As the OT suggest clone commandos are canon and for DICE to say there’s not enough canon material is a joke. Even through the arc troopers are the counter to commando droids I would like in some point in time for the clone commandos to be added in to the game to replace the Wookiee warriors. Also there appear in the clone wars for an episode and some cameos which makes then canon since the show is canon.

  • Yeah, Clone Commando's need to either be added as the Sentinel class alongside Droiddekas, or added as a replacement enforcer for non-Kashyyyk PT maps.

    Agree
  • Naw. Other eras need attention when it comes to Special Units. CW era literally just had two new ones announced. Chill.

Yeah the sequel and prequel need a replacement for the Wookiee but the original are good.

Unfortunately I think it's an excuse for the real reason. It has been said that they have lost weapon developers to Battlefield 5. The arc troopers and commando droids already have their blasters in game, whereas the clone commando would require a new design. That's why we also don't have any new blasters.

The ARC troopers were modeled after the Sentinel class. Their stuffs already in the game, but the Vibro sword isn't so why is the commando droids sword new and its model is new but no Commando Droids.

i just feel like Charlamagne's account is another one from Ben and he is just trolling and needs some hate taken off.

They make such stupid excuses, no damaged Vader because it breaks canon? HOW IS REY ON KAMINO??? doesn't make any sense what so ever. ITS A GAME, if you go by that logic, then Shattered grievous shouldnt be able to escape or crawl, he should get tired quick and his damage should be less. Chewbacca's damaged arm should reduce his accuracy. just excuse after excuse.

Seems to be specifically blasters, seeing as we've had numerous saber heroes. Would be good if they can openly admit they're not making new blasters because they don't have the devs to do it. Can't see us getting anymore blaster heroes for this reason too. It's a big disappointment with the clone commandos, but I do think it's due to pure laziness and lack of devs. They mentioned earlier that instead of commando droids they were going to do a 3rd Super battle droid. That was probably stopped because they knew what the backlash would be, two recycled reinforcements.

Because it sounds better than we’re under resourced due to the catastrophic failure of loot boxes and loss of a steady stream of revenue.

Here’s the “Star Wars Republic Commando” game, to give anyone who does not know, a good idea of just what a Commando is capable of:

On a side note- the above game is now free for download from Microsoft for the first part of March 2019 on X-Box One.

If that doesn’t get fans of Commandos excited nothing will. Cheers! B)

    ————————————————————————————————————————————————

ALERT: This very accurate source bellow however says it is NOT the Clone Commandos coming that you think for “Infiltrator Class” but rather Arc Troopers but we do get BX Series Droid Commandos:

    https://www.destructoid.com/star-wars-battlefront-ii-s-big-new-mode-lands-march-26-546147.phtml

Sorry guess, maybe latter but I’m still amped for this...I’ve waited a long time for the Arc (Advanced Recon Commando) Troopers. Sooooo we do technically get Clone Commandos just not the ones from the classic game, well....at least not yet.

The Bad Batch (Clone Force 99) was also considered by the Republic Army to be clone commandos. They have their own arc (unfinished episodes that were released already), arc with Yoda on Kashyyyk before ROTS (unconfirmed if in Season 7 or not), appearing in Season 7 through appearance in trailer.

Thank you dev for taking the time to post sir. We appreciate the heads up. I for one am most appreciative of getting the Arc Trooper, good job. Thumbs waaaaaay up. :)

Here’s all the Arc Trooper details posted by DICE:

Coming with the new game mode are two brand-new reinforcements. On the Republic side you’ll now be able to play as an Advanced Recon Commando, known better as an ARC Trooper, and on the Separatist side, you’ll be able to play as a BX-series Droid Commando. Both units will be part of the new Infiltrator Reinforcement class and will also have their own new Star Cards for their abilities!

The ARC Trooper is a gung-ho attacker that rushes into battle wielding his trusty DC-17 pistols. Yes, you read that correctly: pistols. This unit can dual wield pistols and fire them independently, effectively doubling his rate of fire.

