And here we are yet again, being promised an amazing game that ends up being absolute trash.

Locked heroes, deluxe unlocks of the best weapons for each class aswell as some of the best epic star cards.

The Heavy class is absolutely hated by the developers as their weapons have ***** all worth of accuracy, range or damage. You can't even use your combat shield together with your heavy repeater (which FYI takes about a year to start firing and only does moderate damage which technically is a step up from the subpar damage of the normal blaster cannon)

The Assault meanwhile might just be the most unbalanced class type ever created by DICE, with zoom in weapons, the best grenades in the game, the ability to spot enemies through walls and a freaking shotgun that lets them run at insane speeds.

As for the sniper and officer classes, they're the only thing in the game that actually feel pretty well balanced.

The Assault class reminds me of rogues in vanilla WoW pvp, literally unstoppable by any other class UNLESS you happen to have a very OP gun.

Speaking of guns, really DICE? 4 guns per class? FOUR?!

On a side note, Galactic Assault gives you 100 tickets as attackers with no way of gaining them back like revives in Battlefield except for capturing a sector which gives you around 50 tickets back, and you're expected to take an average of 3 sectors with those tickets.

  • I agree with a lot of these points unfortunately. Not to mention the AWFUL matchmaking.
  • agreed whats the point of specialist recon/sniper if people are just gonna shoot your nametag....so much for stealth upgrades
  • The matchmaking is bad because only people with EA assess are playing. It'll get better once the full game comes out. (unless we break the servers... campaign time?)

I for one, think the heavy and assault classes are fine. All weapons can zoom in, but heavies can't with a shield up. the sniper can also see through walls. Better than the assault can in most cases.

Heavy can shoot and shield just fine. You are talking sentry, which it can't. Sentry does have a second of spin up, but damage and accuracy are fine. The range on Sentry is more than fine. The sniper is the one who can't shoot and shield.

Yeah, more weapons would be cool and not having to spend a couple of days to unlock heroes would also be dope, but this game is far from absolute trash.

I'm going to enjoy it, but if you can't, don't play.

I dont agree with this at all. This is the best star wars game to date. There have never in the history of gaming been a more detailed and accurate presentation of Star Wars like this. Graphics and animations are what i call next-gen. The maps are not only detailed and beatiful to look at but they are immersive as well. It has inhabitants like other species and even wildlife running about

Heroes now have depth to them with defensive abilities making the new game mode Hero vs Villain work beatifully Definetely one of my favourite modes. Galactic Assault feels you are inside a movie. You cant run around and spam attacks like in Battlefield, here you really are rewarded for tactical gameplay. Regular shots do immense damage.

Never had any problem with the matchmaking and remember, only EA Access members have this game right now and people all around the world are connecting, most of us without any issues like me. Thats good if you ask me. I also tested the singleplayer and the campaign is a work of art. So for anyone to call this game trash cause of locked heroes....cmon thats just progression. There is so many heroes available to play from level 1.

**** you DICE and **** you EA for creating this utter garbage.

On a more serious note. It sounds like you don't play many shooter games.

    1) Yes, Assault is the best class. No, it is not "unbeatable". The better player will win.
    2) 4 guns * 4 class = 16 guns. This doesn't factor in special guns from classes (Vanguard or Hero weapons). DICE has also stated that they are adding more FREE weapons in the future....
    3) Revives? Seriously .... Have you ever played a battlefront game? This isn't battlefield.
    4) 3 complaints and you're quitting? Jesus, you're hard to please.
  • The heavy is fine where he is. He's not a run and gun class, but with thought about positioning he becomes pretty beastly. One heavy can lock down a door or a hallway, while two turn it into a meat grinder.

Sentry is best used in a situation where you know where the opponents are, or are going to be coming from, such as attacking or defending an objective. You can also start to spin up while still in cover.

The shield is awsome, but obviously won't help if you end up flanked. It also shines at locking down busy chockpoints.

Actually I have played shooter games for the last 20 years.

