Has Anyone Asked For AI-Heros In Arcade?

Prev13
This would be fun to practice your heroes against other heroes and if nobody has asked for this yet, I'm asking for it now. :) Would it be possible or is it a lot of work to program AIs to play as heros?

Replies

  • It would be fun, cause I put the ai to be strong and everything, but I still kill them too quick so I can't really practice with my jedis

I have found the same thing to be true. Even though I try to make the match as challenging as possible, I can always beat the AI. I think a buff is needed. On the heroes for AI, I think that would be epic. Especially if they added an all heroes mode to arcade.

Along with a few other match option settings, I've been asking for AI Heroes and Special Units be added to Arcade since launch. It needs to happen.
    "All wings report in."
  • I have been asking for hero AI as well. Hero AI is what I would like to see added to the game the most.
It's always good to see new people request this.
I am the same user as Elimelech401, that account was not tied to the game. I am hoping for more Skirmish with split screen and hero AI.
  • Even if Hero AI was added, I doubt they'd be very challenging. Even on Expert, the enemy AI is really easy, and hardly use their abilities effectively. Sure, it might be fun to practice against them, but would they really even be that difficult?
  • @petervesti_dice

May we please get an update on hero AI? Is there still a chance it could happen? Thanks.

  • I would like to see that.
I like my blue milk cold.
  • I don't want them to leave out support for Special Unit AI either, though. AI Heroes are a must, but so are AI Special Units.

Agreed. It would also be cool to have an option to choose how many heroes are on each side at one time.

  • Heroes vs Villains now that something i'd <3 to battle ai heroes or villans in custom Arcade with a variety of settlings, maps difficulty perhaps a massive onslaught tdm match. ;) @petevesti_dice

Plenty of people have asked for it. It would certainly make Arcade matches more interesting, to have an AI hero spawn on the opposing team when the player selects a hero. Like if you choose Luke Skywalker, the AI spawns in Darth Vader, or if you choose Han Solo, one of the AI assumes the role of Boba Fett. It would also make Duel mode playable with AI bots.

Special Unit AI is already in the campaign for the Imperial Rocket Trooper and First Order Flametrooper, so I see no reason they can't add this to Arcade...

Arcade mode needs 20v20 and starfighter battles for Battlefront II!!!

  • That would be a yes.

Yup but the more that do the more likely to get them.

  • I agree. I want AI Enforcer units, Aerials and all the Heroes.

I'm really upset this isn't in Battlefront II already. It should've been included at launch. I mean, we stressed how important it was to us in Battlefront '15, so why didn't they prioritize it for Battlefront II? Were they really listening to our feedback?
    Geronimo!
  • I can agree with u
I have the somewhat highish ground
  • Hopefully, hero AI will be available when the large mode launches.

Arcade Heroes vs Villians mode where we can select characters for both sides would be cool too. We could reenact all the movie duels then. :)

    That would be awesome.

  • If it is the fiscal quarters are what's stopping them from communicating, we should have a lot of info (everything they will do in between April and June) in about two weeks. Hopefully, hero AI will be in this.

Yeah, truly. I'm dying to be able to play against AI Heroes (and Special Units). Here's hoping.

  • If we get hero AI it would be cool to have an option to reserve heroes so the AI does not pick the hero a player wants to use.

Wait don’t we have Special Units in Arcade Offline? I mean we have: Rebel Wookies, Rebel Jet Troopers, Imperial Death Troopers, Imperial Jet Troopers, First Order Flame Troopers, First Order Jet Troopers, Resistence Wookies, Resistence Jet Troopers, Clone Jet Troopers, clone era Wookies, Super Battle Droids, Jet Super Battle Droids.... Sooooo I do not understand what you mean, unless you mean Destroyer Droids and Clone Arch Troopers, which would be beyond sweet?

Yes A.I. heroes/villains in Arcade is an absolute must. We also need to have the ability to chose in menus how difficult they are.

    For example:

(1.) How often they use their special ability (slow recharge, normal recharge, fast recharge)
(2.) How often they use evasive techniques such as roll or quick slide left or right (random, a lot, never)
    (3.) How strong their health is (one hit, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, 200%, 300%, 400%)
    (4.) How powerful their attack is (one hit, 25%, 50%, 75%,100%, 200%, 300%, 400%)
So this way it would be easy for children and can be super hard for adults or casual if we so desire.

