Hello there,

We have a small patch arriving this week which aims to address several issues that appeared after last week’s Another Night on Endor Update.

The primary fix focuses around an issue that was causing consoles to run out of memory and subsequently result in a game crash. We also have a fix for an issue that was causing servers to crash while playing Co-Op.

We understand that both of these crashes were frustrating and we thank you for your patience while we worked to get a patch released.

Within the patch we also have a number of issues that have been fixed, mostly relating to Co-Op.

As always, we thank you for your feedback and look forward to seeing you on the battlefront.

The Star Wars Battlefront II team

What about the EoR bug on PC?
  • Since we’re on the subject of co-op with his patch, how about addressing how overtuned the AI is or maybe just bad map design the last capture points are. The ones that stick out are Kamino and Naboo.
When are we getting out of the clone era and into Empire v Rebels and 1st Order v Rebels for co-op?

Nice 👍 now what about the broken Queue system? I’m on PS4 & we can’t join active games or friends any more. Is this a console exclusive bug?

Nope its not exclusive, its on all formats.
  • is double XP being extended
  • Will this parch fix error CE-34878-0 on ps4?
  • And it will release on General Grevious’ 1 year anniversary
  • Luckily the crash only happened between games so it wasn't too frustrating

What about Co-Op's spawn timer? Is that back to what it was before or gone altogether, or are we still stuck having to wait 12 seconds, which almost always screams "game over" for the players' side?

    great minds think alike

I personally would like to see rebel vs empire and first order vs resistance in capital supremacy. Maybe an option to choose which era you want to play in would be helpful.
  • Will this update fix the constant error CE-34878-0 on PS4?
  • How about also considering reducing the respawn time?
  • Funny how fast they fixed the out of map on ewok hunts new map.

This is a HUGE issue. If it was 6 seconds it would save many games. But waiting and waiting to respawn is a match killer. It's so long I could grab a snack and come back.

Yes this needs to be addressed, it can impact game play at critical times.

  • Hopefully the PC crashing will be fixed too. It's been here since August (for me at least)
  • How about AI fixes? At least on PS4 in Co-Op the AI units can shoot even while rolling or being thrown or knocked down.
AI in co-op does totally unreal things and it's very annoying.
  • Oh and in Co-Op the spawning time should be reduced significantly!!! AI is super strong, so I wait 20 seconds to spawn, then I run up to the objective for a couple of more, just to get killed within 3 seconds. Then I wait again, run again, and play 3 seconds.
The net playing time in co-op is very low due to the long respawn times... as we're playing against AI it should be a very quick respawn.

Yeah what's up with the broken queue system?
"We're sorry, the game you are trying to join is full. Please wait or join a different game. Error code: 2,741"
  • Still hoping for Vehicles to be added to IA and Co-Op. Any news on when this is coming.
  • Did you miss one?

    Release Notes
    • Fixed a brain fart and reverted Flash Grenade and Stinger Pistol to their pre ANoE update states.

  • So, are the crashes fixed now?

Just don't die if you don't want to deal with the spawn timer
ezkfs3399nkr.jpg This isn't mine, Just thought it was cool

Rule 39: Never say no to Bacta

When you have been playing since launch Cool kid 8)

I want to make a squad of 4 Commandos and then scream "FORM UP DELTA SQUAD"

We need Delta Squad Commando skins.
  • So what new bugs are being introduced with this untested patch?
  • This is cool that that mode got fixed but please for the love of Star Wars and making this game the best that it can be FIX THE MATCHMAKING. Every single person who plays this game agrees that they always get the same maps over and over again (especially on Galactic Assault and Strike/Extraction). This makes the game extremely boring for people who want to play this game a lot, even for players that come back after days/weeks just to come back to the same old maps they've been playing since day 1. There are 11 maps in Galactic Assault there is no reason why I should only be seeing 4 maps when I've had this game for over a year. This is also a problem on all Dice games. If this problem is not fixed your games are going to continue to have bad reputations. Please fix beacause this game has had a lot of hard work put into it and people's hard work need to be seen on more than just 4 maps.
  • Now all you need to do is fix HvV...

Any AI vehicles and AI droidekas arriving to Co-op this patch?

A dataminer found out that cross era heroes, AI friendly heroes and both friendly and enemy AI vehicles are coming to the game soon!
Video games, music and movies for life!
  • Still no fix to the TWO YEAR long bug in offline Arcade Team Battle where anytime you play 2 vs 2 or 4 vs 4 the friendly A.I. will only spawn and respawn as Assault Class Troopers.

No fix to the 6+ month ongoing issues to the Specialist repulsor cannon in offline Arcade. It just will not work.

No fix to the ongoing issue in offline Arcade where A.I. are respawning out of bounds on Jakku.

This game has become a complete joke. Dice is incapable of fixing issues and we can not go one update without getting new bugs in the game. I suggest all of you think long and hard before you spend your hard earned money on any future Star Wars titles until this is all cleaned up.

The worst part is EA/Dice planned to continually charge us for content for a broken game until common sense kicked in. This has been the worst gaming experience of my life.

Enough is enough. We need a patch that only focuses on fixing offline Arcade bugs. If you can't do that then refund us our money.
  • No fix for Palpatine?!? While using “In full control” star card his chain lighting is completely unblockable. Is dice aware of this bug?

  • Has anyone else noticed any stuttering/lag/low fps since the update?

I haven't been able to play yet, does the update actually fix the crashes?

Credit given where credit is due, this is the kind of patch updates we expect from time to time, together with the usual monthly content and balancing patches we've been having since launch.

Thanks for doing that more oftenly.
    Tired of BUGs?

    Well, they'll still exist.
But visit the Rogue Bros Channel, there we document many BUGs and possible workarounds for them. There's also gameplay and other videos related to EA's Star Wars Battlefront (I & II)
  • Fixed to a degree. Haven't crashed yet but kept on getting kicked, with terrible lag issues, especially in the bigger modes. Even single player seems to be effected. Replayed campaign for the milestones and it was stuttering really badly, plus that bug in the rebel hangar where your TIE fighter takes damage for no reason before exploding is still there. The workaround is to alter the difficulty. Hopefully this will all be fixed before weekend.
  • Playing on PC and it still gives me the endless loading for Co-op and Instant Action! D:
Could play both modes before the Oct update... but Now...
Instant Action is endless loading screen and I can play two games in Co-op, then it does endless loading (Never ends, I've waited over 5mins!) for the 3rd game, if it's not Kashyyyk or Felucia. (Endless loading for those two maps)
Since this hot patch, Now I can't do any Clone side Co-op and still no Instant Action. It's worse now :(
  • Still crashing, just not as often.
  • I'm glad that you fixed it so fast. I haven't played for while.
