Spot the Hero Mains!

Prev1
I think it’s kinda hilarious how I can tell which players are not used to playing as troopers. This one Specialist walked up to me, activated infiltration, stared at me, and then ran away.
Heroes are born on the battlefront... especially if you play the objective.

  • The easiest way to tell is to invite them to a game of Extraction and see how well they do there.
  • I’ve also noticed that matches go a lot quicker with no heroes or vehicles to make things messy.

Yep. Longest CS has been about 25 min out of 5.

I don't think that player would be a hero main. One needs a minimum amount of skill to even get the points for a hero. Certainly if one wants to be a hero often.

But I think it is great event so far. No heroes is a good break for a weekend.

Getting 4000 bp is not hard to do.

No it isn't but you need to beat someone else to it and that guy didn't sound like he could even get 4000 points.

I think the hero mains are more likely on here complaining about the event.

If they made cs permanently like this, I would not complain. Removing heroes from cs would really lower the amount hero-speeder complaints.
  • So if im getting reliably 10+ killstreaks on each trooper class but use my points in CS only for Heroes what am i according to your logic?
And no i dont count AI kills as part of my streaks.

Is trooperlord just a term for trashcans that can't even get 4k BP for a hero? They should just return the prices to 6k or 8k so these players would never get a hero again.

Explain the salt. What I'm saying is my most straightforward point of view

    This

    is Anakin Skywalker. . .

The most powerful Jedi of his generation. Perhaps of any generation. The fastest. The strongest.

He is the best there is. . .

The best there has ever been. . .

    And he knows it.

    You mean hero lord?

Hero lords can't get heroes? What exactly is this term then? Sounds counter intuitive now

Nope, trooperlords are those that don't need a hero to get kills/win. Unlike you.

So you're definitely not a trooperlord. What do you call people who play for the other team like you?

This community I swear lol. Hero lords, trooper lords, reinforcement lords whatever just play the game.

Well before I read about Lords, I thought everyone on all sides of teams were pushing to get 8k/6k/4k BP as fast as possible to get the advantage and break/lock objectives and win the game. Is winning the point to most people?

I agree with you here. Name calling really is not productive. It seems name calling is confusing as well.

Settle it on the battlefield! Or justl play and have fun.
  • I actually thought this post was going to be something else. Many I have played with want me to call out where enemy heroes are currently located. There should be a quick chat response for that somehow..........like Anakin......incoming....C

And you think that guy you are referring to here is a “hero main”???

You do realize it takes points, mainly achieved with the use of troopers, to get a hero in the first place. And if they are good enough to “main” as a hero, then I would be fairly confident they didn’t just “activate infiltration, look at you and then run away”.

If you want to identify “hero mains” look at the top of the scoreboard. Not talking about the kill column, talking about the scoreboard. They will likely be somewhere in the to 3 or so on their team or even overall.

You do realise bah Bah, bah bah... You know how many points you earn as an officer buffing and capping points? Not really challenging gameplay...

    *reflects on previous rankings*

*realizes I place in the top 5 quite a bit*

Could be the fact you called trooper lords trashcans yet struggle to play a weekend event with all troopers. Hero mains should be first in line if it’s so easy to farm trashcans.

    "yet struggle to play"

Either you're an *****, or a troll for that thin air assumption. I was playing GA all yesterday and it was a fun twist to the game. Keep being vacuous however

Not even to mention that I asked if that was a term for trashcans. Another flagrant mistake on your end. Even more amusing that I want to campaign for a small arms troopers only 2v2 or 4v4, in which 1v1s could take place as well, and the "community" response is somewhat negative

    I love blast

    Meh, you're likely overthinking it.

Well it's mainly just a drawn out version of the first 5 minutes of every GA game. So you always could see who was the best killer and who used officer to get to heroes quick and then ended up around the top of the leaderboard because of it. Just that now with this event, because it is an entire games worth of that first 5 mins of a normal GA, it is very amplified as to who the best killers are and who are the players that rely on officer points to get a hero, and then proceed to get their kills.
  • You lost me somewhere with the exquisite verbiage, no idea what you’re talking about. So you’re saying you liked GA yesterday as a trooper mode because it had a fun twist, or am I interpreting it wrong?

Not all herolords are officer mains. I'm a so-called "herolord" but I main Assault and Heavy.

Wow that's so wonderful for you. Where did I ever say anything bad about assault players being herolords? I specifically mentioned the officer guys that obviously aren't too good with troopers and then use the points advantage to get a hero.

But don't get me wrong. I'd tire of it quickly, like I said. I may have quit with my GA friends back when that "Solo DLC" was released, if it wasn't for Heroes. I was 70 on Specialist first, Officer next, 50 on Assault, 20 Heavy, and not a single new blaster or card selection was added between launch and now?

Tell me why I should play more than a weekend of a mode where I was maxed within a few months w no additional content, especially when I can get the same effect, or better, from 'Halo', 'Apex', 'CoD MW', 'Rainbow 6 Seige', etc

That. is why I play HvV and HSD on this game, jump back into GA and CS and get bored. Maybe if there were more than four guns, I'd be back. With heroes so tediously easy to get, the only thing to do on those modes is killstreak or hero hunt.

No. I'm saying exactly what I said. I never said only officer mains can be herolords. Any class can be a herolord and also be a trooperlord. However it's usually the officer class that exploit the easy battle points because they aren't very good at troopers and then get heroes that way, and are therefore solely herolords and not a cross between the two when that happens. Heavy class (or even any class really) with ion cannon objectives can also be classed as scrubby play to get heroes quick, only if those people are known to not be very good trooper players and only really ever are able to get a hero at the beginning that way. It's not the same type of scrub as officers though because I'd hardly class ion cannon use as scrubby play. But it's hovering in the same category. Only if they very frequently do that particular thing and then can't seem to get heroes on other non ion cannon maps.