Adjusting this in menus would also effect how potent the ability is, just like Online, which would be the eqivalent of a player with a grey star card vs one with a purple star card, this brings realism to the A.I.. Which is another options idea for “power of their attack”. What could be done is the options for Heroes /Villains A.I to have ether: grey cards, green cards, blue cards or purple cards the higher the menu selection pick the more effective the enemy attack.

    “There is always hope.”

Here’s my opinion. Sometimes PvP is WAY 2 tough and stressful. 4 me, sometimes I just want 2 relax and play SW. AI bots would do this, but arcade lacks Starships, Heroes, and special enemy characters. What I would like 2 see, although it probably will never happen, is 2 see a GA mode PvE style or something like arcade but more than 2 players can play. When I play arcade, its only splitscreen option at the most, so unless ur splitscreening u can’t coop & u never get the battle u REALLY want (like if ur Luke & u want to fight an AI Vader on Bespin, whether 4 fun or practice, u can’t unless ur splitscreening or lets say u wanna reinact something with u being Rey and u want 2 have an AI Finn and Chewie on ur team fighting an AI Kylo & Phasma, u can’t). PvP is great, but how many ppl go all out? How many people maxed out heroes or knows “tricks” that typically makes PvP more stressful? idk 4 me I just wanna chill and have fun, but the PvP way is rather 2 stressful and often demands u give it ur all and usually a bit more, yet the Arcade is WAY 2 soft u can beat expert level in ur sleep. If ur Vader, u’ll just eat away the Rebels without heroes fighting against u and u can only do that through splitscreen & it’s aggravating. Mayb u get less points 4 playing PvE and if u doing challenges u hafta do PvP, but I would like 2 play more of a coop mode in PvE style rather than PvP. Just my opinion.

Being able to have multiple heroes on each team via split screen is what I'm after. If they increased the split screen to 4, that would be epic!

I to agree it would be great if they decided to add AI Heroes into arcade mode.

    Yes, agreed.

I know that one video by StarwarsHQ about Qui Gon Ginn being an up incoming hero was just an April Fools joke but still...I would love to see him in the game.

I also of course want to see Obi Wan Kenobi, General Grievous and Darth Tyranus in the game as well. It would be just beyond epic if they were A.I. enemies Offline, think of it. Not since Star Wars Revenge of the Sith (the game) or Star Wars Battlefront 2 (Lucas Arts/ Pandemic) has this been done. Wow...so very exciting.

    “Do it.”

Forget the force powers just think of the epic light saber duels man. Grevious vs Obi Wan, woooo.

That would be awesome. The more heroes (especially saber users) available with hero AI, the better. I like using the force powers so I'd like them to be there as well.

Well for me it’s all about the application of the sword fighting.

Do you remember “Star Wars Revenge of the Sith” the video game? That game was waaaaaay ahead of its time. The laser sword dueling was so epic. They had a feature that if you clashed swords it would turn into a mini game. Basically whoever pressed there button the fastest would push the other on the floor winning the stalemate of the clashed swords. It was a cool very Star Warsy thing. That sort of thing I miss a lot, you know the very personal duel. It just seems to me the dueling mechanics are somewhat boring; it lacks finesse. I do not think that in this game that could be done, people would shoot you will your lightsaber locked up. But if they added all of SWROTS game’s feature mechanics for saber users...you’d be able to swiftly dispense with troopers, just saying. The mechanics were just so fluid, it was like an extension of yourself and became natural and easy. But yet it was sooooo ahead of its time.

    Imagine that on and offline.

The would be sweet in Arcade; however, I would replace the button mashing with a balance bar that gets more difficult over time similar to skate boarding games.
I am the same user as Elimelech401, that account was not tied to the game. I am hoping for more Skirmish with split screen and hero AI.

That would be awesome. The more heroes (especially saber users) available with hero AI, the better. I like using the force powers so I'd like them to be there as well.

Hmmmm never played those explain. :)

P.S.- Actually only the saber lock required a fast button press, exactly like when stunned by Londo in SWBF2 2017. The rest of the moves were more like knowing combos that you memorize like Camcom Street Fighter games only easier to pick up on. Generally the moves require holding down one button and then you press another. Basic moves are mega easy to learn and only required one button and the joystick. Soooo it was massively fluid like I said.

For the balance mechanic, the player has to tilt the thumb stick in a direction to keep a marker with in the middle area of a gauge as time goes by the middle area could get smaller. The first player to have their marker go out side the middle area loses. The game looked fluid in the video.
