Potential Default Blaster Attachments

I've been using the default blasters again as I find them much more interesting and wanted a change from using the same usual blasters over and over.

Sadly, I don't use the default blasters much as they feel overlooked and underwhelmed due to not having attachments, yet always still enjoy using them as they really hold up well for blasters with no upgrades (epically for assault and officer) - for anyone that doesn't give all the default blasters a chance they're actually good weapons.

A lot of us want attachments for the default blasters to give us more weapon varieties and options, as well as make those iconic weapons more prominent on the battlefield.

An option to actually choose which default blaster to we want to use (instead of just the same weapon reskinned - I know they're all the same stats for each class) would be great too as blasters are already cross-era.

Here's a potential list of attachments that I think would work well for each classes' default blaster that we could choose to equip (obviously only two attachments is the max per weapon):

Assault:
- Reduced Recoil
- Improved Cooling
- Improved Range

Heavy:
- Improved Cooling
- Improved Zoom
- Reduced Recoil

Officer:
- Reduced Recoil
- Improved Cooling
- Night Vision

Specialist:
- Dual Zoom
- Improved Cooling
- Bolt Speed

  • I agree for the most part. You can't really make attachments specialized for one of the specific weapons, since they'd have to all be the same. Here's my thoughts for each.

Assault is good, though I'd probably say Improved Cooling before Reduced Recoil. Or maybe add in a mod for a RoD increase? Only by 1 or 2 points though.

Heavy I would change Improved Zoom to Tighter Spread, but that's just a personal thing.

Officer is pretty interesting with the Night Vision mod. I haven't used the base Officer pistols for awhile, so I'm not sure how their recoil is, and if they would need Reduced Recoil. So I'll say its fine, but I havent used them in a long time.

Specialist is good as well. I still probably wouldn't use them, but those mods make sense.

I'd love to use some of the default weapons (especially the E-11 and DLT-19), so having mods for them would be really nice.

Yeah they're good options - there's a bunch of different options that can considered. The main thing is that they end up getting attachments.

I love the default blasters /pistols for assault and officer as they look and sound great. Plus, I love those classes. I'm sure so many people want to be able to choose them instead of having the same weapon change skin in each era, seems kinda lazy

Other than the E-11 and DLT-19, I dont care much to use any of the other default blasters much, lol. I know some people will, and it'd be nice for new players to unlock some weapon mods before they get a new weapon.

Don’t think mods are needed on base weapons just need a buff instead but I do have a good one.

Semi-automatic would be cool. New attachments for default blasters isn't something I'm opposed to either. I just think the default blasters are bland because they don't come with attachments; simply buffing them isn't enough and kinda seems unnecessary as their base stats are already quite good

Like they could buff them as if they had all the stats. Then new players would have a gun that is up to par with everyone else.

Also I think the variation (bland) comes from the gun having 6 different types and not needing more variation.

  • I agree with the idea here. You could have one “character” per unit. So a customisable unit for each class. Assault, heavy, officer, spec, each type of enforcers and maybe heroes. Add default blaster variants to the loot boxes (think supply drops on COD Advanced Warfare.) Make loot crates cosmetic only and create tonnes of clothing items and blaster attatchments so we can have different looking people. I really think Advanced Warfare had the best loot box system. There was so much to it and the customisation was epic.

The E-5C for the Droids is actually a really good weapon. I love that gun. But the DC-15LE is an awesome blaster. Ever since I unlocked the first attachment for it I haven't gone back. I think I used the TL-50 maybe for a minute and then switched back to the DC-15LE since it is better in my opinion. It feels like a bigger CR-2. It even beats the CR-2 in close quarters.
