  • We're aware that the progression system is being reworked, and I'm not asking for details about what form that will take because that questions/response would be too long.

    However, a question I've had since launch is regarding duplicate Star Cards rewarding credits instead of Crafting Parts. It was not this way in the beta, and all the press leading up to launch indicated that duplicates would reward parts. The system implemented after beta, giving credits, is what results in the extremely slow grind to upgrade cards and seems to be a holdover from the days when you could purchase Crystals with real money.

    A perfect example of how slowly progression creeps along is shown below. If you want a summary of the video, this YouTuber has 622+ hours on one account and his progression, while significant compared to the average player, is not where someone unfamiliar with this game might expect it to be. He's focused on heroes, has completely ignored Starfighter Assault, and even with 622+ hours and utilizing the most efficient targeted progression available (Hero Crates), he doesn't have more than three Epics for any character, and not even that many on several characters.



    There are a few quick and easy fixes for this as a temporary hotfix prior to the complete overhaul of progression that we're anticipating. One is to reduce the crafting part requirement for Epic tier cards from 480 to something less ridiculous, like 240 (still double the cost of the blue, makes the entire progression chain for a card cost 480 instead of 720). The other is to make duplicates give crafting parts instead of credits - nothing enormous, about 20-40% of what the card is worth would be reasonable. So, 25-50 for blues, 15-30 for greens, 10-15 for whites.

    My question, in the context of what I've written above, is why the decision was made to convert duplicates to credits, and whether we can expect something like what I've described in the preceding paragraph ahead of any permanent progression system changes?

  • I find that without Focused Rage, Darth Vader runs out of stamina with just a couple of skins, only really able to take out maybe 1 or 2 troopers and struggling to take out any Hero. I was wondering if he would get maybe just a little buff in that department just so I could reenact the scene from Rogue One

    Would you ever consider adding "prestige" star cards? Of course they would be called something different.

    By prestige cards I mean like what was done in game "Uncharted 2". See black boosters in link. These were cards/abilities that give increased credit earning at the end of the game (could also be crafting parts for this game), but the downside of these "prestige" cards is that they give players negative sides effects like decreased health, one hit melee death from enemies, your position is constantly broadcast to enemy, no blindfire reticule, so you had to scope in to get an aimer. This would make the game more fun for people already at high level, could help them get cards faster too, also would make it easier for new people to kill higher level people.

    These cards could only be used by people that were at the highest level overall in the game because it makes playing the game more difficult, so lvl 50s.

    I think this is a better alternative than just decreasing crafting parts for star cards. A decrease in crafting parts won't help new people overall because now more people will have everything maxed with better abilities and new people will have a huge learning curve if they purchase the game within the next year or two....or however long this game is intended to be supported now.

  • Is there plans to make more Starfighter maps and different gametypes for Starfighter?
    Are we getting any singleplayer content for starfighter? Something like survival mode, planetary bombard, capital ship duel etc.

    Starfighter is my most favorite game mode, but it doesn't really have much variations between maps. Only one map in planetary atmosphere. I would love to see more maps in atmospheres and a lot more different ship types.
  • Is there a plan on the release of the customisation system? Will it come out as a big update or will it get a season dedicated to it?
  • Any plans for a voting system? I.e for voting for a map after a match or vote kicking an idle/afk player
  • Is the single player going to be expanded upon (not necessarily Iden's story but maybe something else?)?
  • Any possibility of a Galactic Conquest style game mode from the original BF2, where we have spawn points and need to capture enemy spawn points?

    1. Vehicles, for example N-1 Starfighter, cloud car, Rogue-class starfighters, tie defender and B-wings were to be added into Starfighter assault, would they be added as reinforcements, an extra class, or both?
    2. Is the tie advanced v1 going to be a Inquisitor hero vehicle or a reinforcement?

  • Can we please get news on season two, or at least the heroes being added for the season?

    Hello there! I have a couple of questions for you.

    1. What happened to the Space to ground combat?

    2. Will you nerf the LAAT again. P.S the last game i was bossk at Kashyyk and it shot me down at the spawn.

    3. Is Conquest Mode coming?

    4. Are you going to add a panel where you can see which hero is my favourtie, favourite blasters and etc. ( like in the beta)

    I wanted to add a small addendum to this. There were Legendary cards in the beta that improved slightly on the functionality of Epics. Presumably, those are still in the game files somewhere but have been disabled. If it's necessary to have a massive time sink for a progression grind, that should be where it is. 480 credits or more for Legendaries is acceptable to me.

  • Could we maybe see a class with a deployable droid? Like an R2 unit or a Probe Droid?
  • Do you know if there will be more game modes offline? Like could galactic conquest be in this game for capturing a command post and assault mode like heroes vs villains offline for single player? Also are there going to be more planets added and maps offline like what Xbox live has? I want to see the theed hangar for Naboo added for offline as one of the maps besides the royal palace. Are they going to be more characters added to the game like General Grievous, Obi Wan Kenobi, Padme, Mace Windu, Jyn Erso, Count Dooku, Jango Fett, Anakin Skywalker, Ki Adi Mundi, Aayla Securla and others?

    (1) Starfighter Assault is awesome. Are there plans to regularly introduce new maps for it?

    (2) Are there any plans to tweak the classic TIE interceptor? A lot of people have expressed frustration over its quick overheat from the simultaneous fire.

    (3) Any plans to add bombers for the Sequel Trilogy era? Those maps feel a little less interesting with fewer varieties of ships.

  • (1) Are there plans to give players more control over the maps/servers they play on?

    (2) Any plans to adjust the *economy* of the game (credit payouts) to discourage AFK, rather than simply relying on AFK "detection"? (The current detection system often fails.)

    (3) Are stats ever going to make it into the game menu? There are plenty of legitimate reasons players may want to see their stats; e.g. tracking improvement within a trooper class.

