Reduce Damage To Heroes From Trooper Melee By 50% And Remove Melee Stun

I have now seen melee at it's worse. A full party boosting them that literally all just run around meleeing using the Vanguard ability to run around and just melee. It was stuupid and OP beyond belief. You can't get away because the stun from melee prevents you from moving or shooting or even meleeing back. so the enemy, even if you get him down to 1% will kill a hero because the hero is frozen and can't move and these guys did it all match it was stuupid. Completely remove it and the insane damage amounts and have it at 50% lesser against heroes. They realize shooting is not as easy as just run up and melee and all I got were groups of people just doing this no skill spam melee. Reduce the damage to hero by 50% and remove stun affect from melee against hero is suffice and should be in the next update.

    This is how I am killed as Palp and it ruined my never ending kill streak. It's not fair that my OP ranged hero has been taken down by melee. Needs removed. -Fixed

    Wait, Sgt F, aren't you always the person that tells everyone to get better and figure out a way to not use the heavy SCS, just deal with damage from the Blurrg, just gang up on Palp to kill him, etc? Take your own advice and figure out a counter instead of asking for a nerf.

    Is this thread a joke? Cuz it sure is funny! If anything though, the melee actually is the best grade of lame sauce I ever had. Seriously the sluggishness of the animation for it is disgraceful.

    it doesn't matter if the animation is "lame" the stun affect makes the person frozen so they can't long enough to get the next one is so you are just perma frozen like a chewie shock nade that never ends. you can't dodge, roll, etc. That's op since even chewie's nade has a time limit and cooldown. vs the amount of time the stun affect goes away in a melee, you can melee again, making them permanently frozen in place.

    Again, you either die a hero or live live long enough to watch your team lose because you are filthy scrub players. As Jonathan Pie would say "Be A Better Person" stop letting your teammates down.

    I tried, even when having to carry my entire lazy teammates. enemy heroes play the game too safe and will never move up until the entire rest of their team does. So its impossible. I even get close and a CR2 melts a wookiee in 1 second. its impossible to get close to any of them. Will need to reduce the amount to 10. If anyone supposedly already did it, great for them i guess. but this is way too high for something way to trivial.
    Future milestones should go like this "can the person creating these challenges do them in a week?" if he can't or get even close, he has to lessen or scrap it for something else.

    Committing libel... too funny. Anyway, keep talking down to other players because you are so l33t.

    Literally, how does that have anything to do with the melee? you literally bring up 2 posts and that 1 "30 Hero Kills With Special Unit For 500 credits = Trolololol" talks about how in my other post "If You Are A Defeated Hero in GA, You Need To Improve At Being A Better Team Player" the heroes that sit back and do nothing but hide in their spawn points. Both are dealing with spawning, how does that have literally anything to do with the broken melee mechanic that literally stuns any player for moving and you can just spam? "Can't get close to them" are the enemy hero players sitting in their spawn not willing to move up and just hide there all match, as the first sentence states.

    So I provide my point, you are just taking words out of context. these 2 previous topics have literally nothing to do with addressing the melee mechanic and somehow you are trying to twist them together to make them somehow correlate when they don't.

    I did say the Blurrg does a lot of damage i don't know how you are correlating this to now as i was saying back then how OP it was with explosive shot that you could down a wookiee in 2 face shots so i was in support of nerfing it. The S-5 is a more skilled based weapon. Never said "figure out a way to not use the heavy SCS", I did state in the first nerf of the SCS they broke it in an update and made it next to useless, which DICE agreed they over nerfed it to uselessness. I never said "just gang up on Palp to kill him", in fact that was someone else's calm when trying to argue that Palpy zapping people through walls was somehow "balanced". Which it was not and that you "can't" gamag up on palpy because people using him would stay way back so you literally have to go through 8-10 players before you could reach him and all he has to do is tap you for a few seconds and any damage you do he can do almost full health recovery. So palpy at the time was invincible. So I don't know what you were smoking because you clearly are taking wehat I say and changing how I said it so it can fit your narrative.

    Make this clear, and do not change my wording. My previous topics are about how there are hero players and the kill count for the commendation was a joke in what it was asking for as it was a troll challenge as people kill steal for it and most heroes hide anyways so you can't even get in proximity to shoot them. This is opposite for me as I am actively playing the objective. Most, which most people overall don't even do in GA as I'm always top player and average 2 or 3 heroes a match pushing objectives. So to have to hold an area with or 6 players just running around vanguard melee spam is proof the melee is incredibly unbalanced where you can't move and my the time you can either jump, roll or run, he hits you again. It is so glitched that if you try to evade, he doesn't have to hit you, he just has to melee the spot you were at .5 seconds ago. So if you are at point A, where you get meleed, and you move to point B .5 seconds after stun affect goes away, He just has to melee point A and it literally drags you back into the same spot of Point A so you can't ever leave and thus just has to spam the melee button and will drain you of health and your only hope is that he **** up in the button mashing or someone shoots him to distract him.

    I don't mind someone getting to drop on a hero if they are better, but no way should that mean "oh i got a melee in, spam it and i will, as a trooper, down a hero with just melees because they can't respond back" for there to be an ability to allow you to melee anyone to death and they can't move, that's broken. if they was applied to the ATT, someone could literally run up to an enemy tank and span this, ATT can't move and would die from melees and stun effect prevent them from moving and that would lead to troopers bum rushing ATT with melees. To see a whole team doing them where they just spam melee shows people are realizing the melee is stupidly broken. Even Devastator21823 says he does it because they know how broken it is. That's not balanced if all you have to do is get 1 hit in and then the enemy can't react and you can thus keep spamming away at the melee attack.

    Those other 2 threads where talking about examples like this where enemy heroes hide like cowards, -1:14, and pretty much were the cause of why there team failed, aka "If You Are A Defeated Hero in GA, You Need To Improve At Being A Better Team Player", and even if you can get a hit on a hero as a specialist, you have people jack your kill, 0:00, as you see I take out the heroes vast majority of health, all he had was a sliver, I took out 0% of his health and yet at 1HP someone kills him and gets all the credit and thus no progress on the milestone. While also showing how no one is willing to move up against yoda til I do. Literally, my teammates all wait for me to engage yoda before any of them would even bother to go into the room. Also grenades are apparently magnetic, -0:05.

    Just use a specialist or assault and use the middle ability or for specialist use the infiltrator ability with a personal shield and you can run up to heroes and beat them down.

    We're aware of the stuns locks from lightsabers and we wanted to make the dodge stronger without making it as strong as it was before.
    With this change, we are first unifying the dodges. Some characters, like Yoda, didn't have the same speed and distance for their dodge and that put them at a high disadvantage. All of the dodges for force users are now similar and all dodges for blaster users are the same.
    The second part was to get away from stuns locks. To that effect, you are now unstaggerable and immune to melee damage from the start of the dodge (It was a few frames in from before). This is a shorter time than it was on release (it was the whole animation back then) but still enough to feel that you can avoid being damaged.
    Please feedback on this change as we're hoping it will improve the fighting experience while not lowering the lightsaber efficiency too much.
    Unified dodge lengths among Force using characters to 5.5 meters
    Unified dodge lengths among blaster wielding characters (Including Troopers) to 4.75 meters
    Dodge now makes characters unstaggerable from the first frame and for a longer time.
    Dodge now makes characters immune to Lightsaber, melee, or Phasma's Staff Strikes damage while unstaggerable (first frames of the animation)
