Specialist thoughts after playing

I played the specialist all night and found it needs some love. It should be Somewhere between where it is now and where it was in beta.
- shock grenade is pretty useless how it is now. Normal grenades are just way better. The base level shock grenade needs to stun the enemies like in BF2015. I think it even did this in the beta. Otherwise it is like we are playing with 2 star cards.
- infiltration needs some love though don't make it where it was in beta. Each shot with it should either (do more damage) or (use up half as much "time" than it does now and the pause between shots should be halved, still longer than beta). Parenthesis used here to group the 2 "or" options
- I don't think the marking should have been split from the binoculars unless you can now mark enemies behind walls.
- the a280-cfe needs a couple stats increased, being add 1 to damage and 2 to range I think should be good without being too much. At the very least 1 and 1. The assault a280 has more points in it for some reason, making it a better sniper than the snipers' rifle. Its damage at range is just so low it requires the burst mod, but with its recoil you can't always get all shots of that to hit either.
- needs 125 or 150 hp. It is too squishy. Any class can out snipe a sniper due to this. And this is especially true since the sniper rifle with the highest overall stats in the game is an Assault weapon!

This would help bring the specialist back into prevalence in this game.

Specialist is easily my favorite class. I preform the best with them, and I can get top player many times with this class. They do not need a damage buff. All of their weapons are amazing, and I have them all unlocked. The HP may need to be buffed, but they are meant to be played defensively.
  • I've yet to see one in the top 3 except when the rest of the team is terrible (that's when I've done it too) but I prob haven't come across you yet. Also i think only a slight range buff and very slight damage buff to the 1 gun. The rest are fine.

    This has been my experience
  • In my opinion, i'd leave their health alone, as I feel they can tank quite a bit of damage as it is. I am not opposed to a slight increase of stats on some of their guns, they should be a glass cannon of sorts having lethal guns but be incredibly squishy in terms of taking damage, so I am all for that. I don't play specialist much honestly, got just a bit over 10 mins (played them only for my milestone) but was impressed at the 1 shot kill ability, if only my aim was better I'd actually consider playing them more often.

To add to whether they are effective on the leaderboard, with my experience on PC they definitely are. Maps like tatooine, naboo and kashyyyk to name a few have been a nightmare for me when playing against competent snipers and they seem to own the top player spot quite often. If they hide well and get a clear bead on you, it's lights out. It's pretty frustrating to be 1 shotted all the time on those maps. Even on clusterducked maps like Yavin or Deathstar, a lot of guys run around COD style close range fighting with sniper rifles, which can be frustrating at times as well.
