That SAME AFK FARMER was doing it AGAIN yesterday
You know, the one I mentioned on the topic that "disappeared" last time. This player has been afk farming for several months, at least since February.
A few weeks ago I saw him actually playing for the first time, and so I went to punish him. Did this a few times. Yesterday I found him again, and to my surprise he was AFK Farming Again.
EA/DICE, you really CAN'T DEAL with AFK Farmers right?
I wonder, new patches break many things in this game, I won't even bother listing, everyone knows that, just go to Answers HQ (https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/bd-p/star-wars-battlefront-ii-bug-reports-en) to check them. New patches also mess up with modders and their mods, even Frosty Mod Manager got an issue on the beginning of Season 2.
But that INFAMOUS AFK FARMING application NEVER STOPS WORKING.
EA/DICE, you should learn from them, if not to stop this AFK Farming, at least to understand better your own SOFTWARE.

It costs money. It promises to deliver a great experience. It fails on doing that. And the culprit is a 40 billion dollars valued company. It's enough reason for me to have this attitude.
If you think it doesn't matter that much, why bothering to answer?

I don't think it bothers Old_fella, just his opinion bro. I come on here cause I like the game enough to talk about it and I get bored at work. But it is just a game. If you don't like, don't play it.
I wish more people like you could come here and say they also know this exact AFK Farmer you guessed, because it's indeed him.
Maybe if enough people come here and say that before things get brushed under the rug, they start to do something.
BTW, now he can only get cosmetic benefits from that, so this means he's not only disrupting the community, but also bypassing spending money on this game. So why they don't PERMA BAN him already? He isn't going to spend any more money on this game anyway

I wish you got this game at full price on pre-release and your server is as empty as mine, and this guy stays AFK Farming on your only room for days without penalty. This way people simply stop playing, and you just threw your money on the bin.
It's not about the game, it's about being deceived by a 40 billion worth company. The game is average, despite too many bugs, and it's the only modern SW game, so many of us have no choice.
So if it doesn't bother you, like with old fella, why bothering come here to answer? I want answers and action from this 40 billion company, not from a person that prefers to meddle in someone else's issue that doesn't interest him, instead of doing his job

Yeah, yeah, they have this mysterious anti-cheat system running and you may report those cheaters or afk-farmers over and over again.
But they dont care. The only thing they do is to close these kind of threads and point out how u report someone...
Yeah I know, but can you confirm you know this player? Just to see if this time they do the right thing. Ultimately, they value money, and a player that won't spend any more money and disencourages others to do so, should be enough reason for thewm to perma ban him already (at least from this game, let him play fifa or the sims, I don't care)

-I agree it is average, has plenty of bugs, and there is 2015's Battlefront so two options. And you do have a choice not to play. You chose to play Battlefront 2, buy it, etc... you are not being forced to play. You want to play it cause you like Star Wars enough. I bought it cause I love Star Wars, even though there was a whole 2015 game by the same exact company that failed to meet expectations (So there was a reputation of a rushed product already there) I still bought this game cause I love the brand enough I don't care. I put up with all the ***** because I like the brand enough to stay around. It's my choice though I switch to other games (the classic battlefronts, empire at war, 2015's battlefront runs smooth)
-Because I ran into this forum randomly and I like to talk about this game and Star Wars in general
I agree they should answer for their 'botchness' and they have talked about it before and shown through their actions by revamping the progression. But you can't fix a kitchen with a bad foundation.
To me it's more my own choices. If I pre-order the game, digital, and it turns out to suck and is broken at launch I mostly blame myself. I'm still upset at the company for putting out such a mess, but it's only so much I can do. Voicee your feedback and then see what the plan is for improvement.
The solution is do not pre-order the game unless you are confident in the developer. It's a video game so sometimes its going to be hit or miss. If you have physical copy you might be able to trade it early and cut losses. If you choose to ride out the bugs in hope of patches from developer, that is fine too. But I'd look at their track record and history with previous games. Bf2015 had the same problems with balances and patching. One patch comes out and it breaks something else, then it takes weeks to fix it. Cheaters also rampant in that game and ea did little about it. Were far enough in the games life cycle now that we can develop reasonable opinions about the future of the game. I doubt they will do much more about Afkers sadly.
Also is there a way to report them? (that user)
Not just cosmetics anymore. Future heroes will cost Credits as well.
Obviously there is an advantage that this guy is after. But not enough that EA/Dice really cares to end the loophole.
Add me (xbox Oregon server) if you like
Actually if they're running a script, especially on HvV, they'll still get a modicum of points AND credits without doing a thing. If the 3 other people that get paired with him are decent, he could get even more based on time in game and being the target multiple times will get hits in when his script tells the game to fire and use specials. So yes, there is an net gain to doing this. And he never gets kicked out of the lobby by the AFK system (which is garbage itself).
Add me (xbox Oregon server) if you like
If you’re talking about PC, I won’t name him either, but I know who he is. It’s a different account. Names a bit different too. I have blocked 3 accounts of his almost identical. Same profile picture some letters/numbers changed here and there. He is being banned, he’s just buying new accounts to do it all over. Seems to be his “thing”. But again if it’s PC, without naming him, he has the Rainbow picture of Putin wearing Lipstick.
After game sales for popular FPS games, there also comes a surge of new account/hackers coming back to do their thing. Block and report for in game cheating, then comment ESP/Aimbot.

