I haven't played it, but I have a lot of friends on Xbox who play it regularly. They like it, and what clips they've recorded legitimately have me interested in the game myself.

It is heavy on the online mp side with limited solo content with 10 training missions and a terrorist hunt mode.

All dlc maps and modes free.

New dlc specialists need to be purchased with either real money for in game currency or a very high amount of in game experience credits. So, you don't need to fork out cash to get them...it just takes a lot longer without spending the $.

If you are into unlimited respawning (COD/BF) then this is not the game. If you die...no respawn unless medic on team. Matches go very quick...and can be a mixed bag depending if your team mates want to screw around or play the objective.

Game play is very cool with destructible environments and ability assault building from the roof and through windows with rappel function.

    Overall, I like it...

    Not a prob...

Initially, I was unsure even though I love R6. So, I rented it...and got hooked.

Only wish more solo content. But the dynamic gameplay and numerous gadgets of specialists really appeal to me.

Medics are never useful. When you go down, people will shoot you again to kill you and prevent revives.
  • R6 or Uncharted 4?

DO NOT BUY RAINBOW SIX SIEGE. I WARN YOU NOW. The game is a mess, horrible servers, awful hit detection, peer to peer connection, no host changing when host leaves, dwindling community, teamkillers, hackers on PC. Hold off on Rainbow Six Siege for a couple of months until all the issues are fixed. I bought the game at half price and I still feel like I wasted 30 dollars. Such a shame because it had a lot of potential.

Go with Uncharted 4. Definitely a fun game to invest in.

I did. I bought UC4 two days ago. Thanks for the heads up

    @N3gativePrime I have them both, and I don't regret a thing.

Can't wait to see the new content later today when I get home from work!

It looks like a great update
  • I love Rainbow Six Siege. If you like games like that go ahead and get it. Server issues have been minimal for me since they released a patch a few months back. I enjoy playing, but it can be frustrating when you find a match with a team-killer.
Also, notice the patch, it actually fixed the issue! If only Battlefront could do that...
Couldn't resist the chance to take a shot at Battlefront, but it's true!

I'll go try it out again today since I haven't played it for a couple of days. I hope a lot of the issues I encountered (on PS4) are gone. I hope the long wait times for Terrorist Hunt and the blatantly impossible clipping kills through like 3 layers of walls are done with.

Don't know about that last thing and I play on an Xbox but I've experienced little issues with the serves since the patch (which came out for all platforms)

I love Siege despite the fact that I'm terrible at it. It's a good game to switch off with Battlefront because they're two totally different styles of play. Would recommend 10/10

    Amen.

My crew played the new content last night... the updates they've made to the game have been a welcome sight!

P.S. - The new Dust Line map 'Border'... is AWESOME!

It could have been a great game but the net code is horrible. The community is horrible......lots of team killing. If you are playing by yourself and the last man standing against 3 other players you get voted off the match because you couldnt run the table on 3 on 1. There are a lot of glitchy exploits to give you the advantage. I have been having a much better time playing battlefront lately and cant wait for bf 1.

Thankfully I have plenty of friends who still play, so I don't have to worry about random scrubs ruining all of the fun.

  • Never had these problems more than a few times. You must be really unlucky to get this so very often, or are exaggerating, but you will encounter players like this everywhere.

No you don't. I've played other games with friendly fire including COD which has friendly fire modes but I don't get intentionally teamkilled nearly as much as I do in Rainbow Six Siege. Also games of the sort also punish teamkillers quickly and rapidly whereas I can literally murder my entire team and ruin the game without any punishment. His experience of Rainbow Six Siege sounds exactly like mines and I've been to fourms were a lot of people also have had the same experience. I wouldn't mind the teamkilling as much if it didn't take so long to get back into the game. The wait times are ridiculous at times and it still ***** me off that a game has a peer to peer connection system with no dedicated servers. The worst part of that is that the game automatically ends if the host leaves or lags out. How can you have a peer to peer connection system without even having host migration?

I think it's a case of you being lucky or blatantly ignoring all the issues with the game.

The only few good points about the game is that the new maps and modes released post launch are free and the operators are somewhat free. The gameplay when you aren't experiencing ridiculous kills, glitches or exploits is really good for a game of it's type.

  • Sorry but, my host has never lost connection. And I've only encountered a teamkiller twice.
Of course you're not going to see a team killer as often in Call of Duty it kicks you from the game. Rainbow Six takes points off, because this is the kind of game where that kind of mistake can be made more often and can instantly kill a teammate. My longest wait time for a game was five minutes, before the patch, now it never takes longer than 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Also, character requirement is kind of silly (5 characters Min.)
