    Try homing shot.

Too easily dodged. Maybe he should try Rey, Finn, or Yoda and help his team with those heroes.

Its about as valid as these other suggestions, like sneaking into enemy worlds and creeping up on a floating spinning lightning dispensing regenerating space wizard.

In all seriousness, and as much as I was as enjoying myself in this thread, hes obviously broken and all these comments about how easy he is to kill are mostly nonsense. Any halfway competent player is guaranteed to stay alive throughout the whole match when playing as palps. Ive played him once since I went on went a couple of 80-90 kill streaks with him, and that was in a desperate attempt to win a couple of points against a team of people, obviously in a party, who were annihilating us. I was the only player on my team with plus 20/kills and the rest were on about 7..and even with their whole team focused on me and with little backup they still couldn't kill me (even when one of my chain lightnings glitched out in a pivotal position)

So yeah anyway, game is very tedious until he's fixed.

I kid you not, I was on Yavin, I was a WW, and in the control room I was throwing nades, spaming the overload, shooting him in the air, and he would fall back too far for me to chase, and come in, and we'd do it all over again. About 4 rounds of this.

Wth is "A Palpatine" I've been hearing that a lot lately

A Palpatine is a genetically enhanced offshoot of the Plantain fruit that is grown in Central America. Scientist developed this fruit to thrive in harsh environments such as Mars for the first exploratory mission. Not only can it provide nutritional value to the mission its ability to harness and shoot electricity thru the air much like the Late Emperor Palpatine is where it gets it name.

Yeah I mean which other hero can take that kind of damage. Wider point about wookiees being still too op aside

I remember comments from dice about how a few co ordinated troopers should be able to take down a hero, and about how heroes were meant to move with their team in order to be utilised correctly and it generally works that way for most, and its great, but this new sheev doesn't care about all that

I hope they don't ruin him with the next patch as I look forward to using him again

headshot take his health out pretty fast

ALSO one thing I'm seeing WAY TOO OFTEN on consoles is YODA and FINN , not buffing the health of other heroes.

If you happen to be new to this game and happen to get YODA or Finn , PLEASE buff other heroes. Especially if it's Han or Rey or anyone.

Seeing this way too often lately.

As Yoda I will often follow Rey or Han around and try to keep their health up.

This can go a long way into giving Rey a chance to catch PapSmear off guard.

Also buff front line troops , don't fall back and admire the pretty graphics.

If there are no other heroes but you as Yoda try to focus on buffing WW.

Heroes staying together can take out PalpyTits pretty fast.

That's nuts. I spam Yoda and Finn's health buff every chance I get.
  • I beat him yesterday as Rey, but it was seriously a group effort. I was playing with level 4 insight and mind control cards. I used insight, which revealed the hiding Palp to my team, and then mind control right away. This immobilized him a bit, and gave my team's assaults and heavys a chance to weaken him. Some officer gave me a recharge buff, so I mind controlled him again (and of course the minions that were hanging around with him). So then he was at about 1/3 health or so and then I charged in with my light saber and managed to take him down with a few additional saber whacks. Another officer gave me a health buff in the middle of that, so I managed to survive, but I probably would have died without that buff.
  • Well in HvV you can do this...

Joking aside. Aim for head, he jumps a lot for sure, but it's pretty easy to take him out with ranged in HvV. You don't need chewy.

  • It is generally a group effort unless the other player is bad. That’s the thing with heroes though, they aren’t meant to be solo-ed by a regular trooper, otherwise they would all have 200 hp and no one would bother playing them. Teamwork (as rare as it is) is required.

Eh, with enough practice, you can 180 and dodge out of there while fully blind, provided you don’t get stuck in stuff too much

  • Finn is a very strong counter to him. I've been choosing him every game now to counter Palp players and Finn is just good in general.
  • No idea???? I get shocked and die in 3 seconds everytime. Get a few shots off on him and roll around while being shocked. End of story
  • Imo there are way too many uptight basement dwellers. Every discussion devolves into calling each other names and I’m right you’re wrong blah blah blah. Why is this? I think most need a life with a wife girlfriend dog kids outdoors etc. I thought the forums were to discuss the **** game. Yeah the game frustrates me to at times. It is a release for a few hours not my entire existence. So yeah it has been disappointing so far hopefully only gets better. I started the last bf real late and that was my first online late and that was my first online shooter ever. I enjoyed it more than this one so far but this one is harder by a long ways. So for all the losers out there get a damn job. Done. Hit agree if ur with me and we will see how many have an outside life or not??

    I am intrigued

Not a perfect solution because Palpatine is currently OP and sometimes killing him is just impossible if the right player is using him. However, Palpatine does have trouble killing turrets set by officers and heavies. Additionally, his lightning glitches out at close range and sometimes doesn’t do damage, so I like to sprint my specialist right up to him and start punching him (with the right star cards of course). You gotta sneak up on him though. Might waste a few tickets but hell, killing Palpatine is a big W in GA.
  • If you have savvy team mates then the combined firepower of two or three troopers is an effective way to kill him. The trouble is usually half your squad run away from him, while the other half are somehow oblivious to his whereabouts.

    That simple eh
  • I literally brought him down to the likes of 10 or 14 hp on my own several times with LOTS of teammates around me. He kills me, I respawn, he's back to 700 hp.

IF people would actually at least TRY to shoot him instead of turning around, pointlessly running away and dying in that instant, he wouldn't be that big of a problem.

People don't even bother to shoot him or aren't focused enough or whatever. It is so annoying. It. Is. Annoying. Annoying.

Console Players have Aim-Assist and the like which increases the odds of them hitting anything. It's no doubt that aiming on Console Vs. PC is painfully slow and clunky

Palpatine relies on excessive dodging and turning around. With a Joy-Stick and a far off button that doesn't lie comfortably below your thumb like with a Key-Board playing as Palpatine is far harder then on PC

    That's the simple reason

Not really variances in tactics but simply because it's far harder to aim on Console and even move around. Also only 2.5 Percent of the Population has defeated 150 People with Sentry

    So yeah

Agreed mate , its definitely the most effective tactic and something I've had some joy with.

I've noticed a few players getting blase with palps, obviously due to how easy he is to play as, so they have put themselves in poor positions and easy to counter with Finn

Wait for him to start electrocuting your long lost son, then throw him into the reactor of the nearest Death Star.
