HvV modes Collecting Issues

DICE,

Hero mode bugs and issues are getting out of control here is a laundry list of issues that still exist with the heros & villains modes that needs to be fixed immediately. More and more issues keep arising and making the game mode fail.

Issues listed from game breaking to okay to deal with:
  1. In Hero showdown during selection you get "BENCHED" sometimes and don't spawn in because you selected the same character you already played with ( having died with that character last round) and the game thinks you can't select that hero again but it shows that you can. People select this hero again and they are not spawned into the game however, you get spawned into the game when everyone else is selecting characters for the next round and then you are "BENCHED" again for the actual round. People generally tend to quit because of this and then their teammate quits and the game is over. You can't get out of this problem until the game is over and you start a new game.
  2. Almost all force powers are buggy still, I think that you know about this DICE but there is a laundry list just for force powers. If you aren't on flat ground or there is a lip/small object in front of you then the ability doesn't work most of the time.
  3. These force problems happen for luke force push, luke repulse, yoda's push, vader force choke, maul choke, kylo pull, kylo freeze, rey mind trick( however her mind trick hits most of the time)
  4. Vader force choke is still causing screen glitching on the player affected.
  5. When you are at different heights, force powers also have problems too.
  6. Light saber throws aren't hitting on the return hit and this has to do with the laundry list of problems associated with the light saber blocking too.
  7. Light saber characters that have blocks have been able to block all moves even after the fact that they have been hit and if they let go of the block then the special ability hits them, but does no damage. Vader choked me in the video , but because I blocked immediately when they did the attack it was essentially cancelled, unless you let go of the block before the ability is up. This problem happens with so many abilities and all characters with light saber blocking.
  8. Sometimes if you are super close to the enemy and you still have stamina the player gets off balance and you hit them it doesn't hit them. Seems to happen more often when you are low on stamina, but you still have like 1/4 stamina left.
  9. You get hit by a character that is already killed if you stand too close to them because the system is like running through all the buttons they pressed still even after they have died.

  10. Boba fett can reach particular spots in the map that are unreachable by all characters
  11. Chewy's ground slam doesn't always activate properly, or sometime you go into a double ground slam if you jump first then activate the ground slam
  12. New one I found today is Han's detonite charge. If his charge is out too long then instead of blowing up the previous detonite charge he throws another one and the old one is still shown laying on the ground.
  13. Another new one I got today, Lando's multishot ability isn't locking onto people from time to time even though they are right in front of you.
  14. Yoda's standard attack doesn't seem to lock onto enemy characters too well and misses a lot now.
  15. Same with Phasma's staff....I know that a lunge lock-on mechanic was added, but it doesn't always seem to lock on and work.
  16. Chewy's furious caster splash damage still getting through Iden's shield and enemy officer shields too. Happens to explosive shot on ordinary blaster characters too. This to me seems like a bug still that needs to be fixed.
  17. Emperor stamina drain on enemy players doesn't seem correct. His standard lightning attack does little damage to the characters when they aren't blocking, but melts through their stamina when they are blocking. Seems like stamina drain needs to be decreased slightly or his damage should be increased slightly. The two don't seem to equate very well.

Moral of the story is that pretty much every single character is breaking and sometimes the mode itself is breaking too.

I have more video and will try and up load to show the issues that I am talking about.

    Video of the hit box detection issues when Rey was attacking. Light saber attacking and blocking is breaking a lot lately too. In the video I kill the emperor immediately and then Maul crosses behind the emperor at a far distance to far to hit and for some reason I was able to still hit Maul when they were far away and up in the air off to my left.

    Early in this same game Rey did a "SUPER LUNGE", but I edited it out on accident, where she locked onto maul and swung at him, but maul did a spin attack to get away almost simulatenously and then my character Rey did a super lunge to follow after maul. Like the length that maul is able to spin attack away. That's what I mean by "Super Lunge".

  • So problem number 13, after I reviewed the video is actually associated with Han throwing his detonite charge out during the immobilizing special attacks done to him and it not properly working. I thought it was his detonite charge reseting after a period of time being out.

    I threw out a charge and it landed, but I guess I wasn't paying attention to the fact that my HUD said I hadn't thrown one out even though you can visually see it. Around 0:52 or so I throw another one out even though there is visually one laying on the ground at the top of the stairs.

    Problem #14 seems to happen the most when you try to multishot Bossk as Lando when Bossk is jumping. It doesn't pick him up. At around 0:04-0:05 I have come around the corner already and standing in blast zone of Bossk and the multishot doesn't lock onto him.



    It happens quick, but you can see the aimer icon come up for multishot and no one gets locked onto. I know this isn't the best video, but believe me this happens quite often with Lando now.

