Guns: how many?

I hope there will be at least 50 guns in the game, 12 or so for each class. What do you guys think?

  • Unless they are very different , play different for map/phase who cares...just menu clutter

    That seems like way too many to me. They still want the game to be fairly simple for people despite introducing more factors into the gameplay. I would guess 4 - 6 guns per class

    Any shock blasters like the CA-87?
  • Thanks for feedback.... kind of disappointing but to answer you Alchemist21 a shock blaster is a star card now and I believe it is the CA-87 only saw it on menus but haven't seen any of the streams I was watching try it (I didn't buy the EA access so I can't play till the 14th to try it for u)
  • This is incredibly disappointing. There should be at least 10 guns per class considering there are a ton of movies and t.v. shows displaying a wide variety of weapons. The fact that you are using the "How do we make guns feel different" card is lazy. There are so many types of gun types (rifle, smg, lmg, assault rifle, semi-auto pistols, automatic pistols, semi-auto rifles, shotguns, etc). From these gun types assault should get smg and shotguns, heavy lmgs and assault rifles, officer semi and auto pistols, and semi rifles and rifles for the specialist. It should have been easy to find five guns for each of the 8 gun types I mentioned out of the hundreds in the star wars universe. With each type of gun for the purpose of star wars you can tweak the rate of fire, the damage per shot, the spread per shot, the vertical and horizontal recoil, and the damage fall off range. Just change the values so that each gun in each category specializes in one of the five weapon characteristics mentioned above. Et voila 10 guns per class. Everyone would have been so happy if you had done this. Please have at least this many weapons for Battlefront 3. Will definitely not pre-order battlefront 3 because you failed to have enough weapons at launch of Battlefront 2.

    If it's like the Stinger Pistol was in that it's just an alternate weapon that doesn't go into cooldown I'd be ok with that. Probably like it better actually, since it would let me switch back to a rifle for longer ranges.
