I Cannot Kill Anyone. Period.
I play as a level 28 Assault class soldier, and I just recently got the EF-16 and I still have this long lasting problem in the game. I ***** can't kill literally ANYONE. I got the EF-16 through grind and months of playing. I keep getting one shotted by this exact gun AND by lowerer level players. Plus I have star cards maxed out for health regeneration and battle point generation and they dont work I swear. Does ANYBODY have advice on how to fix this because EA wont ***** do *****.

quite likely you are lagging. so when you hit them on your screen on the server they have moved away from the hit box.
Try unlocking all the guns and gun parts while playing blast. You might find a gun that better suites you. I unlocked all the guns and their parts over a three day weekend. I also found out I play better as an officer than the heavy class I was using.
PS: I'm 37, and I work almost 40-50 hours a week. So I'm not a "no lifer."
Use the scan dart for a while. It should give you the drop on opponents while getting Battlepoints on anyone killed thats highlighted. Once in the groove switch it out. Oh.... headshots are your friend.

I have wired connect on my PS4 Pro. No matter what I do, this game lags ever so slightly. Play arcade mode, do you get head shots easily? Does the predictability of your targeting feel fluid? Mine does. Then switch to GA mode in multiplayer. Notice how everything is a little sticky - delayed.
I watch Xbox players on YouTube and they are moving so much faster and it looks just like my arcade mode. You can see their inputs are in real time. I don't know if they have separate servers from PS4, fewer players on them, or what. But I sense Xbox is the only platform this game is working fully on right now.
I can't tell you how many times I walked up to the back of someones head and shoot them 4 times and I still lose the 1v1 somehow. And there is always this moment where I pull the trigger and nothing happens. LAG KILLS.
This is my entire experience in this game. I'm on a PC, I always spawn in late on a new game and people have already died and I'm just getting in. I hit people and they always turn around and one shot me.
I get a special like wookie warrior or death trooper and I die super fast but my shots on others don't do squat.
Seems to have gotten bad since that last patch. I'm about to be done with this game, no enjoyment. I don't need 30 kills a game but I'd like feel like I'm doing something instead of just being fodder for the other side.

They head shot you. Headshot multiplier is about 2x.
You don't know the map and don't know where to stand to get cover. Likely you are out in the open for the whole enemy team to see.
You need to be behind cover, around or better behind some team mates, and need to make every shot count. Practice shot accuracy.
People have gotten better, have better star cards, PLUS the server matching has failed, pairing up very good people in one team against very bad people in the other.
I suggest playing someone with healing ability and using a fast firing automatic rifle. And some long range weapon.
Eg assault with automatic rifle
or Heavy but use only a normal or mobile sentry.
And make sure you are behind team mates if you don't know the map.
If you have time, take a deep breath and aim for the head.
If you are taking hits, roll sideways into cover or backwards if you're in a corridor (otherwise you go nowhere!).
If you see someone very near, don't shoot, melee them. (Combine with roll and jump first if you need them to get a bit closer).
These are the instructions I give myself as I am 100% like you. I suck. I am no gamer and can't see any enemy even if they are right next to me, lag a lot, poor reaction time, can't remember the maps, etc. On PC. Playing against seasoned gamers who are on steroids.
I am also very close to quitting but I've found these to help the most.
PS - what is your FPS? and your monitor is set to game mode?
My FPS sucks. I'm a little below min specs for the game. I'm usually in the 20s. All settings are on low. I've turned on game mode now and it's a bit better. Before the last update I had no issues and could run at medium video settings.
I'm trying your suggestions. Mostly I suck. Lag sure isn't helping.
underscale your resolution eg use 70%
What monitor/TV are you using?
Are you playing on a wired or wireless connection?
How is your connection (ping)?
Are you using a crap mouse or NO mousepad?
Are you still using the default white crosshair?
Input lag plays a bigger role in this game than people realize because all bullets have a travel time.
The combination of you lagging plus your target twitching/jumping plus the inherent need to lead your shots makes it almost impossible to reliably hit anything moving. If you're serious about doing well, you have to eliminate the variables you can control.
Biggest improvement for me was getting a 144hz monitor. Low graphics settings don't matter. You don't get more battlepoint by playing on ultra.
i would love to have less server lag though. today i was playing and i repeatedly either kill or get killed about 0.5-1s after the event!
HOWEVER, i get more kills than I get killed, so maybe everyone was lagging!
Even for consoles, the input lag of your TV screen matters slot even if everyone is locked in at 60hz. There are some cheap and pretty Samsung Tv's out there that have terrible input lag. Displaylag.com would be a good place to check.
That's the exact story how boyz choose dark side and use aim hacks...
Doesn't help of course that the absolute best of the enemy teams are the exact type of player that will camp you until you get sick and want to vomit on them out of frustration. And they seem really bloody hard to hit, at all.
I have a regular PS4 and multiplayer works fine for me
The gun is great at distance but you have to be accurate. It is hard to win a gun fight up close because so many of the other guns are really good up close.
I used to use the gun a lot and loved it, but I am not on as consistently as I used to be so I switched to the 280 for bigger maps and CR-2 for shorter maps to avoid any unnecessary frustration.
But I assure you, it is a great gun if you use it for medium to longer range shooting and play enough to shoot with accuracy.
Last thing... I really feel that if you want headshots with the gun you need to be ever so slightly above the head. Try it and see if it helps, but I really do mean slightly.
Game has gotten very difficult. I've noticed these issues too but usually can overcome them.
Definitely have lost desire to play though. There's just nothing to play for. I mean, no stats, nothing to unlock....What's the point? I've leveled to the max, unlocked everything. I play for a couple hours and basically have absolutely zero to show for it afterwords except a few more meaningless credits that I pay no attention to because there's nothing I want to spend them on.
Personally, I've been back playing Uncharted 4 online. At least I can watch my wins and kills increasing while playing that.

Probably your controller sensitivity settings are too high. Turn them to to the 20's and experiment with them till you get a feel that is right. When the adrenalin starts pumping you likely overcompensate on your target and miss. Lower settings slows you down so you can stay on target better.
Your reaction time will be slower, but at least you'll hit who you are shooting at more.
