  • I think Luke, Anakin, Vader, Kylo, Maul, and Dooku are the real winners here. All their cards have no penalties for using them (unlike Yoda’s) and seem consistently reliable. Depending on what the limit is for Luke’s card, he could be seriously OP. Oh, and Obi-Wan basically gained infinite defensive stamina with this change (if you use the new card with his increased stamina card, which adds to his already high stamina pool).
    I am not complaining though, and I am looking forward to seeing how all these changes will play out!
    Add more Extraction and SA maps please!

    Over the last few months we’ve made a number of changes to Star Cards, whether it’s a tweak here and there or it’s adding health on kill to all heroes. There’s one bit of feedback that we’ve heard from you though, and that revolves around the health on kill cards, and that you would like to see them become passive.

    @F8RGE this update is a disgrace.

    Give heroes health regeneration without any star card? = Heroes more OP. Are you serious? These are your improvements for this game?

    I only hope the new Call of Duty be launched and good bye DICE/EA forever.

    This change is wanted by a large slice of the community, besides HoK was already mandatory, forcing you to play with 2 star cards, it was about time they made it passive, op heroes or not when something is so meta you must use it, something needs to change.
  • @F8RGE Vader new card seem pretty useless, for him would be better a card with some damage reduction effect.
    Grievous one seem cool but I don't understand perfectly how it work

    Agree and good observation.

    As a side note I’d now like to petition that Galactic Assault be renamed to Nerfed vs Heroes.

  • Hmm, I'm not sure on the new card for Palpatine. Doesn't really help in HvV and he's already one of the best choices for GA. Would have loved for him to get a temporary force block to stop the ragdolling in HvV.

    So now we will have some SUPER heroes in GA/CS. Let's see how the changes are in action...I can already see nerf x/y/z threads after release. Oh well :D

    Everyone has their own preferences and play styles, but I think this card will be highly useful. Fortunately, @Paulie_Gualtieri gave the devs this idea.

    Probably going to be the same as it is now and I dont think it will vary on character.

    Should have removed the health increase in it's entirety and introduced the new cards. Or only provide passive health increase if you defeat other heroes, not regular troopers.
  • A bump to regular units is much anticipated. Once a player ranks up to a certain level (such as 50, 100, etc.) their base health, regeneration time, etc., should be increased. Think of it as battle hardening those committed enough to reach such a high level. Like if you agree!

  • Shouldn’t the title be Hero Star Card Changes? There’s nothing about card changes for troopers or pilots here.
    How about unlocking the card restrictions within the classes for troopers? Is there a reason I can’t use the Specialist SG and SP cards together?
    Should I just give up on playing as a trooper or a pilot and just play as heroes or play HvV the entire game?

    Because he doesn't have a HoK card since he can regen full health by default. They were replacing HoK cards with new cards in order to make these. Not sure why Boskk can't just have an extra card compared to the others, but it's whatever.

    Dice months back said that they didn't design the game to allow adding more star cards....that's why we constantly get one star card changed for a new one instead of adding another card.

    Bossk is going to awful now that he doesn't get a new and improved star card and everybody gets practically the same healing ability that bossk only use to get. Bossk needs gas grenade to be replaced with super speed or super leap and he needs to be able to rapid fire relby when not scoped in.

    Glad to see HOK cards, but DICE you could have fixed more hero abilities and bugs and changed some hero abilities out or improved them all to balance the game out more.