I didn't actually say I wanted revives, my point was that 100 tickets is way too low when you have no way of getting them back, the example being revives in Battlefield that give you 1 ticket back per revive. I thought I made that clear but I hope you understand me now.
The complaints I listed are but a few but I don't feel like spending 15 minutes writing a list of them that nobody would bother to read anyhow.

I would agree if this was actually the case, but it's not. The fact is that the Heavy class weapons have low range, low accuracy and low damage. One shot pretty much equals that of one shot from an Assault class weapon, and since they can engage you from over twice as far away with pinpoint accuracy(largly due to the zoom option in FP) you end up getting killed. Sentry would be amazing if you could couple it with your shield, but so far the only Sentry card that seems decent is the Explosive version.

You gave three reasons, but I'd like to hear your other reasons...

For instance, 1) will be fixed with balance patches. 2) will be fixed with the addition of new DLC. 3) will be fixed with balance patches. DICE has already addressed this issue in another thread and said "they are working on it".

So what else is "wrong" with this game?

I don't see a compelling argument to not purchase the game based on what you've stated.
  • The main issue for me is the match making and how i cant stick to the one era. Thats complete trash. Cross era heroes are abit iffy aswell. And the fact that there are only 5 actual new, fresh heroes, REALLY sucks.

That's weird, because it's worked that way for me both during the beta and my trial...
I must be playing a different game.

We really need a server browser in Battlefront. I cannot believe that the developers are not adding one again. Such a huge mistake. Seriously, what are they thinking? This game is supposed to continue one for years with a long live service plan but I fear it's not going to last long... and forbid they make the same mistakes in the inevitable Battlefront III, whenever it will be.
  • Now I know it's just a pile of horse ***** with the players like you and everyone else *****. Shut the **** up and don't buy the game, do us all the favor of not having to hear your whining. EA/DICE did a fantastic job, answering 7 of the most desired features in this release:

A GOOD Campaign (and given the first mission? I already can't wait to discover the rest)

    CLASS based gameplay.

    ALL ERA'S

    ALL HEROES from ALL trilogies

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> FREE DLC <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

    DECENT REFINED SPACE BATTLES!

    >>>> ACTUALLY LISTENS TO THEIR PLAYERS, REFORMING THE LOOTBOX SYSTEM <<<<

Shut the hell up, you know nothing about game design and what level of work it takes to make a video game of this size and detail. They did a tremendous job, an easy 9/10 from me. It's only going to get better if they keep listening to the fans as well. Any ***** who expects this game or any game in the future to run flawlessly with 0 bugs, 0 issues, 0 balance problems, needs to go jump off a cliff. Never happening, get over it, refund the game and don't come back if you can't handle it. Don't even be a gamer, sell your entire PC. Whiners, shut the hell up.
"Keep your friends rich and keep your enemies rich, then wait to find out which is which."
  • What I think is incredibly dumb is how there are technically 9 weapons per class, but 6 are factions specific and there is absolutely no way to use them while playing as another faction. We already have heroes and villains that are in periods where they never even existed, so don't try to play the 'immersion' card on this one.

Locking the player out of the majority of weapons is just ridiculous.

Go cry somewhere else if you can't handle the truth. The game is not well balanced, and it is an insult to the fanbase. You're just a typical fanboy who refuses to see anything wrong with the product. Kindly go ***** yourself.

Hell, I'd argue that the pay to win aspect let alone is sufficient reason not to buy it. And just incase you were going to come back and say that it isn't pay to win, allowing the playerbase to buy a deluxe version to access arguably the best guns for each class aswell as amazing starcards is pay to win, by the very definition. Not saying you were going to claim it isn't, but I'd rather prepare myself than have a back and forth with you for weeks.

Balance changes are always needed post launch. If you don't want to purchase a game because of internal imbalance, then that's respectable.

I love p2win games. I don't have a problem with them because I know I'm better than majority of players. It won't matter if you drop an extra X dollars because I will still beat you.
