You consumers are so weak expecting things to be done when the people you buy from say it will be. Geez, be patient. I bought a house 3 months ago and sure the plumbing don't work and they keep saying they are coming SOON to fix it but I'm not complaining. The rest of the house is nice.
  • Then clearly Disney does not finance your mortgage.
  • Require battle points to play as officer. Make it an enforcer unit. Heck it can solo wookies and death troopers..lol
  • When there is no patch and my Luke remains meh.

EA I don't want 40 players in the game.I want 64 players in Star wars Battlefront 3 and I MEAN IT! 20 V 20 is trash.

You should get started on getting licensed through Disney to make your own game then. Just because YOU want something you entitled tool, doesn't mean everyone does.

To be fair he did say star wars battle front 3. Who knows when that's coming out?

Although I'd buy it because I'm a star wars fan. I'll tell you this, if they carry over the balance from this game to swbf3 they can make a killing in game revenue.

Are you saying you can't pee and poop in your own house going on 3 months now?

Sure he can. Just not in the bathroom.

  • Fake Dice, are you aiming for the game to be complete by the time Battlefield 2018 releases? Because that qualifies as a self-destruct sequence...
  • I went online today to play a match in Galactic Assault and this game is really dieing i mean totally dieing. Strike/no players/GA/no players/Blaster/no players. the only thing you could play was heroes vs villians.
DICE you better hurry up with the update or you will lose this game for ever.

  • If BF1 just got an update - sorry, that being Battlefield 1 - then the odds of the BF2 - that being Battlefront 2 (this company has an issue with names and numbers i tell ya) - getting an update on the same date is unlikely...maybe a few days and we'll get an update and then the patch. Just a guess.

The Dev teams for these two games are different, all under the same umbrella but both working on their respective games. I seriously doubt their patching schedules relate at all to one another.
  • This game is dead. Death of games is why we need offline content.

Not sure what platform you're on but on Xbox - no, it's not.

PC sold the fewest copies of all the platforms, but the true root of the problem is there are flaws in the matchmaking system that relate to filling lobbies and finding/joining games when grouped with friends.

  • 40 People what are you talking about? 40 players are trash and everybody knows it .64 players is better than 40 players you'll see.
  • If EA produces another Star wars battlefront game IM NOT PLAYING IT!
  • EA, i want Star wars battlefront 3 to include 64 players a Galactic massive warfare instead of spawning into a TIE Fighter we can get inside the TIE fighter and fly it far away with more space. that will be SO SICK! WHOO?
  • WHOO!
  • Would you play a game called Tourette's if EA made it?

Aren’t you supposed to get an inspector to look at the house before you buy it so you don’t get scammed?

  • I keep wondering if this patch will have any surprises like the last one. The N-1 Starfighter as a Hero Ship? First Order TIE Bomber/Resistance Y-Wing? Starfighter Assault for Arcade, barring that, Starfighter Battle/Starfighter Onslaught for Arcade? AI for Special Units in Arcade?

I'm hoping for this as well :)

My whole game just closed because a new Origin update is available, really.... Doesn't even give me a chance to finish my killstreak as Luke. I was on my favorite map too(Endor), I grinded through 3 maps just to have my game close on my favorite map because an Origin update was available....REEE. I wouldn't mind if it was you know, the patch, but instead its an Origin update which I don't care about.

Please just be patient, be respectful, and stop talking to the devs like they're your personal interns that you don't give a **** about. Good patches take time. And really, they don't owe you anything anyway, so you should be grateful that they're even working on these patches and on new content, however long it takes.

If you're so over the game, please just leave quietly. Nobody cares how disproportionately upset you are.

Good one. BUT this is business. Consumers will drop even more. The customer is always right. B)

TBH, with the new model of MMOs, they do owe us something. They will often release incomplete products knowing most everyone has an internet connection so the game can be patched as bugs are discovered. We are the alpha testers, beta testers, gamma testers, etc. If they did a full test and released a completed product, I would agree, they wouldn't owe us anything. But that's not what happened, is it?

That's why I was upset so many people cried about the MTX. They are a crucial part of the business model now because MMOs require something that previous generations didn't need: servers. LOTS of servers. And the power to run them, the space to store them, and the people to maintain them. MTX pay for those rather nicely, without needing a subscription model.

EA was going to do this community a solid and release all the DLC for free (and still are). But killing the MTX changed the income stream for the game so now we are seeing the ramifications of the "unfair pay-to-win" complaints. But it is incorrect to assume EA doesn't owe us anything. They do owe us a functional version of the game we paid for. Right now we don't have that. Hopefully when the patch is released, it will correct a lot of the bugs. Then the MTX can be re-implemented and we can see improved support. Hopefully.

People only feel entitled to what’s been promised. For a game advertised as a live service, the service has been incredibly lackluster. The devs continue to apologize and offer better service in the future, so even they admit they’re in the wrong. They promise us patches in 2 weeks. Then 4. These aren’t things the “entitled” masses pull from thin air. These are blueprints that THEY gave to US.

All of this is exacerbated by the barebones communication given. So when these promises are all the community has to work with and then they’re broken, then of course people will be upset. Stop addressing perfectly reasonable frustration like it’s all trivial whining. Maybe some of it is drivel, but much of the criticism is perfectly valid.

The devs are in the wrong here. They made the deadlines, and then they broke them. The player base hasn’t come up with arbitrary dates using their imaginations. Not everyone you disagree with is a kid, by the way. Stop acting so superior because you’re fine with the game as is. The rest of us just want what was advertised when we spent our money on this product.

I sincerely think it's time we accept they'll always be the same no matter what they promise, and that the SW gaming world for now won't be as fulfilling as we want it to.

Let go of all expectations and desires regarding this game, it's causing nothing but frustration and misery.

It'll probable reach it's pinnacle in a year, like the last game. It's getting really old this trend of releasing train wrecks, paying to endure the suffering of hoping it gets better.

Right franchise in the wrong hands.

Im really not a fan of the "buffing" and "nerfing" , but the palpatine pros have become really annoying , just finished a game , player got the palp early first phase , final numbers were 128 eliminations and a 58,000 score, completely rediculous.......The team was trying to kill him and we did actually almost win , finished out the game but quit that group after.

The game is quite functional. There are a couple of imbalances and bugs, and they are being fixed. Nothing game breaking. Are you saying the fact that there a couple bugs or that the patch is taking longer than initially predicted that this entitles people to be rude, disrespectful, and throw tantrums?
  • Do you guys vote for 64 players or 40 players in Star wars Battlefront 3? do you agree with me?

It is trivial whining though. It really is. You just sound like a whiny little brat, talking about what a video game company "owes" you. Nobody OWES you a patch just because Emperor Palpatine is really powerful, or because Luke could use a buff. The devs are doing this because they want the game to be better, not because they owe you perfection.

The devs are not "wrong" because they missed a forecasted release date. The patches will be complete when they're ready to go, and not a minute sooner. Have you ever worked on a project in your entire life? Do you not understand that preliminary forecasted timelines are not always feasible? Do you not understand how something as complex as patching a video game might turn out to be slightly more complicated and involved than predicted?

Basically I'm just telling you to act like an adult that has at least a glimmer of how the real world works, and be patient, and respectful. Throwing words like "wrong" or "owe" around, is just melodramatic, juvenile, and rude.