    Here are my suggestions:
    1. Bossk needs gas grenade to become preferably super speed(otherwise super leap). Also allow relby to rapid fire when not scoped in.
    2. Boba needs reduction in rocket damage, but increase in blaster accuracy and damage. Boba needs to either blind enemy with missile and deactivate weapon, or the concussion missile needs to do more damage.
    3. Leia needs to be able to deactivate shield or switch out shield for another ability with a new star card that replaces a useless star card.
    4. Finn needs to be able to switch at will with a fourth ability between pistol and rifle. Undercover boss gives different ability, I think that fast sprint should be the new ability. It could help him to get away from sith lords. Shouldn't be to much of a problem for most sith lords because they can move so quickly already. Finn needs to be able to move normally with big deal.
    5. Lando needs smoke that lasts much longer without star cards and is much bigger in size or it should be a gas cloud too.
    6. Remove lando and chewy stun immunity. Also remove Iden and Phasma stun immunity, so you can work together. Force powers can already chain together right now. Blaster heroes shouldn't be prevented from working together.
    7. Chewy needs faster ground slam time if he jumps in the air.....it should be immediate and force powers shouldn't affect him. However, if he is running then force powers should affect him. I'd rather chewy focus fire bring it into one single shot that could hit people much farther away if they are hit directly it will do a lot of damage and it will do slight splash damage if hits close to them.
    8. Dooku needs all the problems fixed with his lightsaber attacks. He is missing constantly on the first swing and people laying on the ground from being knocked over. Dooku also needs a farther dodge for all dodges either when duelist is activated or at all times.
    9. Grievous needs ton of bug fixes and he also needs to move faster forward when doing unrelenting advance like at launch; otherwise he needs more stamina to block blaster fire for just slightly longer. I feel like you get hit with 8 shots and it breaks his block and you have to keep jumping around as him. Then you go to unrelenting advance and your so slow to hit anyone they can all just roll out of the way.
    10. Kylo needs frenzy attack bug fixes that launch him into the air. Kylo also needs slightly faster attack animation....seems like the standard attack is super slow now and he isn't able to chain attacks quickly like he use to be able to do.
    11. Anakin should get decrease animation time for passionate strike in exchange you should be able to hit Anakin during part of his dodge. Right now I don't think that any force powers can hit anakin during any part of his dodge.
    12. Han only needs to be able to more around normally with rapid fire
    13. Phasma needs damage buff to blaster.
    14. Iden needs another ability besides pulse cannon. It's practically never used anymore in any game mode.
    15. Obiwan needs damage buff and dodge fix, which they are already working on doing.
    16. Yoda needs an additional attack animation decrease IN EXCHANGE for removing attacking through peoples block with dash. it's hard for yoda to connect to sith lords in HvV with standard attack.
    17. Rey I think is fine right now if you use the right star cards in both GA & HvV. Open to suggestions though.
    18. Luke is fine too.
    19. Vader is fine.
    20. Maul is fine.

    So Boba's abilities cool down more quickly, thus making them available more quickly? Are on of the Dev team a Boba main cause his abilit9is just keep going through the roof? I only say that as his supposed trade off of a 1.5 second delay in health regeneration is nothing when you consider he will be flying away out of range, and most likely to part of the map no other character can reach or attack him, and he only gets a 1.5 second penalty? Sorry but that is just plain daft.

    To me, you are just ensuring you will get more complaints about Boba when this goes live.

    Imagine Numpteez or taveq spamming their abilities at the last phase of Endor at the spawn exit points of Empire with Luke.

    Absolutely not that's the intended trade off, if that was the case there would be no chance to punish for bad positioning and ability usage

    LAUGHABLE his blaster is only good for sniping or picking off unsuspecting midrange players. Gas is a joke of an ability that just causes people to move and then come right back to where they were. It's like chasing pigeons off the grass in a park, they just come right back practically unaffected. Bossk overly relies on two of his abilities microgrenades and grenade launchers to get kills. It's laughably easy to kill bossk as most jedi characters in both CS and HvV.

    Just use Anakin to force pull him to where to want him and then chain all the other abilities to kill him without rebuttal. Or force absorb all his damage and dish it back to him to follow up with retribution or a quick saber attack to the face. Obiwan can just mind trick him to prevent him from doing most abilities and prevent him from rolling, so all you see regularly is him jumping around in the hopes he will make it out alive. Yoda has more difficulty trying to get him know since yoda can't force absorb a lot of bossks attacks like he use to be able to do. A competent chewy player can easily stomp bossk. All he has to do is get close enough and it's game over for Bossk because even chewy gets a slight sprint ability to close the gap or get away from enemies. With all these star card additions Bossk won't stand a chance. He was borderline okay presently and everyone got a mega buff but him because all players get an extra ability.


    Bossk was much more formidable in battlefront 1..... it'd be nice if he went partially back to that same level of greatness.
