You say you been playing since release. DEBATABLE. The issue is YOU. Get good. Stop crying for beefs that are needed that ruin the game. I'm a legit top notch player. .01% of 50 rank. Hundreds of hours more than you I guarantee. And I instantly sometimes as heros SO GET GOOD stop crying evwry obstacle you have in games and adapt like THE REST OF US. the people telling you. HERO'S ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE SOME POINT. Are right. And for you to say youve been playing since launch and disagree with that is absurdly abnormal. It's YOU and your TEAM. Get a freaking vehicle and point farm since you're obviously far below the average skill level. TIMERS ON HERO'S IS OBLY FOR BAD KIDS crying to get a chance to play. You can simply watch the score board 90% of matches and see the hero change players ESPECIALLY IN THE END WITH 4 PLAYERS. A game finally rewards better players fairly and you wanna take that from us. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE

“0.1% of 50 rank” huh? Where exactly do you find this data? Are you talking about your player rank? Because if that’s the case it doesn’t really say much.

    I don't agree.
I don't see the need for one person to bogart a hero for an entire round if they die as that hero or villain. I am not in favor of limiting "time" you play as a hero like the game does with artillery. If you can stay alive, then more power to you. I am in favor of limiting how many times you can play as the "same" hero / villain in a round. You die, you have to change. THAT to me, is reasonable.

    “#Milienials”

Also you’ve avoided my previous question directed to you. Keep your politics out of a video game forum. I’m just gonna go ahead and say I doubt anyone cares that you’re rank 50. I am too, but you don’t see me gloating about it, calling people “noobs” and saying “get good.”

Editing posts is an option, as well.
  • This game’s dead because of the ***** ***** fan base. If you’re good at the game you deserve to horde the heros, and play a ***** ranged hero hiding every time you hit half health. Could you imagine having the ability to have your chopper gunner the entire match of cod, people would lose their *****. Hand holding? So having characters with more then triple the average grunts health and with guns that also do triple the damage with ridiculous abilities isn’t easy? Plus you have the ability to use them the entire match!? You people are patheticlly stupid.

We don't need a timer, just move up the back boundary for heroes so they need to be closer to the front line and the other team needs to be able to get to them.

Objective players don't get punished and campers can't hide.

  • Or what if the heroes worked like in onslaught mode. You start with 1 minute and each kill gives you 3 seconds? I prefer the current hero gameplay, but I would go this far.

No, not all of the heroes are meant to tank damage as they rip through the other team.

Nope, no timers at all... If you survive, you survive.

That is a lack of teamwork! You get a fire team or two on any hero and they will fall or run away like a scared schoolgirl. If they run, they are ready for the hunt because they are weak.

  • Oh god, if you want a hero timer, go play the original BFI and II. Those will hold your hand for you.

This game actually rewards skill. Imagine that. If someone can get kills and survive, they deserve to keep the hero until they get themselves killed. There's no hero that I can't kill if I actually take the time to flank properly and get headshots in when they're engaging the rest of my team, unless the other player is monstrously skilled. If the enemy team can't kill a hero on your team, that's their fault, not the person who worked hard to get to the first hero.

If this game needs anything, it's a Hero QUEUE. So people that have enough points to get a hero can queue to be next in line when a hero dies or a spot otherwise opens, and then a pop-up prompt will let you change to that hero you queued for even if you're currently a trooper or reinforcement, without losing tickets. It would make it easier to get a hero without waiting in the spawn screen for something to eventually happen. People do that often and are subsequently useless to their team while they're doing it.

I think the gripe people have is the people hiding in the back camping with the heroes.

I hate that too, but TBH it's just as bad with Specialists. In my experience, most players that are skilled enough to get first dibs on a Hero are experienced and know what they're doing. If my teammates aren't that, I am and I get the Hero and will carry them to victory on my back if I have to.

I'm down with that idea, I like it.
BF1 had a similar hero switch, only you had to find the floating hero thingy on the battlefield to transform in that game. When you picked it up, you respawned as the hero/villain of your choice instantly.

  • If someone is playing well s/he deserves to keep the hero whether is frustrating or not. The same happens also without the hero, people play well also with other characters (imagine someone who is playing very well with the assault, would you stop him to use the assault?).

Anyway a time limit could be interesting somehow. Indeed I have a different proposal:
The timelimit run only if the hero is not injuring anyone (similar to ATAT’s and MTT’s, with more time) or if it is not close to an objective. This can prevent people to take the hero and do nothing waiting the next stage, to play in the rear or away from the objective. Therefore heroes' turnover will increase

I agree with a timer and also a player should only be able to be a hero once per match.

I know i'm pulling up old stuff... But have you ever played a close match where both teams are just pumping out heroes trying to defend/capture a point? (especially on Endor) it is the most crazy thing ever... I swear i ran in 4 times as different heroes because everyone was rushing the point like crazy trying to get it, so only being able to be a hero once per game won't solve the issue the original poster is complaining about, but make it worst because people don't want to die and sit at the back.

The only way you will get a timer is if there's a buff to heroes health/defense because anyone can wreck them as they are hence why they run away/sit at the back so often.