  • Chewy doing a double ground slam @ 0:09. You can hear it and see him in final position on the ground when I turn around. Then he gets up and does another ground slam.

  • Vader Force Choke is still a problem. It will also still cause some players to lose their abilities and walk really slowly too from time to time. This happened. 6/23/2018 and is still an issue in the game. We killed him before he initiated and he still does the full choke to us. In addition it still makes your screen glitch too when force choking you.

  • So getting hit by dead enemies is a bug then. All this time I brushed it off as lag. A fix for that would be nice.
  • Yeah I've played a lot of HvV games and neither side appears to be lagging and it still happens and I can consistently get it to happen too if I go really close to an enemy. Happens with a lot of characters, but mostly with yoda and Darth Maul.

    Now you can add

    Rey's charge attack will continue to do damage to characters hit by it, until they are dead or use a health ability (other than the first target)

    I also have an idea on how to make lightsaber fighting more engaging/skill based, because currently it has little to no nuance

    Found more yet again after this last terrible update with the stamina change.
    1. Blaster heros can now shoot while immobilized.
    2. Blaster heros can now shoot while flying through the air from a force push or pull. Blaster heros can now fire while picking themselves up off the ground. This use to just happen with Boba Fett and his rockets, but now it's happening to blaster heros too. Easy to tell if you use Phasma or leia hold the trigger down and wait until someone force push pulls you. You'll see what I mean.
    3. You keep changing the mechanics of phasma's droid circle stun. I'm not sure if you are suppose to get stunned when you move into the circle with your light saber block up or not because you keep CHANGING IT AND NOT INCLUDING INFO IN THE PATCH NOTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    4. Imbalance issues also exist now with phasma's droid health & stun and the fact that a team of all light side force users in Hero Showdown can't do hardly anything to Phasma in her droid circle. Especially because of problem #3 and because of the force powers not working properly.


    I'll post a video of the blaster heros shooting through immobilizing attacks later.

    To be fair, she is absolutely atrocious for HvV. And thats coming from someone that mained her since when she first came out. Its no surprise that she can absolutely dominate with her droid when its only 1v1 or even 1v2 as I have done that numerous times. It's just a very terrible game mode from the get go. Force powers however I have no argument on that for light side.

  • Developers.....the leia update is appreciated, but it seems that you are missing these more important updates to the heros that are becoming vital to game play as the heros & villians are becoming more and more unplayable.

    Yeah this patch surfaced a few bugs. I played a game where two guys spawned as the same hero in more than one match. I am not sure if it is a hack or bug, but I reported it to the devs to look into.
    Imagine being Kylo Ren, think you are freezing "both" Luke's and finding the affect only works on one! That was a frustrating game because my team had the better players, but because of the bug/hack, we lost this close match I expect due to force powers only working on one of the "twins" at any given time and these two conspicuously only played as a team.
    I only wish I had recorded it for visual proof. However all the players in those matches were ID'ed and the devs know who they were for their investigation.

    I think that is symptom of the pointless spawn timer coupled with the squad system.
    It can take up to 10 secs for a player to get back into a game, first finding a spawn point then waiting for the spawn timer to count down. During that collective time, grinders can easily rack up the points to gain the heroes for their side, while reinforcements for the opposing side are stuck in the spawn screen waiting to get back in.
    On a map of 40 players if even 20 % are stuck in a spawn screen at any given time that is 5 less players who can counter an opposing side's advance or defense. If a map has matchmaking that is tilted with more experienced players vs newer less experienced players because of the challenges this game has with player balancing, the results become very dramatic.
    I believe it is also the reason why GA games have become so much short than before. Not enough bodies on the battlefield to keep the match going back and forth.

    Dice great work so far with hero fixes.....keep it up!
    Still have these changes left:
    1. Screen still glitches from vader force choke......but at least we can most people again on console.
    2. Lightsaber throws aren't do damage consistently on the return hit when the enemy has block up.
    3. People getting damaged still by players that are downed and out if they go too close to the body.
    4. Lightsaber blocking after affected by a special ability is still a problem. Hopefully lightsaber combat changes fix this! Blocking after being hit by ability cancelling/delaying the ability.
    5. Maul seems to be slightly buggy now with his abilities not working soon enough/quick enough when trying to chain them one after the other and as well as after getting up from a stun/stumble.
    6. Also jedi still can't destroy Phasma's droid with lightsaber attacks.

    Please also revert Kylo's Frenzy attack back to the previous form when it worked. This new frenzy is just as bad as the frenzy that didn't work.
  • Exactly why I have all max level troopers, but no max level heroes (some heroes are still level 2!)
