Giving the specialist 150 health would almost be a DLC drop in itself.
Hi, thank you all for coming.
I am writing this to you all from the bottom of my heart, you should know that as I sit here typing, that my heart is full of joy, and there is a perpetual song of joy and glee radiating in the innermost parts of my soul. And as these words flow from my heart into this thread, I feel the need to tell you that I have to occasionally stop to wipe the tears of unmitigated happiness from thine eyes. Hope you all can say the same. But anyways, let's rap
Ever since the start of this game, I have always loved the specialist. I was one of the few people that dropped cheddar on this game when it first came out, and I put almost all of it into specialist. There's just something about ripping a giant green bolt through the enemies smug face, and watching them hit the deck instantly while contemplating why they ever started gaming. It holds a special place in my hearty heart heart. But as I became more knowledgeable of the weapons and the muscle memory of the guns, I wanted to start making my playstyle more aggressive, I noticed that the specialist has some huge weaknesses that are inexcusable in my opinion. For starters, there is the starcards. The specialist really doesn't have that many that are good for cqc. The timers on the useful infiltration variants are far too punishing, and are therefore never used by players with at least one eye and half a brain if they want to be competitive. Sure the melee bubble build in fun to mess around with, but it's hardly a competitive class choice of you're trying to chase the leaderboard. Now some people are going to say "bruh, you can place first, you just have to be gg 420/365/24/7/mlg/getRekt/turntUP like me. And I will agree on some maps it is easy to place first. Sure you can get 30-50kills in just the first phase on maps like jakku, hoth, and Crait, but it's hardly consistent, it is so much easier to do that with any of the other class choices on literally every single map. And I think that negatively impacts the game as a whole. Having 100 health just makes almost every single specialist player a hill-humper, that is rarely an attribute to the team.
I see no reason to have the health set to 100, it might be a little harder to take out the hill-humpers. But who cares? I can't even remember the last time I was taken out by a headshot (or at all) by one of those scrubs. The guns require a lot more skill in close range than other classes, and infiltration is hardly good enough to warrant such low health in cqc when the assualt has vanguard, which is better in almost every single way besides marking enemies on the minimap.
Giving the specialist 150 health like other base classes would open up so many possibilities, and would pretty much be giving us PTFO players a brand new viable class to choose from.
What are your guy's thoughts? I would love to at least know from the devs the reasoning behind the lower health, so that I could at least maybe justify it a little more in my mind. Because as if stands, it makes no sense to me.
Anyways, stay real folks.
Sincerely a joyful yet sad panda specialist

the c280cfe is too powerfull, better than a blurg combine this with infiltration or bubble shield .... NO ...
the specialist should stay a specialist....
Anything is better than nothing
❤❤ I fear for this generation.
Agree.
Might as well just play assault then with the EL.
Most people asking for the bump in health for the specialists are those that hang in the back on nearly every map sniping. Though not every map is conducive to sniping, so they get forced to move with the pack. This breaks the playstyle they are used to. Therefore, it must need to be buffed. It can't possibly be the failure to adapt to the strengths of the class in close quarters situations.
There are quite a few specialist players that dominate the medium to close range play style, and it is all skill. I think it is one of the hardest classes to use in that regard as I find that in order to succeed, you have to fight against your natural instincts. Those that are good at it get my praise. Those that hang back and snipe, and complain that the specialist isn't good in close quarters should put more time in. I'm not saying I can do it, specialist is not my class choice, but really, it comes down to the skill of the player, and specialist, to be good and not a back of the map camper, requires the most skill of any other class.
I don't play blast so I cannot give an opinion on specialist there. But I have hundreds and hundreds of hours into GA, and I could probably count on one hand the amount of times I've seen a specialist top the leaderboard. That to me, is not a sign of balance.
They most likely topped as a hero by the end of the match if they were good and moving with the group. Hanging at the back up playing duck hunt doesn't, and shouldn't get you much. Good specialists are hard to come by.
Noooooooooo. Infiltration was WAYYYYYYYY Imba dude. Do you not remember the meta? Everyone used hardened infiltration, resourceful, and stealth. Just straight up endless 1 taps. Specialists everywhere.
No thanks.

Now that I think about it...the specialist is due for a buff. I mean, we;ve gone through the phases of people complaining about assaults and the CR2 and vanguard. Heavy with SCS and the DCLE. Officers with the blurgg and BP farming. Logically, the specialist would be next. And then...dare I say...there would be no classes left to argue about. There have already been complaints about each enforcer class, each hero, each vehicle, all being OP in some way or another. Specialist would be the last. It would be the end.....of it all.....
I had a 18/0 game 2 or 3 days ago, in like 3 minutes.
Edit: Oh and he should get Assists to encourage Scramble Infiltration.
Okay maybe besides infiltration.
Here my 18/0 KD Vid and how to play:

Ah the CFE wo mods is indeed bad.
It could/should be 2 burst by default, but remain 3 w mod.

Looks like my typical warm up when I use my kneecaps to move the joysticks.
If you are better...then why do you believe the specialist is disadvantaged? If you have proven yourself that a "buff" is not needed because you are so good, why are you begging for health increases?
The need for health buffs says one of two things.
1. You are playing at the back of the map and not moving
2. You are trying to play a skilled specialist (mid-range/close quarters) and not doing well
Both of which put the fault on the player and not the design.
You see, @joachimeberhard showed he is good. He is not putting you down. And is providing evidence that the specialist doesn't need this additional help. Meanwhile, whether in jest or not, you choose to downplay his play stating that you are better, but who here is asking for a buff?
I am asking for a buff to the cards, which are lacking severely. Moving some of the cards and adding functions to them would make them a better class.

The card buffs, I agree with. There are only a couple of viable cards to use and you see the same loadout on everyone because of that.
The specialist has great weapons and the amount of health it has is indicative of its role. I know you can play well, and aren't about to go putting people down. The buff you are asking for is far different than a buff to make the class essentially long range assault.
Yeah, I would only consider buffing the health to 125 as a last resort. Otherwise I want the cards reworked, a viable sidearm, a more useful grenade, and Trip mines on the other side.
Though how are you doing? I haven't seen you on the forums in a while!

That I can live with lol!
I agree with the card buffs as well. Makes sense since for the most part they do not function/if at all. Giving the cards a rework/upward adjustment in performance would be a great and much needed thing for Specialist.

The ***l? Whatever works best for the Specialist is a-okay for all gaming platforms.

He is asking a health buff so that he can have a go for another shot before dying on console. With this ttk can't you foresee what it will cause on pc? Widowmakers abound.
Exactly this. Thread finished.
