Officer needs a major nerf.

The officer needs a Nerf.

1) ALL 4 guns are overpowered and one shot every single time. They need nerfed into the ground and ought to be the worst guns in the game because the officer is for support first and foremost. Indeed, since the officer is for support, these guns should have the longest time to kill of all weapons in the game, since a support should not be able to do anything besides supporting friendlies.
2) the officer should not be able to buff himself at all, furthermore the officer should not be able to use recharge command and then get the recharge of his own abilities because that makes the officer able to use his own abilities too much.
3) the officer should not even have a the ability to overheat enemy players weapons or use flash grenade unless within the range of a curtain number of friendlies which he is supporting. In other words, if the officer is alone and not supporting anyone, the abilities cannot be used. In addition, the use of these abilities would allow the officer to attack on his own against the enemy, thus circumventing his purpose of support.

I'm sure these aren't all the things we need in order to truly bring balance to the officer. Perhaps the officer needs only 100 health because of how valuable he should be to his friendlies. Afterall, the officer is for support, which obviously means not eliminating enemies, just damaging them a little bit so that friendlies can eliminate enemies instead. Officer's only use should be for buffing, recharging friendlies. Without friendlies nearby the officer should be as easy as making a PB&J sandwich to eliminate.

Let's make this thread huge so we can show the developers how the officer ought to be.

As they should be right? But no, they aren't trashy enough. If you follow my post though they could do with becoming more so, come on we can make this thread huge and put the officer in his rightful place as lower than bantha fodder except to his friendlies.

With my marvelous plan if an officer wanted to try that, his squad shield would not even work without friendlies nearby.

Or they find out they didn't nerf it enough. Like the officer. He's just too OP, still needs to hit even bantha fodder status to even be close to the way a "support should be."

    ;)

  • No,, just no.

If anything, the Specialist needs a buff but that is it. I think the all the other classes are balanced now.. If played correctly, all of the classes can be amazing!
  • Officers are fine where they are. Leave them alone. They don't 1 shot kill. Its not true. If you think they are so great use then and dominate the game.

Or play as assault and use the Vanguard and run around 1 shoting people

Or be a heavy and crouch with your shield and 500 health, and melt people

No, the officer is for support. Support only. Officer's should not be able to buff or recharge themselves, only teammates. They should not be able to use any abilities to that could possibly help themselves. In fact they would only be able to use abilities when around a certain number of teammates and never otherwise. And their pistols need adjusted to have the longest TTK in the game because support should not be able to eliminate enemies; no, they should only be able to support other players to do so. They shouldn't be using the absolute strongest weapons in the Galaxy, sporting an easy as 123 instant one shot death with every effortless pull of the trigger.

You know it to be true, lol, join me, and make this thread huge so the officer can take his rightful place as bantha fodder, no, less than bantha fodder when it comes to doing things that do not support teammates in getting kills and working the objective.

Pretty much. The fanbase is what is ruining everything. They want something, they get it = cry.

Same happened with TLJ. A tremendous film that split everyone just because it took some people out of their comfort zone. Why? Because they cried that TFA was playing too safe.

Officer is fine. Assault has just as fast TTK on their guns whilst also having access to better grenades and various health regen mechanics. Heavy guns are weaker but they have more health and a Sheild.

Heavy is still the strongest trooper class even after the nerf to SCS. Easiest way to win and defence is just have your whole team pick heavy and spam explosive sentry.

Lol, no way heavy is the strongest trooper class. Assault and officer are much stronger than heavy in terms of weapons, damage output,
range, equipment, weapons cooldown quicker, more agile (heavy has more hp but are slower and sluggush compared to the other two by a long shot).

People who play heavy are by far the easiest targets, barely any threat at all and are easiest to evade. They just happen to soak up more damage but still doesn't make them better as they end up getting killed anyway.

Thanks to this SCS nerf, scrubs can't camp and spam-spray any more hahaha, looks like they're actually gonna have to go out and fight or use other classes.

Heavy is fun to use, but is definitely the class rookies / noobs / scrubs immediately go for as they think either sitting behind a shield and / or spraying sentry will make them unstoppable with high body counts.

Assault and officer is where it's at for the skilled (assault being my favourite). GG to the devs

By the logic you just employed that would mean heavy takes more skill to use with skill and has a higher learning curve to get the most out of. Assault takes some skill definitely and pretty much on par with heavy, specialist takes the most by far. Officer however not so much, health buffs, flashbangs to disorient entire groups, disruptor to turn off other peoples guns, a shield to hide in, strongest guns in the form of the SE-44c and Blurrg (2 shot pistol) and of course easier to generate points with. I don't judge anyone for the classes they play and to play any class well takes some measure of skill but Officer is designed to buff themselves/allies and debuff others thereby making them easier targets, I mean let's be honest how easy is it to drop a blaster hero as Officer when you can turn their gun off blind them and hammer them with what is essentially a single handed LMG or a hand cannon either or. That said as to the thread, I get that it's a joke but the classes are pretty equal at the moment with specialist lagging somewhat behind.

The Specialist isn't poor just very situational.

And he really isn't poor with low health but just is with no weapon mods.

Largely depends on Marksman Starcard and Skill.

I even managed 25 kills on Blast and made #1 with him by just running around with the NT and give headshots-on-the-run.
