Balancing the Assault class

imo i came to the conclusion there is no point of using the Assault over the Officer besides the vanguard speed boost

the Assault has 150 hp so is the officer
but the officer can increase his max health to 250 with command boost
they both do about the same dmg (dps)
the officer has a disable ability close range that can wreck any class close range

for some reason the officer has less range dmg scalling than the officer from my experience

they nerfed the health of the assault from 200 to 150 so the assault has the same hp as specialist and officer wich both are supperior the specialist can double tap the assault with the smg or use the last sniper to just one shot in the chest and you are dead.


my suggestion increase the health of the assault with the thoughen up ability to 250 + health regen

    its exactly what the officer has with the command boost. How is it too mutch ?

    at this point the assault class isnt even a glass canon since it doesnt do more dmg than the specialist or officer at close range and both class beats the assault at long range.

    i did played all class a lot actually and tested the dmg,abilities everything and like i said there is no point of playing assault beside the minor speed boost from vanguard that have been nerfed anyway from the beta

    250?!? Are you insane? The A280 turns the assault class into an absolute beast.

    not true , again the command boost gets the same hp to the officer how come it will be broken on the assault ? plus the A280 doesnt do has mutch dmg has the pistols of the officer with the 4 bullet burst or the single shot action of the 4th pistol and has less range dmg scalling

    did you even played the game man ?

    plus if you turn a corner and officer face you he can use instant disable your gun and you wont do ***** with your 150 hp and die in 2 seconds.

    same happend if a heavy or specialist turn the corner , the heavy pop his shield and you wont kill him before he kill you same goes with the specialist except if you kill him instantly with a vanguard shot to the face.

    once people find out that you can have a team full of officers and specialist combo the game is over for assault

    specialist can have an active wall hack ability with a super powerful smg + the command boost ability of the officer gain a +100 hp to 250 max health

    the assault reveal dart ability whatever its called is not always active you need to shoot an area wich is pointless and take the spot of thoughen up wich is a way better ability

    trust me once people realize this no one will be playing assault anymore

    he can, im not sure but i think it only works if you buff someone else as well

    I think the fact we keep seeing so many different people saying “X class is overpowered/underpowered!” means they did a fairly good job of balancing the classes.

    I’m actually impressed so far with the class balancing. People need to figure out they are for different things.

    im actually super good at shooters im global elite at CSGO and played for 15+ years

    im mirror matching a friend and trying match ups and we came to conclusion that the assault is the weakes and loses in majority of the time from 3 different range.

    long range he lose every mu besides heavy wich is a 2-3 for assault

    in close range we only was able to win if we hit that hs with the vanguard while the ability is ready againts specialist but loses all other mu againts the other classes

    -officer disable your gun then ***** you
    -heavy instant grenade you with impact grenade shield up and ***** you
    -specialist wall hack your ***** and preaim your head and 2 click burst and your dead (your only good match up close up)

  • As a big Officer player, my best games were with the Assault class last night. No changes needed imo.

    The classes seem much more balanced from the beta, where Heavy class ruled supreme. Now, I found myself winning a lot of 1v1 with them as Assault or Officer.

    Only played assault in Strike so far but yep Heavy is no longer dominant as in Beta so far
  • There is no way the assault class needs a buff right now. It's performing very well. Officers can only self heal with a modified version of their buff. Maybe the Assult doesn't match you or your friends playstyle, because they can go toe to toe with any other class at pretty much any range.
  • assault is fine infact that's all I see assault and specialists. It's get sniped leaving cover or shotgun spam. Shotgun and turtle a doorway mostly all you see.
