Honestly, at this point, I don't care if it's a version of GA with fewer heroes or no heroes, or if it's a new mode entirely, or if it's just Turning Point from the 2015 game brought back. This game desperately needs a mode that happens on large maps with lots of infantry, where the focus is not on Heroes Heroes Heroes like with everything else in this game. i
It should either be no heroes, or only one per side at a time -- and very few Enforcers and Aerials as well, maybe two per side. Highly objective oriented. I'd play that all day long.

Give me a star wars version of Verduns 128 player event matches.

An update including that and several trooper skins as well as blasters, and, don't want to be too ambitious but maybe even some new class abilities, would be very welcome. Not a hero player in the first place and it's annoying how trooper players don't have a mode with a truly level playing field. Not to mention it's hard to get excited for a single hero per month considering all of the frustration of racing to get them in HvV/GA, and hoping to be on the correct team in the first place.
With infantry content like blasters, skins, and abilities you don't need to deal with any of that. It is universally available content.

They could even tie it to monthly faction events, i.e. the game lasts x days, you choose your faction and the side with the most kills is rewarded.
It’s a no brainer.
Like you said, we have Galactic Assault, but it's just over-saturated with Heroes, making it a nightmare for the infantry players in the final phases. This game really needs more infantry content, like weapons, skins (for factions besides the Galactic Republic), and Star Cards.
Totally agree. I don't care for Heroes, either. I have no desire to play as them. An update like that would be beyond amazing!

That Specialist rework was disappointing.
Would love a large trooper only mode. Turning point would work. More Extraction maps without enforcers would work too.
I really miss the BF2015 Outer Rim DLC. The maps were large, the heroes were only a major problem in the hands of certain players, the objectives were fun, and it had amazing replayability due to it's rotation of game modes and maps. Cargo and Droid Run were fun side trooper modes. HvV was a ton of fun. Extraction was amazing.
That would be better than what we've got, but I'd still prefer a mode with some Heroes but just fewer. It doesn't have to be all or nothing, we could have one hero per side at a time. Maybe cap the Enforcers at 2 per side at a time, while we're at it.
Sadly, you may be right. But if we don't express ourselves in this forum they gave us for just that purpose, then there is just about zero chance there will be anything but Heroes, Heroes, Heroes.
New/maintain permanent game modes:
* Heroes Unleashed OR Unlimited Power (I am sadly on vacation and will miss the whole event)
* Galactic Assault
* Extraction (+6 maps; remove Enforcers)
* Turning Point (use current GA maps if necessary)
* Hero Blast (6v6 HvV)
If those 5 modes were available, the game would be 1000% better, imo.

WAYYY too many heroes watering the experience down. if you run into one its pretty much curtains.

They kind of 'owe' us a true 'trooper weekend' for that Strike/Blast playlist with the misleading title as an event.

Normal GA weekend, HU weekend, No Heroes weekend, Era Specific Limited-Heroes weekend
Different groups of players would likely cry foul on all of those, but I think it would be great.
Introducing a new event: Heroes Forever! (During this event, you can play HvV. That's it.)

Maybe it could be a reworked version of "Walker Assault" (in quotes, since the MTT is not a walker, but serves the same purpose, so the mode might need a new title). The units could be the same as the last one. Which would mean

This is what modes like HvV are for. Play cross-era hero battles with all available heroes and villains. It can be fun at times but this is not what the large game modes should be about. The large game modes like GA should be focused around infantry & vehicles. Heroes should be limited to a maximum number of 2 per side and no cross-era heroes must be allowed. I just want to play large, immersive movie like SW battles, which capture the essence of the battles and focus on infantry & vehicles. Cross-era heroes just break that immersion and having a dozen heroes on the field at a time renders regular infantry useless.
If GA stays this hero focused and will keep cross-era heroes, we will definitely need another large game mode, with a limited amount of heroes and no cross-era heroes so infantry gameplay will become more important again. Just having blast & strike is not enough (as those modes are only available on small maps and don't include vehicles).
This game is just GA and the yet to be released Conquest mode which will probably kill the GA mode.
This is what happens when temporary events are used as a substitute for permanent content. Players get bored and move on to other games.
