What newbs need to understand before claiming hacks

1. Headphones. I can hear your size 13 timbs stomping in the snow so don't call hacks if I can hear where you're coming from.
2. Bluurgin. The bluurg can 1 shot burst people with the mod in the head which on your end appear as if it was a 1 shot. Yes the gun is a little too strong.
3. Pure knowledge and experience. I'm rank 50 and played this game long enough to know typical enemy routes and tactics that I can predict some cheeky lad will try and flank at a given time. There are only so many diverse things you can do on these maps.
4. Instincts. Trust me when I say people do get an urge to suddenly turn around or check their flank and catch someone lurking.

I don't really care when people call me a hacker but then it gets annoying when the whole chat turn into owls. "who?" "who's hacking" "hacker where?" "report drew"

Anyways I hope someone takes these into account before claiming hacks on others. Bye.

  • I was accused of it recently, bc i took out his Yoda. He first claimed I 3 shot him with my weapon. I was using the assault 280 which is a 3 round burst. This is what really happened, I got two good (burst) shots in his back. then he ran into a hall, i chased and loaded the vanguard, i was able to get 3 rounds in him with the vanguard. He flipped, I rolled and rolled again. then he was facing the wrong way swinging his saber. I emptied into him until i overheated. He died, Im a hacker. Instead of a little credit for taking out a hero alone, he calls me a hacker and report. I dont care really about the report. In fact, he was forth in that round and i ended up with a crappy 13 kills. It was a bad round for me, so yeah it gets annoying, however its the one and only time I was accused of it.

    Hello m8.

First of all happy newyear everyone.
I feel ur pain m8. I get called a cheater from time to time as well.
Last night i was doing some strike matches. Where i ended up with 40+ eliminations and the second one on our team was 20 eliminations.

There was 1 guy on the other team that called me a cgeater from the first time i shot him. "Nice bluurg oneshot aimbot dude" was his comment.

That made me giggle especially since ive been using the se44c since i got rapid fire beginning december. ?

Its like u say. People dont know maps and when they get flanked they start on a rampage...

I am r50 as well with a main officer of r50. The other classes i got to 35+ if needed. And both my reinforcements wookie and rocket r lvl 18 and 19.

I do know most of the maps pretty good and that gives a good advantage in predicting where people will spawn or run. Thus making it free for a flanking strategy.

Its not only about killing people. Uts about the knowledge of where will they possibly respawn relative to my or my team position after killing em.

Also pay attention to the minimap and the amount of people killed in what time. Caus that may indicate a group spawn or a single spawn at one of the possible spawn locations.

Hope these tips can help out newer players. Caus its annoying ti see that quite alot of people cannot tell the difference between a good player and an obvious cheater.

  • I like how you mentioned the headphones, since sound plays an important part.

On the subject of sound, and hacks: a hack will only work one way, the same way for an entire match. When you get killed, you will hear a set of sounds. Could be a single sniper shot to the head. Could be multiple shots while you dance with someone till you drop.

Point is, a hack will make the same sound, every time. Remember that sound if you think it is. Try to confirm it instead of freaking out. You'll know what to do afterwards.

Using headphones? Hacker! I've had quite a few hacking accusations, and sometimes someone decides to accuse my whole clan of hacking when we're dominating a game. Or the usual insults of wallet warriors, purple credit whales, daddy's benefits, MasterCard noob and other remarks.
  • Oh yeah and He said something about mommies credit card? Im 43, married, with kids, 2 vehicles, house and land, etc....... I think im way past mommy. No offense mom ,,,love you lol

  • Never accused anyone of hacking here but there have been numerous times where I should've won a 1v1 engagement and lost, most likely due to latency not registering some of my shots or dodges.

    It happens.

I've played matches against you while you were playing with another 4 or 5 clan mates and I have also been in your team. Only thing I can say it bothers me about you guys is the same thing that bothers me about any other player, the vehicle abuse. Apart from that nothing negative to point out.

Yeah, the vehicles provide you with so many benefits that it's hard to stay away from it. It's the most efficient way to get a hero fast. I enjoy the hero gameplay the most so it's natural for me to just sit in a vehicle until I get one fast.

Though the battle points you gain in a vehicle needs to be toned down. It's too much considering that it's easy to get huge kill streaks with a vehicle depending on your card loadout.
  • Some people are too quick to jump to conclusions but don't blame the people who think you are hacking, blame the hackers for creating an atmosphere of mistrust in the game that ruins it for everyone.

Perhaps a mix of toning down points gained and making vehicles more expensive
  • If I suspect a hacker, I ask my team via the in game chat if they think player xyz is cheating. Sometimes the answer is a no, a few times, it has been a yes. Several not sure. Report if people say yes, and say exactly why you are reporting that player.

In swbf 1 it was easier to spot hackers, since orbital strike indoors, or walking across the sky, is so obvious. My team actually called out in the chat, the guy walking mountain top high on hoth, in the sky, what a unique hack it was, and then we all reported him.

Not nearly as many players hacking apparently in this game as the last one.

I have only seen 1 hack in battlefront 2 - an insta-kill weapon which doesn't register on the death card. And I've only seen two players using it.

