Best Sonic game

What do you think is the best Sonic game ever? For me it's probably Sonic Mania followed by Sonic 3 and Knuckles.

I got Sonic Mania at the weekend and it's really good.

Alot are calling Sonic Mania the real Sonic 4 after S&K3 and I fully agree. All the other games after S&K3 were poodoo. Watched the comparison of S4 vs Sonic Mania and S4 is a disaster.

For me Knuckles is just as iconic as Sonic so if they don't have Knuckles I will be very angry.
