He knew.
Back in the days of Battlefront 2 (2005) some servers of Hero Assault would have team kill on and admins would make it free for all. I'd really like a free for all mode with heroes and for once no reliance on team play so I could get hammered while playing and don't feel bad for my team, haha. But I can see the problem it would cause with clans wrecking random players and stuff like that, and since most people seem to hate free for all I don't really see that mode coming to life.
What were they thinking?
Yup that's what the concept says
Bf2017 HvV on the other hand lack of tactics and a childlike mode
Oppps.
I’d say 50%, but I wouldn’t mind it being added.
Xbox G-tag
That Specialist rework was disappointing.
I didn't like having rounds of only being a trooper (in the old mode) and I didn't like the fact a lot of times heroes would just hide while infantry hunt and take down the heroes. Made the gameplay a little stale when heroes were hiding the whole time.
That being said, I'm not crazy about the current mode with selecting a new target.
I could be alone with this, but I think a CS:GO style version where once you die you wait until next round. If the timer was short enough it wouldnt be a long wait until next round. This would also make it more competitive IMO.
But with it being Star Wars, I could see people not liking this idea.
TL;DR
Like new mode better. Would like a combination of the two, honestly. Round based, with NO infantry.
If you read this concept, you'd realize that you'd start as a hero every round and only become infantry upon death.
Yeah ragdolling mechanic is semi cool but not the stuns. It's as if Dice knows people like HvV the most and try to force them to not play it as much.

No, absolutely not! There are enough beat-downs with the infantry if you're not careful on GA. There are too many ways to die as it is. Heroes vs. Villains should remain just the Hero characters only.
In the previous SWBF the objective was approached with team-effort and everyone was a fundamental piece. Infantry was important because they would serve the purpose to lure the enemy into your ground or to create a diversion so you could finish them off. And if you were a good player, you could get your fair share of kills.
So yes, I would be very interested in playing the 2015 HvV, even more than the new one.
Totally off topic but since the patch - i CANNOT Bossk and before i would beast - need help and am completely aggravated all the way around - spent round after round trying to sort out why in HvV i could dominate before and now am the assist kill king - aaaaargh! HELP?!?!?
Me too!

Good idea!
If you read my comment, you'd know I wouldn't want that either.
Yeah we know some are scared of it. Just don't play it.
Exactly
"Scared"
No more button bashing wo consequences lol
The strategy was the best. It is a button mash fest now. Wouldn't be so bad if the mechanics were great
Even lightsaber combat was more strategic, even the fact it was more clunky. You couldn't just spam block because: a)timer b) good player would break it with heavy in a second. Here it's, as you said, button mash fest without any strategy but run/camp.
Hero Hunt is also a mode people are scared of. Remember most of playerbase struggled to get 10 wins for that milestone
The biggest problem is the ability to respawn...meaning death is not a big deal....so everyone just goes in head first mashing the buttons, on BF2015 you had to be tactical cos if you died as the hero you respawn as infantry....was so much better
#makeHvVgreatagain
I don't really see how that mode would become less "button mashing" though, although that description of the current HvV is definitely an overexaggeration in my eyes anyways. But in order to balance out that, they will have to balance HvV gameplay in general, helping blaster heroes against lightsaber heroes a bit. Reverting the roll to the way it was before patch 1.2 though is no solution in my opinion.
The elimination style made you feel more important as a hero. The new one sadly doesn't have that effect.
*slowly moves mouth to ear and whispers bump*
Lets hope
Ewok Hunt was based off a tweet.