With short-ranged blasters, this trooper needs something more versatile for more distant foes. To extend his reach, the ARC trooper’s Power Blast ability overcharges his primary pistol to fire a powerful blast, giving his otherwise short- to medium-ranged arsenal a ranged attack that can also be useful against vehicles. Aim your shot well and it might do just as well against an enemy Villain, too.

For additional battle awareness, the ARC can activate his Helmet Scanner, which lowers his rangerfinder. This emits continuous scan pulses to reveal enemies, even through walls. The time between pulses is longer than how long enemies will be revealed by each pulse, so you’ll still need general battle awareness not to lose track of your foes.

Finally, when encountering a powerful enemy, the ARC Trooper can even the odds with his Shock Trap. It’s a throwable device is manually detonated and delivers an electrical current that knocks down any enemies within its range. This is useful for both flanking larger groups of enemies and for tipping the scale in favor for you and your allies, including if you need a tactical retreat.

Overall, the ARC Trooper makes an excellent addition to the clone army. It is a very strategic unit and has the best results when played in such a way. Flank your enemies and support your troops for the best results.

The BX droid is arguably one of the most lethal units in the Separatist Army. Armed with a modified E-5 Blaster Rifle, commonly used by B1 Battle Droids, the BX trades rate of fire for higher precision in long-range encounters.

With the modified blaster covering the BX at longer ranges, it also wields a vibrosword to get the edge it needs to excel in close-quarters combat. Using either the melee button or the Sinister Strikes ability (both have the same function), the BX Droid can unleash up to three sword strikes in a row before requiring a brief cooldown. While the strikes don’t deal much more damage than a regular trooper’s melee, they are significantly faster and the final strike is so powerful it will knock an enemy to the ground.

The BX can also deploy a Smoke Screen by throwing a smoke bomb at its feet. The surrounding area will immediately be filled with very dense smoke that even removes basic UI elements like name tags and outlines, so the enemy view is blocked.

Additionally, you can pair the Smoke Screen with its final ability, Thermal Vision, for a devastating result. It makes the BX’s eyes glow red and allows it to see where enemies are located, including through walls and other obstructions. This ability also scrambles enemy scanners to further confuse and disorient them.

This set of abilities, combined with a higher than normal sprint speed, makes the BX a lethal opponent both before you see it and if you don’t take it out before it closes the distance.

All five Star Cards are shared between both units.

Effect: You have +1 Combat Roll and faster Combat Roll recharge times.

Effect: Reduces ability recharge times when damage is dealt to you.

    Name: Interrogation
Effect: Forcefully reveal nearby enemy locations by defeating an opponent using melee strikes.
    Level Unlock: 5

Effect: Enemies dealing damage to you will be temporarily marked for easier retaliation.

    Name: Stalker
Effect: Regain health when defeating an enemy you have revealed with HELMET SCANNER or THERMAL VISION.
    Level Unlock: 10

These two new reinforcements will deploy alongside the new game mode this month. The next Community Transmission will detail the mode fully, including what it’s called and what your objectives will be within it. The update is slated for release on the 26th of March. Additionally, the Infiltrator class is available without any credit costs for all players.

Well, at least now you know how the PT fans felt when DICE announced Battlefront 2015 would be all OT, and again when BF2 released with just Yoda and Maul from the PT for both heroes and hero ships, lol.

No problems with PT. Sick to death of boring, clone wars cartoon content.

Which is? All the clone skins are form the movies, you do know this right?

    Maybe a couple

Only between 19 BBY and 4 BBY, by 4 BBY almost all of them had been decommissioned due to their age (they were genetically engineered with accelerated aging) and the few that were left trained Stormtrooper recruits mainly. The Stormtroopers we know from the original trilogy, the ones with the terrible aim that can't hit the broad side of a barn, were all enlisted recruits.
