You people just need to chill out. A lot of you are cool, and provide quality, realistic discussion. Then there are some of you who act like this game is their religion. You eat, sleep, and breathe the forums and your life will never be fufilled unless the game has EXACTLY A, B, C, and D implemented in EXACTLY X, Y, and Z ways.

Just be cool. It's just a game. If you don't like the way it's going, then don't spend your money on it. If you spend your money on it, don't complain. And remember that there's always those good old golden games that you talk about so much that modern games just never seem to live up to. Go play those. We'll get along fine without you.

HOWEVER

If you're willing to open your mind to something different, if you're willing to go beyond what you know you like and try something new, you might just discover a new favorite. Heck, you might even like it more than the old games. 95% of you haven't even PLAYED this new game yet, so how can you say its so terrible? New things are good, change is okay.

Just give it a shot.

I'm on the forums way to much but I tend to just look at the reasons why ea would do the things they do then I'm cool with pretty much everything. Although I agree, You are being too harshly about it.

About what you said about liking it more than the old games. Keep in mind you can't beat nostalgia.

You have to come to these forums ready to laugh if you don't want to go crazy. I can't wait for the game to release so the forums turn into more tactics rather than speculation. Minus the obligatory nerf threads.

Brother, that should be the tagline for this whole website.

I really appreciate that this post has (so far) attracted the level-headed crowd willing to see this new game as an opportunity and not a menace to society. Cheers guys.

    Why's that?
  • cuz players are complete D***. all the spawn camping, then no emphasis on fighter combat which was the point of the game to begin with. then its just infantry fighting.

Getting your account shut down seems like a lot of work but alright

Don't know where you are seeing a lot of this abcxy stuff

Sure I have seen a few a complaints that there is no Space Flight. it just seemed like to me people getting disappointed over it not happening voicing it out and than getting over it and passing through

Personally I thought the Footage was amazing and I am incredibly excited. however other people aren't going to be quite as excited, as a feature that was pretty cool and something they were looking forward to didn't come out

Simply leave them be debate with them if you must. they'll get over it or just simply remain saddened in the corner no need to beat them over it simply because they aren't as excited as us

It's definitely not a valid enough reason to warrant leaving in my point of view

And that's coming from me the original complainer about bad discussions

The mode would still be mainly focused on fighter combat since it would be far easier to damage the capital ships from the outside. You would first need to successfully land your ship on the enemy landing bay which would be heavily guarded by turrets and other ships. You would also then have to loctate places to damage the ship and stay alive long enough to succuesfull find the spots and damage them.
  • i'm not sure how many people would participate in a boarding party, especially if its hard as h***. also u gotta worry about trolls crashing the ship or terrible pilots crashing in a hangar deck full of ships, I had this problem back in Battlefront 2 when i would attempt to land an LAAT gunship in the imperial hangar deck but the ties were too tall and made it annoyingly harder to land. a great idea tho would be to get one of the corvettes to try to dock in an imperial star destroyer as a multistage objective game mode. players would have to dock the corvette manually while other players need to escort the corvette, then all the fun begins.

I really don't like multi stage modes. Too scripted. The opposite of what I want.

I don't think you can ignore a great feature because of possible trolls.

Ship entrances would just need to be adjusted to be a good size.
  • I'm not even bothered about the lack of landable ships. I'd prefer that as part of a multi-staged mode.

It's having Yoda as a Hero Pilot over anyone else that bugs me the most.

  • @Master_Cunha i think i found a way to improve ship boarding. to prevent spawn camping, we spawn in ships outside of the hangar in space, but the capital ships are accessible to the enemy team only, while AI defend the interior of the ship, the AI having an extremely hard difficulty. unless we spawn in the hangar deck but are already in the ship ready to take off.

Due to the fact that we actually couldn't land our starfighters into starships that will cause people lose all immersion and this game will die within a month... For them not for me!

    Disagree that it won't work.

Agree we don't need it though.

I think it's a feature best implemented when the servers can handle more players in future installments in these series.

It's having Yoda as a Hero Pilot over anyone else that bugs me the most.

I think the multi stage is more than a top way of handling it. And we may see some of that, especially since we already had it in the first game.

As for Yoda- Awww I like getting to see Yoda pilot. Hope we get Anakin and Obi Wan Pilots down the road when those heroes are available. As well as Ep II Era Jedi Starfighters it seems they've done some work on those.

Well I mean they could handle like the original games if they were to go that direction. Have the option to spawn in the ships or in space.

For people planning to sabotage, raid, or achieve objectives involving the infiltration of capital ships, they could make it a requirement to spawn in hangar in order to stock up on equipment and have access to weapons and materials needed for said infiltration objectives.

Agree with the OP. I've never seen a more entitled community than I have with this one, and it makes me ashamed to be associated with it at times. But like a train wreck I can't look away.

Thankfully there's Reddit for more mature discourse. Shoutout to most of the fine folks over there.

  • Completely agree OP.

I think the problem is some people around here think that just because there's a forum to post on, that their opinion means more than it actually does. The amount of 'We want' 'I want' 'this is how it should be' has gone a bit beyond a normal forum. Your little 60 dollar purchase isnt going to sway developers just because you posted a long winded rant with lists.

See what they continue to reveal, base your decision on that...simple. Save the whining and demanding, nothing major is going to change at this point.

    I have 2 ideas.

You could either in another part of the ship away from the hangar, that is out of bounds for the enemy and have to make your way there to climb into a ship.

    Or

You would decide which ship you want to spawn into and spawn directly into it in the hangar bay.
