The ARC-170 Starfighter

This silly starfighter needs a fix. Why is every other starfighter in the game better? My biggest issue with this starfighter is that the indicators to show where enemy starfighters are isn't there. In Kashyyyyyyyyyk, any droid starfighter I use will dominate the ARC-170. Also, why isn't there a V-Wing for use?

One other thing, in maps where one side has more starfighters, it's almost impossible for the other side to fight back if both teams have really good pilots.

  • I do fine on both sides. It's all about map awareness. While doing runs on the ground I'm constantly checking the skies for enemy players. The times I die is when I miss one and it gets on me before I realized it but most of the time I can turn it around. I used to think the tri fighter was op but now im doing just as well with the fighter class droid ship. I just think its skill.

    The issue with Kashyyyk is that the clone V-Wing isn't there I dont think. So the seperatists have an interceptor and clones dont which puts clones at a disadvantage. I'll have to double check. But im pretty sure only the bomber and arc-170 are available.
  • While I agree the turn on it is a big sluggish, it's fine otherwise. I've had some great runs with it on SA and GA.

    I used it in Starfighter Assault on Kamino and Ryloth and I was destroying with it.

  • This fighter is the only one I've been able to use effectively. The trick is to know when to use your turret gunner, so its always around when you need it.

    Yeah the Rear gun on it is stu*pid strong, if you use it at the right time is basically a free kill.

  • I've got no issues with the ARC-170's abilities. It's the lack of an 'enemy starfighter indicator' that's the problem (you know? The red triangle thing around the reticle?) I've noticed it on Kashyyyyyyyyyyyyyk. I haven't played more than a few games of SA to see if the problem persists there.
