Reinforcements in Blast game mode

Let's talk about this for a minute.

I think reinforcements as Wookiee warrior, Death Trooper ect should be taken out from Blast game mode.

They are ruining the game.
Why?

- Because they are powerfull enough to dominate these short game modes long enough that most of the time the same people are using them and wrecking the head of everyone (I had NEVER any Blast game where I didn't saw a reinforcement player on the game end screen. Especially the wookiee)
- Because what's the point of having them, but not having heroes? They are almost that strong as heroes. Again: especially the Wookiee.
- Blast is a Team Deatchmatch game where classes like the Reinforcements are just as you would throw a Boss into an Unreal T. match.

Just let everyone play their Assault, Heavy and Officer (no, not Specialist, because it's useless on every map except Kamino and Takodama)

  • I agree. I'd also prefer they put in a powerup system that you could put your points towards, maybe also do it as blasters only.
  • Aye - especially when you want to use Blast to grind your profession/weapon line. As soon as one side starts popping those reinforcements you're bound to abandon your grind because - especially the Wookie - deal way too much damage and have way too much health.

If a player wishes to get familiar with the class and their abilities you have Strike and Arcade. In Strike they don't hurt that much because of more open space.

    Exactly.

To be honest I never abandon my class because the grind for weapons is much more worth to me than the team win (yeah I know...I know...) but as soon someone picks a Wookie, the win is guaranteed.
  • An officer with disruption ability can kill a wookie in seconds

It's actually quite easy to get Specialist kills in Blast.

Equip Brawler (green/blue), Shield (green/blue) and Infiltration.

Activate Infiltration, then activate Shield and have fun sprinting around and malee everyone. Two hit malee kills. Got my 50 Specialist kills yesterday in two games of Blast just doing this.

It's quite funny watching some players panic when you just charge at them.

I agree there’s just no need for reinforcements in Blast. It’s a TDM and all players should just be troopers. Create a TDM mode full of reinforcement classes if you want to play those characters.

Sometimes, I just want to play a specialist for awhile and it’s a nightmare when the wookiees show up. I may as well quit the game at that point.

There should be a mode with only troopers. If the devs don’t want Blast to be that mode, then create another game mode.
  • +1 Completely agree. Or at least if you need to keep them in, make it so their health doesn't regenerate at all.

+1 no need for them plus heavy should be 30% slower as they can too easily win CQC with no skill required
  • Yes. Remove reinforcements from blast.

If the player who picked a Wookie and let's an officer close enough to use disruptor that dumb, than even a hero or a tank wouldn't save his/her ****. :D
I didn't say they are stupid proof. But they are way OP for this game mode.
  • I'd agree here too also. It's probably okay to have the rocket troopers but do away with the wookies and death troopers.
