Players who never set foot on the objectives

When you see 2 or 3 of them hanging around spawn and shooting at the objective, you just know this team will lose no matter how you carry. (SIGH)

  • Exactly why we need better matchmaking.
  • Yes yes
  • Seriously the devs need to stop playing with little updates and hot fixes or whatever they call it and make some actual change that affects our gameplay.
  • I have that problem in Extraction. I'll end up on a team and they'll run off in different directions to kill people with no one even glancing at the carrier.
  • I totally feel you. This is no joke!
  • This game has objectives?

Yeah its crazy. I noticed the vast majority of players either don't flank on GA or use any star cards whatsoever. I.e. grenades. If i am assault, I find on an awful team I am the one that uses grenades and scan dart. Any wonder why we don't make headway?
  • YES Plus they usually charge the same chokepoint over and over the entire game
  • For instance, Just finished playing kamino as droids. First stage my team flanked actually and managed to keep them some how. However, no droid made it in except for me because I am sneaky. The clones protected their flanks well using turrets and grenades along with shooting. It didn't dawn on my teammates to reciprocate so our numbers gotten eaten up quickly.
  • On naboo on phase 2 as droids I was trying to get both objectives alone as Palpatine while all my team was either in spawn or in the middle area
  • Yep rushing alone as hero as usual. The fastest way to waste a hero but what else can you do?!
  • Garbage game = garbage players

Incorrect... the other team likely also has the exact same situation going on. Play for the W and you will probably still get it.

You are new to this game aren't you?
  • It's amazing no one mention Strike. That also has objectives. It's the same problem like GA and Extraction.
You might get lucky with one or two playing it and rest figuring out how not to die or kill the enemy.

  • Yeah it makes me wonder if most players in this game are like 12 year-olds who have no clue.

If 1500+ hours played of ONLY GA and a pile of guides on how to win and carry your team to the W in GA is "new to this game" then yes, I am "new to this game".

Ah yes the number of teammates (mainly officers) stood by an ion disruptor at their feet with no enemies around and the MTT/AT-AT is within less than 100 meters warms my heart.

These situations above are next level lol. Just wow. Absolutely brain dead players or 5 y/o playing the game. Quiet sad.
  • Mandatory training level where you have to pto or the game won't work
  • Defending on kamino is the worst offender for this. People just hanging around the middle corridor on phase 3 whilst the droids take the hanger unopposed. I wish this game had friendly fire sometimes...

Exactly why we need better matchmaking.

    Matchmaking wont help.

We need a large scale tdm with heroes and vehicles to get these players out of objective modes.

  • Get it a lot in Strike, people standing around the objective racking up the kills, not pressing the button. Press the blooming button people!! :D

Yeah thanks for uploading the "how to win" guides for people. But that doesn't necessarily mean the majority of people follow what you have suggested.

xD I wish there were friendly fire, but then you have to face the other team all by yourself!

Agreed. That's one of the most frustrating phases for me. I'll hide in a corner as a clone, the only one contesting the zone while 5-10 droids run in. I don't even shoot, just hide and contest for as long as I can, but inevitably they find me and we lose the objective without 1 other clone joining me. Frustrating.

To be fair, I have found it much better strategically to just abandon the hanger and stack the barracks where you can win 100-0 without much difficulty. The only time I will set foot in the hanger is if the barracks is already lost.

Yup. I see this a lot esp on Endor map. I love zipping in and picking it up under those prats’ noses.

Yeah, Barracks is much easier to defend, get Yoda or Finn in there and you win as long as they are willing to buff the troops.

Courtyard-Central Station on Yavin, Barracks on Kamino, West Point on Jakku, Bazar on Tatooine those are some of the points that make totally irrelevant playing the others as defense.

Apparently reading comprehension is NOT your forte, as I was very explicit in my statement... but since apparently you missed the point, I will quote it so you can try again (you're welcome)!

If it's two or three hanging around the spawn, then no big deal (in GA at least), that means about 17 players who are at least going to draw fire if not play the objective. It's when you're on Takodana, phase 1, as First Order and there's like 7 people with the default sniper stood on the hill down from the spawn that you know you're screwed. Don't get me wrong, Specialistback up can be useful, and I actually quite like playing the class on that phase, but I play aggressively, using Stealth and a Personal Shield to flank and push onto the objective, giving my team a reason to push on. I don't take the occasional potshot for about 60 damage and then not follow it up because they're too far away to hit again. I appreciate that these players might be new, trying to learn how to snipe, but some phases are really not good for sniping - this is one of them.

I have thousands of replies on this message board, I am sure I have been accused of (insert X) hundreds of times on here, so go ahead and link away to this thread where I was first made aware that reading comprehension is a thing...

As far as your post, the alternative explanation to a problem with your reading comprehension is that you willfully misrepresented what I said to engage in ad hominem... but I know you would never intentionally engage in such behavior....

Yep Takodana is one map where the whole team needs to play agressively, attacking or defending all flanks at the same time.