Yea, sad but true. No signs of improvement either in relation to this
His name has been the same to me, but then I found a new BUG yesterday where an account name was saying things in chat, but that account was nowhere to be found in the scoreboard. Then I realised the scoreboard was showing me an older name of that account, whereas the chat box showed the updated account name. My team mates were seeing everything correctly.
But about Rainbow Putin, yes that's him. He did play for a few weeks though, I never had so much pleasure in emoting to someone. Every time he realised it was me hunting him, he left the room.
But then, why would he do such things? If he has to buy new accounts he loses his progress. I don't think that's happening, I think he's never getting a perma ban. EA must be afraid of doing such a thing

Besides blocking and reporting him, I make it my mission to stay in the lobby longer than him. Every time.
And he is buying new accounts. Like I said, I noticed it the second time I had to block his account, the name was different and he had new cards. I had to block him twice... nope, new account old ones gone. Then it happened again, so he’s doing it all over once more, slightly different name, new account, same picture.

Hate to burst your bubble but the afk script is being used on consoles as well, at least it is on PS4. Here you can see it in action. Theory is they're using 3rd party programmable peripherals like a programmable keyboard/mouse combo that you can get.
Rainbow Putin? With an N and a 7? Tell me you just saw someone afk farming, and not this horrible person doing the same thing there too

My guess is that the account owner is related to a big wig at EA or DICE. Like a VP's kid or something...
Truly pathetic that this is still happening.
There was a time where AFKers were in above half of the HvV games I joined. Now I havent seen them in a long time. Still, if one of my team mates doesnt select a hero I automatically think "oh no..." but it seems they just arent bothered about what hero they play as. 9/10 games of HvV, players will turn around and look at each other to make sure everyone is there. Its funny
The sad thing is that it ruins a lobby for an entire team. At the end of the match he'll have gained between 800 - 1600 credits.
EA/Dice's inaction on this particular account really erodes the trust players have that they're working to keep things fair. Granted, it's practically impossible to remove all cheaters but sometimes one is so high profile it needs to be addressed personally. Think FBI's most wanted list.
Before I even opened the thread, I already knew which player you were talking about, and I'm sure that many other forum members did the same. I hope EA is bold enough to ban his IP or hardware.

Working on a solution. I’ll keep getting his accounts as I see them with Blocks/Reports. Every time, he gets the report, Promise.

That Noautho**** guy is still doing that! It is Oregon server right? Last week I lost one game by 2:0 as the light side because of him. That was a good match but completely ruined by this sucke*
I can't make any other player play the way I want them to so I just accept that my side is one person down. If we're the light side I protect him/our team when he is the target but if we're the dark side then I leave him to his fate
I just see it as another person with really poor social responsibility skills. Like someone who doesn't wash their hands after using the rest room may be making a bad decision collectively I can't force them to wash their hands. It's life I suppose. I know some are really angry with this user and I don't say that to inflame the situation.
I played with him/her once. They were actually playing as Boba Fett. I thought of saying something in chat but decided not to start a bunch of drama during my time to play the game and relax. Others did and he left after one round.
Yes, he always does that. Stays AFK ruining other players's matches, but whenever he's actually online he never finishes a game. Really toxic player. And skill wise he might be one of the worst players I've ever seen too hahahaha
