Vehicles are too OP and unbalanced vs heroes

  • Force powers should work against speeder bikes. Other than that there have been enough nerfs to both armor and star fighters.

Serious question. Are you hero mains around your teammates when getting killed by speeders or are you guys running around the maps solo? I play the heroes as a support for troopers to protect them against enemy troopers and enemy heroes so I stay somewhat relatively close to my teammates and help push or defend objectives to win. (I know I’m on a good team when I have teammates who hunt vehicles.) I’m not running around the maps solo concerned about kill streaks or running into spawn areas to farm cheap kills as I see many hero players do. Not all heroes do this but it happens often enough.
Now with the upcoming changes to hero cards they’ll be the most powerful they’ve ever been. Not a surprise as this game is designed by hero players for hero players.

You can protect your teammates from enemy players by pushing up & keeping them in the spawn screen

Really just speeders need to be changed ASAP. It makes sense for the large vehicles to do massive damage to heroes.

Currently it is EXTREMELY easy to take out any lightsaber hero (played by even the best players) with the speeder bike type vehicles, and blaster heroes are only a bit more difficult to kill.

^ speeders are the most unbalanced vehicle right now at the very least needs a major price increase.

My move? Okay, heroes cost 4,000 battle points and infantry costs 0 battle points, for this reason it makes sense that heroes are substantially more powerful than infantry. Vehicles such as tanks are a unit that costs 1000-2000 battle points, half the price or less than that of heroes. Despite this, the unit that costs 4,000 battle points stands virtually no chance against a unit that costs 1000-2000 battle points. The most expensive unit in the game shouldn't be completely outclassed by a unit that costs half as much as it does or less.

    Indeed.

Vehicles are too OP and unbalanced vs heroes. As you can see in some videos and in the majors of players opinions.
Especially saber heroes can't do almost nothing against them. Solutions:

    - 1) Remove or decrease drastically the damage when a vehicle touch a hero. AT-ST, AAT etc can melt a hero only touching him, in this way saber heroes can't attack them and is not fair.

    - 2) Make saber swings more easy to land on speeders and increase the damage. Actually you need 4/5 swings to destroy a STAP and you need to jump to hit it, good speeder players just use the speed to stay away from you and is impossible kill them (and escape if they want chase you).

    - 3) Force powers should affect vehicles better and more. Luke Push should damage AT-ST, and should bring down players from speeders, same for Kylo's and Anakin's pulls etc..
Vader saber throw, Dooku lightning etc should one shot players on speeders.

It isn't a secondary thing because often this state create frustrating situations, like players in vehicles chasing heroes for all the map and the duration of the game.

    Are you serious??

    Read above boy

Oh i did "boy" and again i ask..are you serious?..sound pretty stupid

What? That a 4000 battlepoints unit should have better ways to defend himself from another 150 battlepoints unit? What is stup1d is have invincible vehicles against a specific class.

If you stay around your infantry team mates they should be able to shoot the stap.

Not really...if you follow your logic then A heavy with ion torpedo or a specialist with NT-242 with ion shots kill a tank and cost 0.

You are just comparing things that are not comparable.
  • Anyone else know you can use the Officers HS against all ground speeders even on Crait? HS also works on the AT-RT. Just saying if anyone is looking to help your hero teammates by killing some speeder drivers.

If you’re playing as a hero then maybe leave the vehicles to be destroyed by troopers. If you have enough teammates who like destroying vehicles then you’ll be ok if you play smart and work as a team. Protect those troopers targeting vehicles, when you can, and you’ll live longer. Otherwise have fun getting wrecked by a 150 bp item that they could have killed with 2 shots from an ION torpedo.

A famous hero once said “Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side kid.”

Finally, why the need for troopers to counter vehicles if heroes can just kill everything in the game with a few swings of a lightsaber? To be cannon fodder for heroes? No thanks.
Please EA, for all that’s good and right add more maps to Extraction.

Lmfao they are freakin VEHICLES,the only thing you said that made sense was that force powers should work on vehicles which i totally agree things like lightning and push or something should damage vehicles a bit but to say decrease the damage drastically when hit by a tank and make it easier to hit SPEEDERS is rreeally dumb.Jedi/sith aren't superman they can't just shrug off a tank hit. What really got me was the whole "people on speeders just use the speed to stay away and makes them impossible to kill"...really?..

The problem isn't that they are OP, it's that their BP costs are beyond dirt cheap. When vehicles cost less than weakest enhanced troops you know the BP cost system is completely unbalanced.
    - All speederbike types should be 1000 and their health should be nerfed to 300-350.
    - AT-RT/AT-ST should be 1500-2000
    - Tanks should be 2500.
    - Fighters should be 3000.

    @F8RGE

Loool, you are talking about x3 for the cost

At this price they will be no longer used.
I will never pay this price for a tanks that could be destroyed by infantry easily

In GA in certain maps they are north of 2000 I’m pretty sure, and they still get used? Geonosis have 2000+ tank and the chicken walker is 2k on another map
  • People are tired of being brainless farm pawns from hero’s. Instead of getting better and working as a collective unit they need the vehicles as a crutch from the “unstoppable hero lords”. No one wants to take away your star destroyer speeder, or nuke missle from the walker, just up the price. If y’all think the officer point gain is bad the vehicles are worse

Use an Ariel or enforcer, it’s not rocket science

Agreed. This is why im baffled because the infantry units are suppose to be the ones handling the vehicles since they are the ones with rocket launchers and turrets and whatnot which they do as every GA game i play the minute vehicles start rollin out theirs rockets flying all over the place and turrets being set.And honestly how does a hero die to a vehicle in the first place?? I mean i get it if you get caught in orbital strike or starfighters are literally hunting you down(im not even gonna lie it happens to me a bit) but to die to a tank or speeder means you are not paying attention to whats going on around you AT ALL
  • If Jango could 1 shot a Jedi off a ledge and other jedi be decapitated or die to a single lightsaber stab or several clone trooper shots to the chest, then several blasts from vehicle cannons that are much more powerful should be able to give the hero and villian characters in this game enough of a threat to avoid getting in the line of fire of the vehicles. Play smarter not harder.

"avoid line of fire" "play smarter"

how does one avoid the line of fire of a vehicle with the best mobility of anything in the game on land? how does one play smarter when I couldn't even hear the speeder coming or react in time to deal with it cause I basically died instantly? I was playing smart that game by sticking to my teammates but it didn't matter because speeders are overpowered so playing smart dont matter.

Situational awareness is key. I love going after vehicles as heavy and as heroes. It's rare I die by a vehicle as I am always looking around and as soon as I see one I put objects between me and it and either flank it to take it out or move to another area of the battlefield that the vehicle had trouble following me to. It's takes several hits to down a hero. I love going after the hero players with vehicles. The ones that are hard to kill dodge, jump, put stuff behind them and me and also flank me. If you have trouble with vehicles as a hero, play more heavy with a anti vehicle setup and you will learn how to avoid their fire and start being a pain for them to deal with you.
  • This weekend is the best time to use a vehicle. I love hu but on a map like tattooine or kashyyyk, vehicles are extra fun to use.
  • The rebels should have ran over the Death Star with an AAT
