  • Another one?
  • And the skill gap widens, bring on the nerfs, guaranteed the same people will be weeping afterwards.

It’s a never ending cycle that always has the same outcome, I don’t get how people don’t get it.

I wonder the same thing, baffling really
  • If this is intended to be a mockery of the “Upcoming Chewy Nerf” thread, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense given that the Chewy Nerf thread was not actually calling for a Chewy nerf - it was simply recommending a realignment of priorities based on a decision that has already been announced (to nerf Chewy) by the developers. So if that was the intent of this thread, it fails miserably, and I would like to recommend reading comprehension classes to this thread’s participants.

    If not, then I digress.

  • How do you change your picture on here
  • Officers are fine.

What's a nerf? Why does it matter in this game - when nobody plays the Officer class? Can I get a second helping?
  • What if they just do something like every player buffed by an officer ability gets same points too? Officer has no advantage ... everyone gets hero’s quicker ... win win?

So what you’re saying is the noobs who can’t play, will still complain about officer and Chewie

    This.
  • Their guns have been nerfed many, many times. In their current state, the character can do nothing from medium - long range

What is the problem, is the constant free BP generation

If anything the mediocre players are just making things harder on themselves.

I can already beat officer users (even mains) to first hero with Specialist and Heavy, map dependent, at fair frequency.

All a nerf to officer's BP generation via buffs will do is make it more dependent on kills. Those who can consistently land ~10 kills in the first couple minutes are unaffected, but those who sometimes manage to sneak a hero early by well placed recharge spam + a couple kills will be SOL

It's always the same, doesn't matter how much peoples complain about anything in the Forums.
Bad Players will stay bad and lose, good Players will stay good and win. Nobody needs the "Officer" for this.
This Game is still some kind of a shooter.
If you can't aim, don't know the map or don't know how to play heroes, then you still will lose.

Good Players just pick the next "overpowered" class and destroy bad Players.
So what is the next one that needs a nerf badly after this? :)

Remove all classes? What do you mean with this? No troopers anymore?

Well, from the beginng I was supporting unlocking everything and that nothing had to level up.
Look at Grievous now and wait for Obi Wan. There will be always disputes who is getting him for upleveling.
In my opinion this upleveling thing, is for some gamers a reason for using hacks or cheats, because it do matter if you have 3 low level or 3 high level cards.
All in all forget this upleveling system it's just making trouble. If someone needs motivation for SWBF2 something is wrong with him.

Not if you use the Officer’s Defuser card. It makes the flash bang neither flash nor bang.

Why are they nerfing the Officer.... again?

Most annoying thing in this game is the lack of new maps.

Bads are, regrettably, the most vocal when something needs to be adjusted.

The fact is that if you're running it's because you suck, and the game shouldn't pander to players who suck.

Agreed, there is a counter to almost everything in the game. People don't want to "waste a slot" on the defuser card so it's easier to complain that something isn't fair and whine to see it nerfed. The flash bang is annoying but a quick turn and a couple of combat rolls will minimize it's effects. It's called situational awareness and practicing your craft. As many others have stated: improvise, adapt, overcome.

They think that making things weaker means they have a chance, like cutting a cats claws because it bit you etc
  • And the skill gap widens, glorious for those who don’t dwell at the bottom of it
  • The skill gap won’t change at all. How can it? All that will change is the noob tube score generator that’s the Officer class. This won’t change a thing for top tier players. Built-in bonus score has nothing to do with skill. Let the BP’s go to those that deserve. Kill streaks and objective score... That’s how it should be.

It widens with those who think nerfs actually will benefit their gameplay. Your right, zero impact for top tier, but below that there will be.

Same people dominating, same people getting hero’s first, same old story. The way it should be.

I just wish I could actually get good at aiming confidently, I like to think I'm better than average just not top tier, so hopefully nerfs won't matter for me. But on the other hand it is kind of annoying that they keep nerfing the same class over and over again. I use all the classes and have purposely avoided the officer because if I get used to the class I'll be fudged over when is nerfed and have to relearn the mechanics once again cuz I'm slow at learning. I only use the officer for when I want to spam flash grenades and refresh my teammates when they have enforcers or heavies, and it turns out that's not much.

In my case, nothing will really change. I am pretty mediocre as an individual; But also blissfully free of the hero curse that affects 90% of the playerbase. Unless nobody else picks the correct one(s) by the time I've mustered up 6k points, then I will. Otherwise, I'll simply stick with the prime picks and keep them recharged.

Me getting to play a hero and farming points doesn't matter as much as seeing "VICTORY!" flashed on my screen at the end of the round.

The sad part is that, as we've so often witnessed, some clueless, infernal mistake of god will pick something, wasting a valuable slot, and then suck at life for the rest of the match, when to this day, all it takes is one good Bossk with one dedicated Recharger for pretty much anything.

Right. But some things will change. Those Officers in the top five with half the eliminations of the top ten. And top tier Officers won’t be doubling equally skilled players’ scores with built in noob mechanics. Bonus score has nothing to do with skill, as you point out, regardless of what they may think about it. Lol. If this is balanced properly, and we all know that’s a big if, those who deserve the top spots will remain. Those who don’t, get back in line where you belong.

Nah you're better than me recently, at least since EoR lagmaking has ruined my ever trying to play with OOR friends

also yeah, the hero obsession is definitely what drives this call for nerfs to the officer. He's unspectacular other than BP gain in chokepoint maps, which is why you see way less of them in the trooper only modes.

If you're consistently getting killed by them with the other kits.....get gud seriously.

Agreed, results in my games will still be fairly static I imagine. Those who get more kills than the entire opposing team will remain, as it is meant to be
