I personally want Ewan Mcgreggor version. I feel like they will be able to do so much more than the old man.

    I want both.

We never really got Ben Kenobi in any of SWBF series unless I am mistaken, so it would be nice to get him. I also want to see Ewan's McGregor's Obi-Wan for sure.

Maybe they just have them use 2 separate skins.
  • Ewan is a must have but both would be cool.

Yes I really think it will be a lot more epic to play the Ewan version.

Ewan would make more sense since he did a lot more than 1 little jabbing contest. But I would like Ben I feel like he'd have awesome force powers

Why want one when you can ask for both ;)

I just want the Ewan version to spawn saying "Hello there", and I'm happy.

  • I mainly want prequel Obi so a Ewan model with his voice acting, would be amazing.

I'd prefer Ep 3 Obi Wan.

  • Ewan for Clone Wars era, Sir Alec for Original Trilogy. Have "Old Ben" play exactly the same, just reskin him with a different character model and give him different dialogue.

Ewan McGregor loves being Obi-Wan. Sir Alec Guinness' estate is a bunch of greedy **** who charge massive amounts to use his likeness, and he didn't even like being Ben Kenobi anyway.

That's not true, he just didn't like that people knew him ONLY as Obi-Wan despite of being in another movies.

I don't see an old man acting the same and moving the same as a 30-40 year old man.

  • It would be both. The movie would show us what happened between Episode III and Episode IV.
  • Obi-Wan over Ben 8 days a week. There's also no way to believably do it by re-skinning. Old Ben couldn't fight at all. Even in Rebels his fighting was terrible with 3 swings of the saber.

What about Lawrence of Arabia? Or Doctor Zhivago?
  • Ewan
this is what we will see
    Sir Alec is dead
    Ewan is a good actor
& his digital BFII character has to be the "Ewan" version

    Ewan McGregor = Obi-Wan Kenobi
    For General Ahsoka Tano!

  • Depends on the era.
  • Depends on the era.

Exactly, I don't get why this is such a problem. We'll get Young Luke for OT and Old Luke for ST, why is it so hard to believe we'll get Young Kenobi for PT and Old Ben for OT?

I wasn't sure that was him in Lawrence of Arabia, never saw Dr Zhivago.

I haven't watched Lawrence of Arabia in over 20 years, and just remember it being endless.

Lawrence of Arabia is such a long film if I remember correctly (I think it may have even been around three and a half hours or something crazy). Haven't watched either one in years though.

SOrry, got distracted. It's because we are talking about Sir Alec Guinness films, and he was the gent who played Ben in the original Star Wars and it's sequels.
