Have never seen an AT-AT or MTT destroyed

Has anyone been in a game where they actually managed to take down the AT-ATs on Hoth or the MTT's on Theed and Kashyyyk? Seems like it's pretty much impossible unless you severely outskill the enemy team and/or your entire team is fully equipped with anti-vehicle star cards-- which really isn't realistic to expect. I mean, when I'm the Empire or CIS, I don't even worry about defending the AT-AT/MTT because I know they're not going to die anyways.

Personally, I feel like they could use a health reduction or increase the time they're vulnerable after being hit with an EMP rocket. I mean, I get that most games are probably not intended to end in the first phase. But still, as of now it feels like an impossible feat to actually bring these things down.

  • Give it a few weeks as people get unlocks for Ion-type weaponry. I know my Specialist has his "tank killer" with the anti-vehicle rounds. I can take 5-10% off the objectives HP in one opening by myself. Reducing the health will just make it so they melt too fast once people start hitting that gear point where they can choose to go anti-vehicle. For now you'll just have to rough it out.

Absolutely Faldaga. I spent some of my crafting parts on an ion torpedo for exactly this reason. Makes a huge difference and also helps takes out AT-ST’s and AAT’s which wreak havoc if no-one has any anti vehicle weapons.
  • Yeah I've been using the Ion Torpedo on my heavy during hoth and endor but it feels like a lost cause because noone else is really paying attention to it.

I ALMOST killed the first AT-AT today on Endor. Was 14% when it arrived at the base.

I'm thinking along the lines of Faldaga that once people unlock some Ion weaponry and actually start ptfo, you'll see those walkers get melted. So I am holding off on calling for any nerfs atm and wait and see.

I'm not sure defending teams are really trying to take them down. I've seen it a few times, but the next stage is usually more fun.

  • I played in a Hoth map last night and we took out one walker and had the second to 25%, but it was literally a RELENTLESS assault on them and we still couldn't take them both out.

same most people ignore it, needs more points to be worth it like 3x as much in damage

Most don't want to take it down, they want to go on to phase 2.

  • Had a game last night where we took down both the walkers. Focusing on one at the time with lots of heavy classes and air support seemed to be doing a great job doing damage as well.

Same. I was in many teams who really tried hard, but it's not possible.

  • yes I have.

Actually if you do enough damage to 1 AT-AT in hoth you can kill it (so focus your damage on to one AT-AT). This will provide you a massive advantage during the second phase because one of the doors will be sealed shut.
  • Get a bunch of defenders with the ion turret. Job done

ya because ranks, milestones, etc always hated these inventions to games because instead of focusing more on the objective they are more focused on getting boba and getting a triple with his wrist rockets then getting the rockets on the ATAT. ya terrible invention. And encouraged to with rewards.
  • We got beat today on Endor At-At phase. At at just about to arrive at the end of it's walk and then died...

    :( so sad...
