Add damage reduction to ever hero ability with long animations

Obi-Wan while using all out push needs 90% damage reduction, Luke using repulse needs 90% damage reduction, vader with choke at least 40% that way at best he'll have 65% damage reduction, dooku while using exposed weakness & duelist needs damage reduction of 90%, & maul with his choke needs damage reduction. These heros have abilities that just leave them to opened to damage & need something

    Why 90%? Why not 40% or 60%? Why does it have to be such a high number?

    Charging Kenobi's push at this point is suicide, theres almost no point reward in using lukes repulse against infantry. Dooku's expose weakness actually exposes his weakness to vanguard. The list goes on. Reworks need to be made to the old cast of saber Heroes. Blaster users need at least a Heavy's regen.

    Expose weakness has almost no use outside of HvV. I hate that system. Heroes shouldn't have abilities geared towards one mode or the other.

    I think this is all overboard, however the Dooku suggestion is flat out insane - he would be invincible. 90% damage reduction while using expose weakness and duelist? He could basically be non stop at 90% damage reduction. That effectively makes it so every 1 point of damage deals .1, which means he has the equivalent of 7,500 health - seven THOUSAND five hundred health...

    With Anakin I think the idea is that these abilities have very long animations

    With Obi - I think he should just have more base distance - and the charge should be for very long distance push sniping. I think his mind trick should have some damage reduction though.

    I think with Luke's Repulse, Mauls Choke, and Vader's at choke 50% would be fine.

    It's an obvious typo on chosen's part. He means the animation playing in which the hero is immobilized and susceptible to damage. I could probably bring dooku to 20% if he was stupid enough to use expose weakness on me, in general moves with long animations and low payoff discourages the use of them in Galactic assault. That needs to change.

  • Adding damage reduction is not the way to "fix" things, it's like putting paste on a flat tire, it will do the trick but it won't fix the poor game design of those abilities.

  • the hero system need to be redone. a temporary fix could be giving all jedi/sith an auto deflect while walking or running (distance and number of enemies could reflect on how effective the deflect is) timing your block on blasters will reflect the shot back. i think this would make up for leaving heroes exposed when attacking or using force techniques. if you put a damage reduction will turn all heroes into bombs, players would just jump into the enemy and use the force cause they have such a huge dmg reduction. i would like them to add saber forms and each jedi/sith have 2, which you can switch by pressing "y" in a controller. depending each hero's preferred combat style it would increase the stamina, saber or force dmg, while skill cards would allow you to swap the abilities which are favored by the respective hero

    Okay then it's fine - I don't think it's needed at all though - I've never really had an issue with Dooku's animations - just don't do them in the middle of being attacked or when majorly exposed - they are very fast...
