  • There’s so much that has changed. Bugs and improvements. I can’t really suggest much other than play a lot and stick around here

  • 2 ported maps
    1 small map
    4 new modes
    1 big map
    1 overpowered hero
    1 underpowered hero

    That's basically all you missed

  • Welcome back! Quite a lot has changed so I'll try to fill you in as quick as I can!

A lot of maps? You can say that again! They finally added a handful of maps to both Extraction (Palace Garage, SoroSuub Pipelines and Refinery) and Strike. Man those modes were getting stale. The pilots also were finally shown some love as they added a couple of new SA maps. Poor guys had been waiting since launch. WA maps were ported from BF12 into the GA rotation. They also added infantry only Cargo and HVV TDM. Cargo only has a few maps but they've stated if the mode is as popular as the community make it out to be then they will 100% bring in new maps. Conquest is well, Conquest. People are obsessed with it. HVV was given Crait, Geonosis, all 3 of the Extraction maps along with new maps cut from existing GA maps.

Blasters? They added a new blaster per class. They apologized for the lack of attention weapons have been getting and added the EE3 (Assault), DT12 (Officer), T21 (Heavy) and the BF15 RelbyV10 (Specialist). They also added 3 mods to the default blasters which finally makes them viable. It was sad seeing the likes of the DH17 and the E11 become nothing but dust collectors. This has made gameplay start to feel fresh again.

Heroes? Well, as I'm sure you've heard, we've gotten Grievous and Obi Wan with Dooku and Anakin on route. They recently announced that a Rogue One content drop was in the works with both Jyn and Krennic as heroes. They recognized that the game needed both RO content and a couple of blaster heroes. They also said that they are more than aware that these are "port over" heroes, but they wanted to be able to focus resources on other parts of the game and although still built from the ground up, having them in BF15 does make development slightly easier in some parts. They said that late 2019 they would start to bring a bit of focus back to heroes but have them be inclusive of all eras. So, countering heroes may not be from the same era, which I personally like. Oh, and some hero drops will be accompanied by new Enforcers where appropriate.

Now, with heroes not being the sole focus of the game right now they've been able to focus on both hero and infantry skins. They released a massive batch of easy to make skins like Officer attire color changes, Imperial pauldrons, added alien and human heads from the Campaign, allowed for alien heads to be customizable on all classes, added colour changes for the Twi'lek, Rodian, Aqualish and Duro. It was something like 50 skins so lets just say a lot of us are now out of credits. Big win for DICE! With this batch they added some easier to make hero skins as well such as Maul w/ hood, Kylo w/out hood, ANH Han, Luke sans glove, Boushh w/out helmet, Vader w/ red lenses (ANH & RO) and Stormtrooper Iden. They've announced a massive hero skin content drop with a guarantee of 1 - 2 skins per hero along with a Legendary skin for Chewie, Maul, Obi Wan and Yoda. They didn't say exactly which ones but my guess would be 3PO backback Chewie, Old Maul from SOLO, Old Ben and Force Ghost Yoda. But who knows!

That's pretty much it although I may have missed a few things. Game has really made a resurgence as of late! Cargo, Conquest and HVV TDM have brought back and kept thousands of players. Skins have brought in coin which of course means more resources which means more content for us. The new blasters have basically pumped life back into infantry play! Glad to have you back and enjoy the new content.