    Are more game modes on the horizon? At this stage in time on SWBF1 we had more modes. I miss Cargo and would love to see it return.

    Are you thinking of altering the spawn time? For me it is a game killer!
  • Can we please get some of the HvV only maps (Theed Hangar, etc.) added to blast & arcade mode at some point?

    Are there plans to implement private matches? For SWBF2015 I played in numerous Xbox tournaments orchestrated through Reddit. The inability to orchestrate tournaments for Battlefront II has severely dampened my experience of the game thus far. I'm not expecting private matches for Galactic Assault or Starfighter Assault, but just being able to play HvV and Blast in a private match would be huge for those of us who want to be able to have tournaments

    Can you please give players more options to change the HUD?

    Toggle on/off and/or a fader for:
    Star Card abilities
    Players names above heads
    Player icons above heads
    Radar
    Health bar
    Etc.

    I've seen posts concerining HUD customization since Battlefront One, but no answers and very very little change.
    Please make it happen.

    There is a bug I reported at December that did not solved. Same problem have reported by 56 other players. When will it be fixed?

    The problem is duplicate star card from crates did not give any credit. Including daily and celebration crates. I actually fed up from waiting. I have 250k credits to waiting.

  • Will Officer be reworked in any way ?

    In the current meta, officer is THE class to use to get tons of points, will you nerf him / boost other classes about Battle Points earning ?

    Officers are supposed to support their mates, which they do greatly, but they can also easily rush ennemies on their own or 1v1 almost any starting class with their weapons and buffs. Don't you think it would be better if officers couldn't buff themselves ? Class would still be a good support, yet less agressive, leaving this role to soldiers
    • How much prequel content can we expect? (Which we know you guys will since a majority of players are asking for it). Can we expect more than just 2 new heroes and a single map since the prequel trilogy contains an abundance of iconic characters and locations?
    • Will we get any new game types? Hero Hunt, 1v1 Hero vs Villain, Conquest?
    • The modding community has created some fantastic looking skins for normal troopers, heroes, villains, starfighters etc.. Will we get newer skins for any of those mentioned whether it's through crates, credits, or parts? Because honestly if modders can create skins than it should be fairly easy for you guys to produce them and more customization is always better than just leaving us with Han Solo with a beard.
    • Private matches with friend(s)?
    • New enforcers?
    • New guns?
    • Increase level cap? I miss receiving more credits when leveling up.
    • New vehicles such as the droid NR-N99, droid STAP, clone AT-TE?
    • Some people found out that two people can be on a speeder bike at once. Will you guys add more teamwork with vehicles in the future?

  • Can the respawn timer be set to 5 seconds instead of 10?

  • In the film, The Last Jedi, DJ showed us plans on the hologram projector for a TIE bomber and a true TIE Interceptor-type First Order craft. Will we get those in Starfighter Assault?
  • I don't know if you guys would be able to do this but it would be nice to have a zombie infestation mode like the original battlefront 2 but I don't expect you would be able to get it into online but just in arcade would be amazing enough but overall just some more modes for arcade because not everyone has the subscriptions for online multiplayer on console, Thanks.
  • Why do you even have a player rank level cap? Why not just allow that ranking to go all the way up to 999?

    Every player rank can just be 245,400 score forever. I’m not sure why games put constraints on player levels or rankings.

    I say, why even have a cap at all? and if it’s required by the program for some reason, then make it ridiculously high like 999 or something. Heck even 9,999. It’d be funny if and when someone actually gets that high in player rank with it set at such a ridiculous amount :-)
  • Can we expect to see Clone Wars characters, namely Rex and Ahsoka, sometime in the future. They're very popular and beloved characters, and I think leaving them out would be a mistake
  • Can the maps from the single player campaign be added to the game in some form? Clearly maps have already been made and the layout is complete already since they were used in the single player campaign. You could keep them the same as what we saw in single player for ease of conversion.
    Maybe Vardos for Galactic Assault?
    Bespin for Starfighter Assault?
    Scarif, Sullust and Pillio for Strike, Blast and HvV?
  • Can you look into the story mission collectables glitch when I first played the story mode i collected a few of the collectables. Then I went back to collect the rest of them it doesn't say that i did on the milestones page.
  • 1. Can we expect any changes to the spawn system (chooseable spawnpoints or squad machanics)?
    2. Will you add more game modes? Don't get me wrong GA, SA, HvS and Strike are fun, but we need more variety. Conquest would be great, but it can only work with other spawn machanics).

    4. What about the customization? The Star Wars franchise is full with possible skins for every fraction and hero, even for some starfighters.
    5. Will the microtransactions ever return? And how? With Customization?

  • Hello, i also have some questions about this amazing game!

    1) Why are droids being affected by gas ??

    2) Will we see clone wars coming to SWBFII ??

    3) Can we please, DICE please, get clone customisation ??

    4) Will Galactic Conquest be a potential mode ??

    Regarding this: i thought about this mode and here is my idea:
    4.1. Vital information/person has been stolen during an attack on a base and has been brought to a destroyer in space.
    The mission is to retrieve the information by first defeating the soldiers on the ground that attacked the base and that were covering the ship with the stolen information.
    4.2. After they defeated these soldiers they must run towards their fighters and chase the enemy ship holding the information into space towards the destroyer. When they arrived at the destroyer they must fight off teh enemy fighters and make there way inside the destroyer.
    4.3. After entering the destroyer it is their job to secure and recapture the information/person and escape alive.

    Possible extra threats in outer space are solar storms, comet fields or storms...

    5) Can you give us more information about the content of the DLC seasons ??

  • Is there any chance we'll see a credit increase? I know they were already increased but grinding to get crates to get crafting parts to get full epics still takes days.
