Please remove spawn timer from blast.

This is supposed to be a fast paced mode. It's not when you have to wait 5+ seconds just to spawn in.

Last update removed the timer on spawning in on extraction, and it's not a lot faster paced than it was with the old spawn system. Exactly how blast should be.


And while you're at, bump up the player count to 12v12, don't add the squad system, and either limit enforcers to 2 per side, or completely remove them from the game mode.

  • I never play Blast anymore 'cause it's just not fun. It's slow and boring, and it can be frustrating just trying to find other players on the map.

    It needs
    • no respawn timer
    • 12v12 players
    • fewer special units

    Then it would be fun and worth playing again.

    Blast used to be my game to go to.

  • Used to play Blast exclusively. I played a little less after Bespin was introduced, I hated getting that map in rotation because it was too big for the mode. Then after 8v8, every map felt like Bespin. Ghost towns and 20 minute matches. I haven't played it since the spawn timer was introduced but I can imagine it would be infuriating, so I'm all on board with getting rid of the spawn timer and increasing the number of players. I still have a few levels to go on my specialist and really want the old Blast back so I can grind it out.

  • I played both blast and strike recently, strike resembled blast more than blast does anymore, takodana strike is so much more fast paced than takodana blast

    Put blast up to 12v12 drop enforcer numbers to 2 max per team, raise the ticket to 200 per team, reduce the spawn timer to 2 seconds, and watch blast return to its former glory

    At first I didn't comment on this thread because as I was scrolling through the threads, I saw so many banners on this one (SWBF CM, SWBF Dev Team, Mod) that I thought one of them must be a closed banner LOL. Wasn't really paying attention obviously.

    I agree. I wouldn't complain if the timer was removed in HvV either. I don't play Blast much but if these changes were implemented I would enjoy the mode much more.

  • Agreed to OP + a special unit limit.
    Also, Bespin used to feel way too big and slow, but a little bit better now - not sure if it's because of adjustment or just because I learned how to play it. Would love an option to select which maps to play, though, or at least which eras. CW is no fun.

    Are you kidding, theed palace and kamino are excellent blast maps, theed palace is what blast should be, utter bedlam, takodana now theres a garbage blast map
  • I don't play a lot of blast myself, usually only when it is part of the daily challenge, but with suggestions made i think would be a definite improvement for the game mode. It would make it stand out more from the rest of the modes requiring more of a specialized play stye and tactics.

    I would LOVE to see a ranked blast, like Halo. Each map you win you gain 2 magical matchmaking points each one you lose you lose 1 point. Matches are generated based on magical points. Let the cream rise to the top!

  • GA was even better with no timer. Just saying. IMHO if you take away that timer in every mode you have a 50% better game over all.

    I had already talked about this in one of my past posts. yes that would solve a lot of problem balancing players. Let's imagine that just separating players into 3 servers: beginners / normal people and very strong players. This would make the parts much more fluid and homogeneous. I often see that the first 3 players in blast are the ones who accumulate an average of 70% of all the kills to be made ... with this system there would be less gap between the first and the last of your team

    @F8RGE - Please eliminate the spawn timer for Blast. This fast spawn "event" is not something that should be a flash in the pan. Having no spawn timer makes this game inherently fun and the way it was supposed to be IMO.
