The 4 maps is on purpose
It's [removed] simple what we want. Each map played once in each rotation. Remain in same lobby/rotation with the same players, with teams shuffled at the end of round. No searching for the same game mode/different (empty) lobby after every [removed] round.
Keep saying you're listening when feedback is clear and the same every time you've turned this ***** matchmaking system on that it's not what we want or are asking for. But since EA's crate progression scam failed, they just want the game to fail without coming right out and saying it. Wouldn't want any bad PR harming their relations with their Disney cash cow. Why else pull all their resources from the game, leaving only contractors who don't know what the [removed]they're doing to oversee development, and push all these changes people are clearly against?
I don't think you'll ever really manage to balance the teams, and the bigger flaw is that you've built the whole game around the concept of a race to get the most OP gimmicks. In Blast games will begin and even with a weaker team I can keep up a decent enough kill rate to make a game out of it so it's still fun, then the Enforcers arrive and the balance is completely distorted.
I know people like Enforcers but we have to make a choice. If you ever want close competitive games they have to go, or be greatly reduced in the number allowed into a game.
In Strike: Same again very unbalanced teams, but thanks to the spawn system I've been able to get back into the fight quick enough to PTO and kill despite my team being outgunned, so I've seen a few good games in this mode at least.
Teams still aren't being shuffled, we're just being sent to different half or completely empty servers which fill with the same imbalances as before and cycle begins again.
I know your trying, but so far it's still another fail.

What exactly are you trying to achieve here with the eor matchmaking?
Is it to help players find matches?
Address balancing/stomping issues?
You'll notice a lot of the feedback is suggesting scramble teams which address balancing/stomping issues.
You should let us know what your achieve here with the eor matchmaking.
Also you should let us know what the matchmake button is for. Because the game searches for a new match regardless of whether you press the button or not.
By the way loving the no spawn timer weekend. Should be the norm imo.
I just played star fighter assault and here are some screen shots of the results. End of first round, we stomped the opposition, this is how the scoreboard looked pre-matchmake -
So after the match make, and at the start of the next round this is what the scoreboard looks like -
We play the 2 rounds. We again stomp the opposition team. At the end of the second round, the scoreboard is as follows -
After the matchmaking this is what the scoreboard looked like -
So we play a 3rd round. Again the team I'm on stomps the opposition in the first round. We lose players so we cannot continue and then have to abandon the lobby as no one fills the gaps after 10 minutes of waiting.
I join a new lobby a friend was in on Fondor. His team had won the 1st round in a stomp. I form a group with him and two others. We stomp the opposition. So match making happens. End result, my team wind up in a lobby on our own, all 3 of us (1 guy had quit due to some tech issues with his PC).
So did this "matchmaking" result in even teams? No.
Did this "matchmaking" result in fast flowing games? Not really.
Did this "matchmaking" put you in empty lobbies? It did at least once.
Did this "matchmaking" keep the games going? No.
As I said this "trial" is yet another failure. Yet you people on the Dev team seem pig headed to make it work when all people really want is team scrambling after each map.
We, your user base, don't want to be shifted into new lobbies. We don't want our games broken up waiting for teams to fill due to half empty lobbies., We don't want to jump around so that we have no idea what the next map will be, especially if it means we play certain maps twice or more before we play other maps once.
Fact is WE DO NOT WANT THIS DAFT MATCHMAKING SYSTEM! It is not going to work, no matter what tweaks you make. You are trying to design a horse by committee. No wonder you keep coming up with a camel.

I do not want to play anymore whilst this "test" happens. It seems DICE you just want to anger, annoy and harass your players as that is all you are doing with this dafter system. You are just embittering your player base and giving us reasons to ensure it dwindles even further for this game.

no difference. getting sent to empty servers, and when not, the top 10 of one team were all in the same side. so effectively nothing happens other than you are wasting my time getting sent to empty servers.
This test this weekend has made it so I will not be playing at all. I already feel like I spend more time in lobbies and searching for matches than I do in game and this test has made it even worse for me as now I have to do so after EVERY SINGLE ROUND. I appreciate the effort and the work to make things better, unfortunately for me this is the worst experience I have had so far since launch.
I really want to support this title and this IP as it has had such an impact in my life. I still log into SFBF1 from time to time just to see if anyone is playing. But I am at my breaking point with this iteration of the franchise. In my 30+ years of playing games and 12 years working in the industry this has been one of the more disappointing titles but I still play because of the IP.
Please for the love of all us who live and breath Star Wars, fix this crap or shut it down.
Just do a team shuffle end of matches, which is honestly what I thought would be the case and I'm baffled as to why it isn't.
Quit. Find a round of Blast. Matchmaking comes up after the round. Bam. Empty lobby again.

Had to play D'Qar six times in a row. First lobby was OK but matchmade to another with lag and which was more unbalanced. Matchmaking happened automatically after every other round. Of the five games after the first matchmaking the Rebels won on the first or second phase three times and the other two were steamroll wins for the Imps (though it's pretty impossible to win as Rebels on the final phase with instant respawns).
Why not just shuffle the darn teams like the last game? I can only presume that DICE are using us as guinea pigs for another game...

Just quit and rejoin another match.....only way to avoid the horrendous "matchmaking" experiment weekend.

yes th'at s what i do but i join matches in progress so tha'ts not very satisfying
Rounds 1 & 2 were steamrolls, but round 3 was quite competitive. I believe this means it's sort of working as intended? Not really sure.
Here was the problem though. After me and my partner got auto-shuffled to another lobby, we were not paired into the same squad. He still showed a highlighted green icon over his trooper, so I know the game recognized him as my partner still, but I was in a squad with 3 randoms. I'm fairly certain that is not working as intended. Hope that helps!

This has me quite worried. I hope this doesn't mean matchmaking aims to allow players to be thrown into lobbies that make them replay maps and not go through a reliable map rotation.
All it's done for me is put me into a new lobby.

GA I got put into the last phase of a Naboo match. Went to MM right away and ended up on Kashyyk. Played two rounds on Kashyyk on very balanced teams. So I guess because the teams were balanced we needed MM to kick in again? Yes, MM kicked in and took me to Kashyyk. And made sure the teams were not balanced. We were 3 players down until the last phase. So at the end of that game MM kicked in and I was being sent to ... Kashyyk ?
Sorry but being on the same map 4 times in a row is not my idea of fun. Turned the game off and went on to other things...
Say goodbye to that feeling.
The fact that this is probably going to happen no matter how much we protest is a real bummer.
I haven't even lasted long enough in a lobby to see what happens with eor.

Same here, worst thing is I was matchmaked out of a balanced game
I'm on PC and get the same issues.
I believe it prioritizes your ideal ping site location, but with all the server shuffling it doesn't always put you in your ideal server.
I only get the slow internet connection warning when they test EOR MM. Which comes with the lag.
The game was running fine for me after the x1 fix. Now its broken and unplayable again.
