I need some tips

Hey guys 😊
I need serious tips here i started playing this game rather late and i feel i am in trouble because i get killed by guys with purple cards mostly and i don’t know how to progress, since most of my heroes hardly have any cards.
So i need some help on what to do?
Best whishes

Pick one on each side, learn how they work and grind away to catch up.

You need to use points you earn with a hero on the same hero, ie get a point with Maul, you need to spend it on maul.

Once you learn how to use a hero, you'll see that someone having purple cards has nothing to do with their skill.

It only means they grinded away, and some are nearly 2 years in.

  • Yeah most have played this game for years as you say well thanks mate now i have to grind away and try to maybe pick one hero at the time and kevel them up, and see if i can get my oen skill up
    😊
  • If it's for leveling up a hero in HvV, you MUST stick with the team.. Don't run off on your own. See who they attack and join in. If you have friends, go in as a pre-made team and all stock together.

Actually, paying with friends is the best way.

Getting used to the maps will help too. Figuring out the routes people mostly take will get you ready for attack spots.

  • Everything the guys have said above is spot in.
In HvV, def stay with the team. Grind away to get the skill points, the thing I realised after a while is to hang on to points to get the cards you really want. So for instance, if there’s a card that’ll means you cause more damage on a lightsaber strike, but you’ve got to be lvl12 to get it, hang onto points and get it when you get there.
Go for objectives as well, lots of points to be had. You’ll see a lot of players not doing the objectives and not getting many points. Also some characters get more points on certain games, I personally found the specialist was a beast in the extraction game using the shield.
    Always happy to help.

I would recommend playing hvv or hero showdown to lvl up your heroes, and yes it isnt going to be an easy ride to the top but keep at it matey.

Make sure you stay with your team in hvv and hero combat is quite janky atm but I would say use your doged efficiently and try to get behind your opponent at all times. Good luck 👍

A few things that helped me at the very begginig.

Play the arcade challenges. They will show you the basics of the heroes and troopers and you will know layouts for parts of the maps. I guarantee that you will be in gunfights in those same areas. You can also test starcards in custom arcade.

Try sticking to your teammates, stay close to groups of players. They will help if they can.

    For troopers the following:

The best class that worked for me at the start was the Heavy. They have more heath, wicked strong explosives and can hit even on medium to long range. They aren't as fast but since you're starting of... what's the hurry? Stay back let the more experienced guys go first.

Try out blast, strike and extraction. They will teach you basic infantry more than anything and some objective play.

You will die a lot. It's that type of game. Suitability is rather low.

Trying to get behind someone when they block and instantly striking them isn’t so easy when you come across a defensive player.

Yes true but atm its the only counter to turtles other than anikins passionate strike. Getting behind the enemy by spacing yourself well to dash through the player is the most effective way of dishing out damage, this is difficult to do but once mastered you are a force to be reckoned with
  • I’m a pretty average player who has shining moments, If I can complete all the challenges etc, anyone can. The two hardest (that I found) were Bobas 3 kills with his rockets and Lukes 4 person push. Both are very situational.
The very best advice I have is to learn every inch of the maps, this gives you a very big advantage over even the best players, someone mentioned above about playing in arcade, you can learn the maps in there.
  • I can find myself facing Lukes that are lvl 171 and Anakins lvl 50+ a etc it makes my struggle a bit hard, but i do not give up i am actually more succesful on my xbox1 than PC 😂
But like i daid many of my heroes and villains are lvl1 except Darth Vader he is the highest of all at lvl7 then some are 1-5 my assault class is at lvl10 👊
  • I mean it should be more balanced HvV rounds

Well, it seems like you already got quite a lot of helpful advice here but, one thing I might add is that one YouTuber I found helpful when starting out in BF2 was SammyBoiii (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSPQm9mp7Su6ME8syg-RkRg) - his hero and class guides are pretty good introductory materials in my opinion (I especially like that he actually lists the numerical values for health, damage output, etc. for each of those guides). Best of luck!

On a final note, if you’re ever in need of another HvV player for your hero level grinding or the like, I’m currently am looking around for a group/squad to play with - I’m on PS4 though (also Werowe4).
  • Yes lots of good stuff so i am grinding heroes villains, classes
Some class is lvl10 but seems i forgot to lvl up statships lol 😊

I haven’t bothered too much with leveling the starships and not at all with the hero starships. I just find it takes too long to get enough players in SA to get a match going, so after a while, I took a hiatus from the mode.