If anything else is happening, then I don't think your opponent is hacking.
  • Loads of hacks in BF2. Simple google search for hacks brings apps and forums filled with screenshots esp settings, how to’s and the assortment of subscriber pay to win stuff.

There may be lots of hacks, but the only hack I've ever seen used is the insta-kill weapon (it also has an aimbot attached).

ESP is something that you really don't need a hack for - listen, use the radar, use your brain, or exploit the abilities that the specialist/assault and Rey get.

If people are being reported for things other than the aimbot + insta-kill then, IMHO, they are very likely to be innocent.
  • People r just **** cause they arnt good lol noobs

Respect every player, play with honor
  • I got accused of hacking when I used the Specialist melee build and ended up with the most kills.

  • On the PC, most of the hackers know about FairFight , they don't go into game and try to go 100-2 kda. They hide behind other things, like one-shot blurg or turning off aim bot, not killing by head shots every time. FF watches for anomalies, like always getting a head-shot, hitbox patterns, based on statistics. A good player can't kill 5 players in three seconds, so they avoid these type of things.

You can get a feel of someone who always head shots you no matter how you fight them. Some guys will always have +10 kills in the first 5 mins of a game, they use officer blurg, or a specialist. I have seen some of the hacks in GA, most are officers or specialist.

This is why they need a client side anti-cheat, not based on statistics. Also, this is the reason players are calling out hackers, because there isn't a clear cut way to detect someone cheating.

Dude, having 10+ kills within 5 minutes of a game is extremely easy and I do that almost every game without any cheats. Yes I use a Blurrg. But 10+ kills per 5 minutes is a bad example as any FPS veteran will have more than enough skill and aim to kill all the newbs coming through choke points or just kill people with worst guns or grenade a couple of targets... it's just really easy if you don't keep dying everytime you meet an enemy player. I have a video on the forum where I go on a 11 kill streak (happens very often) without any star cards equipped using a Blurrg, just aim and shoot and know where you're going to flank the unsuspecting enemy rather than you being the one to get flanked.

    I have gone over 100/1
I have killed 5 players in under 3 seconds with TL50
I easily get significantly more than 10 kills in 5 minutes...

Guess I've been hacking this whole time and didn't even know it!
  • I cut down numerous people with the TL50 in the first couple of minutes in a blast match by just standing behind a door that you know the opposing team are going to rush through. All downed like dominoes. Easy to rack up 10 quick kills without cheats if you know the map layouts and opposing team choke points.

You can melt heros with that TL50, But I feel that weapon should be an assault weapon. The spread is really bad at any distance.

There are more than you think, I play alot with 3 other guys. We all record, and when something is off, we team up to find the player. We caught 9 people hacking, its easier to do when you have someone on the opposite team. Some of the names i have memorized and its the same with them every game.
  • I have something to add, I never see these 9 people on the forums. I wonder if the hackers stay away from the forums?

I don't blame you for doing it, I have come up against AOD players on here and in PS2, I think its a bit cheap, but thats not your fault as such. I am hoping they nerf the **** out of it if I am honest. In a game, not with your clan, the other day one guy had 132 kills on Kashyyk phase 1, and had two pals spawn camping the air spawn making him unkillable. He was clearly hoping to end up with hero after hero in the final phase, but we destroyed his team who werent ptfo.

It cannot be working as intended to allow players to sit in vehicles gaining 75000 points whilst not playing the objective. Don't think I have ever accused anyone of hacking except one guy who had 200 kills with an assault, he was jerking around somehow taking advantage of his lag. I don't know if it was really hacking or him abusing a lag mechanic.

Most of the time I can accept a better player gets the drop on me. Usually from my own dumb actions

My current best is 106k BP in first phase of Kashyyyk in the tank... I think it is fine!
  • Im sure you do!
  • I don’t believe they do anything about hackers . Client side monitoring would stop about 99 percent of it and they simply don’t do it.
  • I don't accuse players of hacking but rather a match making flaw, when a officer has more firepower in his pistol than a assault, why bother with assault then ?

1 shot guns are really horrible, what do you learn then...oh x weapon will murder you in one shot, helpful lesson when you are trying to assault an objective and since the maps sort of push you to a lane or another , its hard to avoid.

I prefer not to say hacks, but its hard when a sniper pings you right through a cavern all ...a underground cave and he is on the other side of said cave, its a bit hard to suspend your disbelief .

BUT most of the issues are a miss match by the match maker.

Bull! It's not just the autocowreck-like nonsense of the matchmaker, it's when you've got heroes that haven't cracked 10 yet that are able to faceroll through a squad of 40's. That's hacking. It's when Han or Leia can overheat their guns point blank on someone and they lose maybe a 1/4 health and then 1-shot you. That's hacking. It's when a lvl 8 Darth Vader can Force choke a maxxed Luke to death each and every SINGLE TIME! That's a hack. I've been collecting them and will create another account to use them. Might as well get some enjoyment out of this game again.

Oh yeah, 2 Lukes or Mauls on the field? Definite hack. Yet nothing gets done about it.
  • This is why I play on PS4
    My PSN is musicman8811
