How to play HvV correctly.

It's sad because when I play HvV I only focus on winning, But my team mates doesn't, here are IMPORTANT FACTS.

0. Kylo can be uses as a suicidal hero, On some maps you can freeze the target and jump to a cliff you'll die and pull the target

1. If you are the target, run from enemy or delay them as much as you can

2. If you are not the target, only attack enemy team's target. Fighting anyone else is a waste of time and more potential your target will die.

3. Never defend your own target, you lose more potential to kill the enemy target and nothing will be accomplished by defending

4. If you're about to become target (gold number countdown) leave all fights and get in a better position

5. If you're about to become target and cant get out of a fight in time for countdown, try to die before countdown in order for another teammate to be chosen as target and get a better position.

6. If you pick Finn, your only objective is to ruin Boba's day

7. If the enemy team is also "playing smart", use Kylo, Chewie, or Lando to lock down Target

8. Dont play Yoda (I know he has his fans, but in his current state I really dont see him bringing anything to the table that another hero cant do better) Hes great in GA, just hate him on HvV

So you're saying I should always play Finn and jump off a ledge when I see Kylo.

    Got it. Thanks!

I mean using kylo, see the target, Freeze it, jump and pull it.

I haven't IRL LOL'd on this forum in a long time, if ever, so I thank you.

Also, thanks to the OP for the tips. Some I actually needed. Be careful with jumping off the edge on Kamino, especially as Vader. Half the time, you land on a walkway below, and Vader is so floaty that unless you jump off as soon as the timer starts, he'll be floating through the air, looking at his watch, and the timer still has enough time to count down to zero before you die, accomplishing the exact opposite of what you were going for, and costing your team a point.

Why wouldn't you defend your own target? It generally leads to you being able to attack the person attacking them unhindered. If anything I would think it makes sense to escorts your target closer to the enemy target so everyone can jump on them at once. If your target isn't defending and gets jumped by two others you're going to lose the point.

You shouldn't defend them if you are on Light side, unless you are using Leia, on dark side you can.

Umm, that’s completely wrong. You should defend blasters as the Light Side and work your way to their target together.

You don’t need to defend as the Dark Side.

How you play HvV correctly is:

Pick Iden Versio, Darth Vader, or Palatine as Dark Side and wreck house. Or you can pick Boba Fett and fly across the map in 3 seconds so you easily deny the enemy some points.

Step 2: Quit before you become the other team.

If you don't use Yoda in HvV, it's only gonna get harder for the Light Side to win. That IS actually an incorrect way to play right there.

This is like a combination of how to play both correctly and incorrectly.

I agree. Please do not endlessly run if you are the target. Play defensive, sure, but seriously don’t be this person.... I’ve also seen some amazing Yoda players in HvV, so can’t agree with that either. I also don’t understand why you wouldn’t defend your own target.

I might simply suggest playing the video game, it’s pretty fun if you give it a try!

Lol that Kylo method is more like trolling than actually playing. I recommend to harsh pull to your group, freeze to set them up for your team mates. Once freeze wears off only then start frenzy. Kylo is just a support character and not offensive. Before you die do as much damage as you can so you get a assist score on the way out.

And yes when you see you will be the target, retreat and look for your team mates on the radar asap or a higher ground where you can't be cornered easily or be pushed off.

I also recommend to change star card based on maps with pitfalls...load up the push cards for Luke, Yoda, Maul etc. And in tight corridors the shocks droid, traps etc for blaster users.

Without a party I play as Rey w/ both Insight cards and chase any kills in general.

Also you should always defend a blaster hero, Saber ones can usually manage themselves longer than blaster. Sometimes I leave the target for just a moment and poof they die.

A health boost from Yoda will give your target a few more seconds to live, which might be enough time for someone else to kill the V-Target. Yoda is the white mage and

I really disagree about Yoda, with the proper star cards he can deal more damage then Vader, and with the 8% damage reduction, he's a pretty sturdy little guy.

If you know how to kite as him / ambush, he's one of the best in the game.

    Everything here is wrong.

    1. Ignore the OP
    2. Don't attack the attack targets.
    3. Meet in the middle and grind xp
    4. Repeat until multiple heroes levelled to max

This is the only good thing about HvV

I have honestly seen better games made by companies with 1/1000th of the budget and resources, how can a game be worse almost 1 year after launch than it was when it started./center]

Good one. I like both Vader and Yoda but I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that Vader is king when it comes to melee combat there is no comparison there. Yoda is better in his utility and speed and small size with descent damage but he most certainly doesn't have better damage than Vader.

  • Also a good tip for any force users, especially the Luke's and Yoda's. If I stun an enemy, don't hit or force push them out of it right away. Obviously sometimes it's just poor timing from both of us, but this can be a bit annoying.

A couple more tips for the Lukes and Yodas of the galaxy:

Don't make push the first thing you do every time, and don't revolve your entire offense around pushing.

  • Point 3: 3 **** running away and leaving your target to die while you pointlessly chase Boba or Maul around the map is a great way to lose a quick point.
