due DICE. You have really exceeded my expectations and hopes. I really wanted to like this map and I ended up loving it. Geonosis is now my favorite map. I love how it starts as one squad trying to call help and changes into all out warfare. The map feels open and has nice bits of cover that are spread out very well. It looks like a Star Wars version of D-Day which is pretty cool. The cover on the map helps to make sure your head doesn't come off every 10 seconds from snipers. The matches I played had more people playing as other classes instead of everyone being a Specialist. The AT-TE not being on rails and being a main objective is one of the best decision you made with that vehicle. It's fun to use, it's powerful, and the controls feel good. Can't say the same for the BARC Speeder and I didn't try the STAP yet. I will say that I'm a little sad that you can't use the spider walkers or hailfires. I do commend your efforts on the storm, it does change the way everyone plays when it comes. But I wish it was more blinding like in the movie. The only thing you could see in the distance would be blaster fire and lightsabers. Nonetheless, it's still fun to encounter and it doesn't make things a chore. You guys did a fantastic job with this map and I'd say it was worth the wait. This could bring new players into BF2 so keep on making maps like this one. Great job DICE.

I keep changing this for whatever reason but ehh...It can stay like this I suppose.
  • At-rt crosshair does not match up with lasers. Have to aim to the right of my targets.
  • is anyone good with the speeder things? they are tough to aim I went right up to a ATTE and unloaded but half the shots missed the laser barrage is a little better but I guess these are more for traversal than getting kills?
  • The map needs two 2 things to be perfect.

    32v32 and

Star fighters. We need air combat over head. I need to be bombed and do some bombing.

The map seems empty at times with only 20v20 maybe with 32v32 it will feel like a battle.

But what do I know I just play the game you guys make it.

...and I'm waiting for my offline map.

Surely not....to have all these people spending their time shooting people on the ground...this is just killing game interest. When you see already that on map where you think you can hide yourself and have your chance you then Dis cover that it is completely bad designed (your are killed even if you hide in metallic container...then i let you imagine in map like geonosis...

The French voice is not the original one also...sad....
  • I hate the map and I hate that it's forced into us without any option to avoid it.

How dare you force feed us something just because it's new.

Where is the option to turn this awful map off?
  • Yeah....to be honest i'm ttle bit disappointed about this map because maybe I was waiting too much....when finally after few games you quickly discover it is an average map.
Was thinking that at the end we will enter a complex or whatever as for example kashyyyk or Crait, but nothing....

No comment also to restrict the customer to play only this map...don't understand how this kind of approach could be validated in a company...Incredible. ..

I got 2 major issues with the map.

    1.
Ion Torpedo as heavy is too overpowered. I can stand at spawn as both Republic and Separatist and just spam Ion torpedos at every vehicle on the map.

It does too much damage on the AT-TEs so bringing them down is easy. AT-TEs need more health or reduce the damage the Ion torpedo does on the AT-TE while adding rocket launchers around the map which Separatists can pick up and use.

    2. The Separatist out-of-bounds zone for Republic is too long. Separatist tanks can hide behind rocks and mountains at spawn and still be able to see and shoot everything on the map while the Republic can't do anything about it since they will be out-of-bounds if they get close to it with vehicles or soldiers.
  • The AT-RTs shoot slightly to the left of the crosshairs now (at least on Xbox One), this makes it really hard to get kills with them since they hardly have any splash damage. Please fix this and make it back to the way it was.
  • Figure out how to match teams vs other teams and stop screwing over solo players
My Wookie went to Scarif and all I got was this lousy t-shirt...

Beautiful map & vehicles - with a bunch of potential (just beautiful work):
    > Several reviews are complaining about the emptiness (20vs20) - I totally agree. There shouldn't be any spawn camping on a map this big. The objectives are clear - but the reinforcements are frustrating / slow / I don't know
    > Not sure what air support would look like but both sides need an 'element-of-surprise' (like: droidekas or some of the deadly animals from the planet). Something needs to strike fast and provide a distraction? Don't know
    > The speeders need a buff / shielding / something. The snipers are rampant and a slow moving object on this map is a duck. Speeeeders are needed. I actually think Count Dooku's speeder is a good choice
    > Scanning for the enemy is definitely missing on this map. And a sunset theme would be cool
Otherwise, I see a lot of hard work - Thank You

To start off, this is a very great update we have been given, for free. Do still some small things that need to be fixed, otherwise a pretty good content.

    Obi-Wan

    - Overall, ability wise pretty good, very good stamina as it should be. The Force Push those not always land the hit on the enemy players but that could just be me aiming poorly.
    - The weird thing is even for 750 health, Obi-Wan dies really quickly when he gets a row of hits on him. Seems to be the only bug or error I can find on the Hero so far.
    - There are some weird bugs with the emotes, mainly the movement of one emote is a move from another emote.

    General Grievous

    - So far no bug, his abilities have been fixed that previously did not work.

    Geonosis

    - The first phase is a nice change on a scale compared to Kashyyyk and Naboo. Star small and each phase escalates which is something I do miss.
    - The downside with this is the first phase is more challenging for the Republic side compared to the second phase. The Cis need to get more restriction the area of the map so the Republic team has a better chance of getting to the objectives.
    - The second phase works, one might have an issue with the Main canon of the AT-TE gun depression, but it makes sense that you have to get close enough to fire on those techno-union ships.
    - The main problem I have might be more towards the players but not really. The third final phase you end up to 4 - AT-TEs, some of these spawn way to early and Republic team is not quick enough to enter the walker before a great amount of damage is dealt on them. They seem to receive more damage when not manned compared to one that is, if you have a very clever/strong CIS team, they can win the match no problem.
    - No need for starfighters, it kind of stomps on people when you have them in a match. In fact, I think you should try to remove them on some of the GA maps like Tatooine.

What might fix this if Republic players spawn in on default, they spawn right into the first unmanned AT-TE(s). When all are manned, you can spawn on the closest one towards the objective.

Overall, more positives than negative in this update. Thanks for the effort.
  • The AT-TE's are really good. the only thing I would do to change them (I use a PS4) is make a way to face backward's so the player can use the aft lasers to defend from behind (unless there's already a way to do that and I haven't found it yet. I have only used them about four or five times since the update came out).
  • Love the map!

Love the scale of it and love the feel of it. I love the way the objectives work but I do have concerns over game balance. The droids have a pretty sizable advantage given their anti-vehicle options with the heavy class after phase 1 and the spawn options during phase 1.

It is hard to see where people are shooting your tanks from because the lasers don’t really trace like they did in previous games and the visibility is low with all the dust in the air.

There needs to be a counter to a group of heavies laying into your tank from the back of the map. Maybe some sort of broad scan pulse sent out every 2-3 minutes would help IDK.

But don’t get me wrong, I love the map! I am just worried I will get frustrated at losing and not really knowing how it happened or what I can do differently to not lose next time.
  • I'm still a little confused what I'm supposed to do on this map. racking up decent points defending the objective or attacking it, I just stand near the icon and shoot enemies.
  • now, heroes unleashed on geonosis please, just geonosis if the crowd cries foul. allow 9 heroes as a trial.
